Please don't ever make the mistake of letting them touch your head hair, you are going to regret it.
I made myself very clear that I have curly hair and want to retain length with my layers. The lady showed me she would chop off 2-3 inches which I was okay with. I don't know what possessed her, but she took off 4-5 inches and I'm back to square one with regrowing my hair.
When I pointed out that it was more than what I had agreed to having chopped off, she gave me a nonsensical explanation of how more and more hair is chopped off as you get to the top when she was takin off 4-5 inches from the literal second layer. I've gotten layers my whole life and I have never had that much hair chopped off on the second layer.
The owner walked in and tried to resolve it. I decided to stay because I didn't know what else to do since she had already chopped off more hair than I wanted on one side of my hair.
The hair dresses was rougher with my hair for the rest of service and pushed my head or tugged at my hair a few times after that.
I also got my roots touched up. I checked today and I have many visibly gray strands that were simply not dyed. And she didn't even wash out the dye properly because every time I scrape my head, my nails are picking up the dye still on my scalp.
Love the waxing services and the 2 owners are sweet ladies. They have just hired a hair stylist who does not know what she is doing and it's unfortunate. Also, she has difficulty with English, which is not a big deal overall, but it's not an ideal situation when you're explaining how you want your hair to be cut. I don't think she understood what I wanted and just did whatever she felt like doing. I have serious regrets about letting her touch my hair.
Edit: I just spent two days crying over how much she's cut my hair. I'm literally looking into get her license suspended. She cut off HALF my hair!! How the fuck do you do that to someone?! If you don't have the skills, don't fucking offer the service! I will be reporting you all to the better business bureau. I don't know where they found her. She clearly does not know what the hell she's doing.
Update: they'd initially given me a $10 discount on the haircut and I was too mad and upset to process it, so I paid the remaining amount. I called today to let them know that I'm dissatisfied and and want a refund for the hair service. They offered a to redo it, but I no longer feel comfortable with them touching my hair ever again. They told me they would give me a refund if and only if I took down this review and went to pick up the $35 in person with my driving license - so I refused. I also paid with a card so going in person is completely unnecessary. I will definitely be including this incident in my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more
