This salon has gained a new customer! I stopped by without an appointment on a mid-Friday morning to get a mani/pedi. I was willing to wait since I was a "walk-in" but gladly was greeted by Ann immediately and taken right away. I appreciated that I was asked if one lady did my hands, and another my toes (since no other salon has EVER asked me that), and I absolutely did not mind one bit. My pedicure came out BEAUTIFULLY! Unfortunately, I do not remember the lady's name who made my toes look oh so pretty! I was expecting to get a UV gel manicure, as that is what I have always had, even though I know over time it has made my nails weaker. New Wonder does not do the UV gel, so I got an SNS powder gel manicure (for the first time ever!). Being a little hesitant to try something new, I put my hands in Sue's care and she did NOT disappoint! My hands look more beautiful than they have in such a long time! I was also very impressed with their COVID protocols. New tools were taken out of individual packages for both my toes and hands, partitions placed at every station, masks are required, and I was asked to wash my hands BEFORE I got comfortable in my pedicure chair. This place sucks so much ass. It was 35 minutes before closing and my daughter and I walked in for a basic mani pedi. I asked if it was too late for service, assuring them there was no pressure. A woman, presumably the manager, assured us it was alright and directed us to the pedicure chairs. Apparently it wasn't fine, because it was immediately clear that the workers were pissed that they had to do someone's nails so close to closing time. Mad bitchy when they had to ask me any questions! We felt SO rushed too, which left us wondering why we were given the green light in the first place. To make matters worse, a few days later I discovered my toe nails have a huge crack right down the middle of them!!! How the hell???? Honestly I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review if the shittiness ended at the salon, but alas, it's dragged well beyond two weeks since my appointment. Figured I'd warn the others. I would leave zero stars if I could. This place is terrible. Horrible service and ridiculously overpriced. On 1/27/24 my daughter and I went in for nails and pedicures around 430pm. I had a 7 day vacation the next day so I wanted our nails to look gorgeous. We got the gel extensions with designs and basic gel pedicures. We both had a specific design which they were unable to do. The job was rushed, a bit sloppy and the nails weren't properly cured which left my nails flimsy and bendable. Then they charged me $260 plus tip. Within the 7 day vacation my daughter lost 4 nails and I lost one. Our other nails are lifting but I've been babying my hands. I absolutely do not recommend you spending your money at this establishment the whole experience and the work is tragic. I left feeling robbed. Sadly we didn't have time for them to fix them as they were shutting down while completing our services. If it wasn't for the early morning flight I would have went back the following day for them to fix the issues with the nails. read more

Came in for a meni pedi and a hand gel polish. At first it was fine, I didn't feel much trouble until I got home. They overscrubbed and scratched my foot. It feels super dry and hurt now. They even cut my pinky I'm praying they disinfected their tools cuz I didn't see it. Went here about a year ago. I had to do an appointment and couldn't just walk in which I understood because of covid protocol. My issue was that the owner, Ann wouldn't give me long acrylic nails because she said they would "break". She literally refused to do what I was requesting. I've gone to so many nail salons and NEVER had this problem, just say you can't do long nails! she refused to give me the length I wanted, which was not even that long. I ended up being so unhappy with what i was given. This turned me off so much already like the pricing wasn't bad enough. This place Is extremely overpriced and I will never come back here again! Really happy to have went here! I was a walk-in, unplanned. Did a mani pedi and the service was wonderful. I believe my tech was named Jaina? She was super sweet and my nails came out perfect! Cleaned up my cuticles perfectly, didn't cut too short, didn't have to remind her to go back when there was a snag later. $25 well spent! I went here one time and WILL NEVER go again I told lady I wanted my nails "straight with a rounded corner" - which one would think is a common request. She filed me nails completely round THREE times. My nails are so short 3 are bleeding. Then she went for the cuticle remove and CUT the SKIN ON THE SIDES OF MY FINGER. More blood. Someone else came to fix it- and didn't even cut my cuticles. At all. I was then told this was $38. WHAT. That is ROBBERY. And the owner Anne, tried to make me pay the whole thing. Business owner - the customer is ALWAYS right. When I leave with blood all over my finder's and my nails so shorts my fingers hurt---- you DO NOT charge me. And then she had the audacity to say "next time you come...". No WAY will I EVER go back there. If the woman can not understand the word "straight" in English - she shoulf NOT be working. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I, unfortunately, did not learn my lesson from the last time I made an appointment here as they overcommit and overbook. Last time, was there for hours for a regular mani and pedi because they had overbooked and kept pausing in between my appt in order to begin with other customers- a super stressful experience. This time, I booked again and was a bit surprised that they said they would take me on short notice. It was my birthday and so I wanted to treat myself. I got there 10 mins late due to traffic- very unlike me and I was super apologetic. They asked me to wash my hands and wait. Ten minutes later they asked me to come back an hour later because they had too many customers. I explained I had an appointment and they blamed it all on me being late. Again, I take full responsibility for that, so then tell me that when I get there! I told the owner it was my birthday and soooo not nice of her to (1) take the appt, and (2) not tell me when I got there that they can no longer accommodate. Instead, I got yelled at at the top of her lungs that I shouldn't have been late and she has other customers she needs to care for. Great birthday experience. Worst customer service ever!! read more

Received a manicure and pedicure. My nails were done nicely, but I question their cleanliness. I watched one nail tech, take her dirty tools and place them in the sealed "sanitized" plastic and seal it up. The second nail tech wiped her tools with the washcloth used on the table and then proceeded to place hers in the sanitized wrapper. Neither set of tools were actually sanitized. Amazing place!!!! I just starting coming to this nail salon what an experience I have every time I come here. Ann the owner really polite and takes her time working on my nails. While I get my nails done I get a massage. I just got my pedicure for the first time. Lisa the girl that did my toes was very good. Must say very clean they use plastic bags for everyone that is getting there toes done when soaking. All the instruments are packaged and open right in front of you. Came for the first time last week. I was running super late, so it was close to closing, but they still took me for a gel manicure. One woman, that I presume is the owner, started, but then someone else finished my nails. They have a lot of colors to choose from, and I'm overall pretty satisfied with it. The salon was recently renovated (never saw it prior), so it's nice and new. There were a lot of people there who seemed to be repeat customers. They also have a point card and a number of women were told they had a free service the next time they came because they had earned so many points. Took my niece for a gel manicure. The lady applied the gel then was still filing them after an HOUR. My niece started to get upset as the nails were still uneven and nowhere near finished and she was hurting her, so I stepped in and tried to ask what was taking so long and why the nails were so jagged and uneven and she attempted to glue the edges with dollar store nail glue! My niece actually left unfinished as she was crying and I could not get a real explanation from the technician as she claimed to not understand what the problem was. Another disappointing nail salon. I've been hunting for a new place now for months and tried just about all of them on Dogwood Avenue now and one is worse than the other. I came here, Annie did my nails, I told her I had gel powder on my nails and wanted to switch to SNS - she had another girl start to remove my polish but was done with her customer and took over. She started to use the nail drill to sand off my acrylic, when I asked her why she wasn't soaking it off she told me my nails were too thin and she would leave a layer on and put the SNS on top of it. Now I knew this wasn't going to end well but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. So she's filing away and then she starts removing some of my acrylic with a metro card - so I said to her why didn't you just soak it off? You are wasting your time and mine by all the filing. So now she is insulted, and starts filing away vigorously and my nails are every which way but straight, so needless to say 1 week later my SNS is already lifting off my nails - a complete waste of my time and my money. I just wish these salons would STOP trying to cut corners and do a good job and use the right products. I also asked her to use my own files and she was reluctant to do so, so I told her they were from my previous nail salon not the drugstore. I am at an utter loss, I don't know where to go to get a decent service in Franklin Square anymore. They nickel and dime you and don't give you a good end result. I had a terrible pedicure here Today! Terrible. It was obvious the technician did not speak English and she did not know what she was doing. I asked for a regular pedicure and asked to add callous remover. As she is giving me the pedicure, she skips the callous remover. And when I asked her to do it, she is almost confused, as if she can't possibly do it at this point (She just finished putting cream on my legs.) So she calls over to the other technicians. She is trying to say that I didn't ask for callous remover and she is arguing with me. Or at least trying to because she barely speaks English. And now the other technicians are TALKING ABOUT ME IN THEIR LANGUAGE. This drives me mad. So disrespectful to customers. She did the callous remover. The polish job she did was terrible. My nails were uneven. I didn't want all of them cut so she cut some but didn't file the rest. After drying, I really noticed how bad the polish was! I didn't smudge it. She just did a horrible job. I went back in to have her fix it, and all she did was put a new coat of clear over it. So I spent 30 plus tip to come home and do it myself. These places hire anyone so they can take more people in and make more money. She didn't know what she was doing. Im so busy. I just want to sit down for 20 minutes and get a good pedicure. read more
