I have been going to 2B nail salon for years. It has recently changed ownership and is now Serene Nail Lounge. I had a gel manicure and a pedicure on July 16th with Sunny. That was definitely my last visit. At the end of my service Sunny told me how much I owed her. I paid using a credit card and a gift certificate. I was in the process of taking cash out of my wallet for a tip. I laid $5 on the counter and then she handed me the receipt to sign for the credit card. I stopped taking more cash out to sign the receipt. Of course, I was planning on giving her more than $5. I just stopped to sign the receipt. Sunny then said, "$5.....that's all you are going to give me?" And she proceeded to laugh. She made the comment several times. A TIP IS FOR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. IT IS NOT AN EXPECTATION. I have been going here for the past few years and have been loyal due to the great customer service and convenience of location. Saddly it is under new ownership, and the quality of service has gone down hill. My last visit there was with an appointment and waited 45 minutes and was not impressed with the pedicure at all. I have been going here for years as they are close to my job. Since the pandemic they are a bit pricey but they take their time.

Let's start off with the fact that the nails were $75 (not including tip) for just a fill in???? There is no way that's correct. I usually go to a different place but tried this one because it is closer to where I work, I asked for a UV gel manicure and then was surprised to get a LED gel manicure (that they never told me about until they pulled out the lamp). I trusted the process but then got lumpy looking (I asked to make them thinner 3 times and the girl just swiped a file over the sides one time-- it was enough where i just stopped asking eventually). Then a week later they started lifting on my nail bed. REALLLLLLLY not happy with the service. The lady asked if it was my first time there, it was and it will certainly be my last. Gave 2 stars because everyone seemed decently kind. But HOLY COW A RIP OFF FOR NAILS THAT EVERY NAIL LIFTED WHICH SHOULDN'T HAPPEN. read more

Sent my girl here to get her nails done after the 2nd day her nails are breaking like crazy. The finish was so brittle. And mind you her nails are real. While visiting the area Yelp reviews determined my decision to use this nail salon. In terms of walk in I was taken right away. The gel polish was done expertly and lasted for weeks. Our hotel was close by so easy return trip for pick up. The technician was pleasant in conversation. Very clean environment and loved the end result. Wish I had taken a before picture. I had made a mess of my nails while doing them myself. This is not my norm but I was pressed for time traveling from Carolinas to NY for a wedding. I needed calmer colors for work. In my opinion people either love this place or hate it. Me personally I love it. I have never received bad service here. The owner is so friendly and helpful. Everything is so clean. They give you your own box so you have your own file and nail supplies ( which is something that sold me). The pedicures are amazing. They are a little pricey, but it is the best pedicures I've received. I will never go back to this salon. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. I walked in at 11:50 for a gel manicure. I was told that I would have to wait 20 minutes, fine. I asked her how long the manicure would take, and she said 30 minutes. 50 minutes total, okay that's fine. (My job is strict about our lunch hours). I asked her to soak my nails so that when it was my time, the polish would come off quickly. At 12:23, I told the woman that I could not wait any longer and that I had to go back to work. She told me that I had not been there for 30 minutes. Even after I told her the time I got there and the current time, her response was "No, not really." I requested that they take my nail polish off. Which she would not do . She said because I got my nails done somewhere else, it wouldn't come off. I left in a huff and told them how rude they were. As I exited, they all laughed. It was a disgusting experience and ruined my day. I was so excited about having a nail place right by work, but this turned out awful. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I tried this salon because they are close to my job. I looked on Yelp and it appeared they had a number of good reviews. Even though I like a salon near my house in Suffolk County, I always have to go on the wknd since I can't get there after work so I figured maybe I could go to this place closer to work occasionally for convenience. I called to see if they could take me within ten minutes and they said yes. There were about 4 regulars there so I was relieved when I saw that. I had SNS (powder gel) done by Kim and all I can say is they are bumpy, uneven and look like I slept with the sheets over them. She toweled off my nails with a wet towel and my nails weren't even dry yet. I cannot believe I paid $40 plus a 20% tip for this mess. I honestly didn't notice how horrible they looked until I got out into the daylight. There were about 7 workers who were waiting outside by the car for her to finish up with me so they could all leave together. The pressure for her to hurry up and finish with me was palpable. I thought about going back the next day and complaining but I prefer to just leave a review and never return. Hence, my review here. My only advice is to try to find out which nail tech is good and go to her - DO NOT WALK IN!!!! PS: Kim was very sweet but owner not very welcoming to a potential new customer. read more

I am so happy I found this nail salon!! I stopped in randomly because I needed a fill in and the service was amazing. My nail technician Henna was very polite and introduced herself and placed my bag on a chair next to me, she did my fill in which included cutting the cuticles, a hand scrub, and a short back massage. She also saved all the nail files she used on me in a small bag so next time I come I would reuse those supplies. They are very clean and sterile and take their time. I cannot wait to come back and try their pedicure which includes a hot stone massage! Very happy with the service and will come back again!! read more

After having gone to C Nail Studio in Mineola only to find out the salon was very dingy and dirty, not to mention did not do acrylics, we went to 2B Nails on a total whim. The salon is immaculately clean and all tools were surgically sterilized. The manicure was not painful or rushed, and we didn't feel that the quality of service lacked due to our decision to opt for acrylics over gel. I asked Sue for a very natural French look, very short with rounded nails, and she did a great, very detail-oriented job. A nice exfoliating and oil treatment were included in the service, along with a really wonderful hand and shoulder massage. I will return to 2B Nails for the remainder of my time in the area for the great service, fine job, and high standard of cleanliness. read more

I've learned that since they are so busy it's better to make an appointment rather than to walk in so I arrive before they open to make sure that I'm on time. I really love this nail salon - wish they were more staffed on the weekends! They are super friendly and VERY sanitary. I loved the pedicure and they give you your 10 minutes worth of a massage! This place is located next to my office, so it is certainly very convenient. They are a salon who saves your nail supplies including nail files under your name in a box so you don't have to use a file that everyone else has touched, which is nice. They only have 5 or 6 pedicure chairs, so if they are busy, the wait is long. I used to get gel manicures there which were decent, but they do not offer powder manicures so I have since stopped going. My advice is to go on a day they are not busy, or make sure you make an appointment! read more

My regular shorter than short nails and they charged me SEVENTY FIVE dollars! This better last 3 months. Wow, I can't say enough about this place! I returned yesterday for a pedicure, and I always wonder why I don't go back more often. I called in the morning to make an appointment, just so I wouldn't have to wait. I know it often gets crowded in the evening and I wanted to make sure to get a spot. I walked in 5 minutes early and all pedicure stations were taken. I sat for about 5 minutes and sure enough, they were ready for me by my 6pm appointment that I had made originally. This place is clean beyond belief. Everything is either disposable, or noticeably sterilized. I just got a straight pedicure but I am not kicking myself that I didn't spring for the extra 10 minute massage. I will definitely up my game next time I return, and I won't wait so long either! They have disposable liners for the pedicure tubs which I love. So far James has given me the best manicures and my nails come out clean and beautiful afterwards.
