My wedding nails. I love them, thank you so much Maggie. Absolutely perfect for my special day. Leo did my pedicure and he is great.
I am very picky with my nails and toes and I will say it was worth it. Maggie did my nails and Anna did my toes . I like my nails and toes sharp straight. Maggie executed 1000% . She talked a little junk about my previous French ( which I think is funny ) but my initial nail salon is fire so I think she was just hating LOL. BUT I will definitely go back and get French. I tried color which is usually not my thing but I am in loveeeee . My pedicure could've been a little more sharp square but she did a good job with shape overall. The nails are given. It's sharp, square , neat. She didn't take long at all. For a new nail salon I love the 20% promo off your total. That will have me coming back . They are a little pricier then my salon but nothing crazy. When you walk in the lighting is very nice and it's very clean. They aren't rude and they acknowledge you soon as you walk in. I was the indecisive one on my color prolonging my service.
My daughter was a walk-in. She didn't have to wait as technician Mandy was assigned to work on her powder manicure. My daughter said Mandy did a rush job on her powder manicure. For $45, there was no pushing in or cutting of cuticles. The tech used her fingers to pull out hanging skin instead of a cuticle scissor. Yuck!!!! My daughter's nails were filed but the entire manicure only took about 20 minutes. Mandy didn't seem as if she enjoyed her job and for that much money, we both expected more service than she received. We stopped in because my husband was getting a therapeutic massage next door at the Post Wellness Center and we had to kill time. Unfortunately, we should have gone to a better salon that doesn't rush its services.
Always such attention to detail, and pleasant experience! My new go to spot (shoutout Remy for the cutest fall design)
I'm on my trip in NYC and been trying to look for any nails salon for my pedicure and found out this cute salon in the town. I had no appointment and walked-in about an hour their closing time, just basically wanted to do pedicure but then Maggie reached out to me, looked at my nails and introduced me their UV-gel service which is I've never experienced it. I said, sure I can try. I didn't know this change would take longer than I expected and was over their closing time. But Adora (hope I remember her name right) and Remy, both of them had my pedicure and manicure done best. The whole team stayed until the end. That being said, their service is the best. Friendly, highly recommended to you, ladies! Thank you, the Painted M team! Good luck to you guys on your business! I got pedicure #1, gel polish (sorry, no photos for my toes ); manicure with UV-gel, gel polish and chrome. The price is acceptable in general which is compared to California. You get what you've paid for. Good thing to experience in NYC.
Called ahead for a manicure and was told I could come in whenever! Leo did an amazing job with my gel manicure. Spent extra time on my cuticles, shaping the nail, filing to ensure they weren't sharp! Great experience and will 100% be back for another manicure and a pedicure!
I found Maggie's salon on a Yelp search whim and it's forever changed my nail game. She used to work at a salon in Queens before she opened up her business to date, and I knew I had to visit after reading her clientele still drive out (or take the train) specifically for her. Gel extensions are my go-to and through all the fillings, my natural nails have continued to grow as normal. Maggie's technique and diligence in making sure the nail is shaped and molded to perfection, shows with the longevity of my nails. And for my fellow NYC borough commuters, if you treat yourself to a visit, the mall and supermarket is nearby for your weekend errands. When you discover an amazing business owner, talented nail artist and overall a wonderful person you trust that'll always execute what you request - it's crystal clear, schedule an appointment with Maggie now.
Newly opened, currently offering 20% off every service. Been here twice already. Great service. Manicures are good, I did get nicked by the gentleman, but it was very small and not too bad. Pedicure, I did a Spa pedicure with massage. It was good. Nothing extra ordinary yet. But I will give them a few try's as they always have availability quickly and I'd like to be serviced by a different person there as well. They have spa pedicure with wine service which pretty new and interesting for a fun girls afternoon or something. They are very friendly and personable. Salon is clean with new equipment and plenty of parking in the back. Wish them lots of luck and success.
Newly opened nail salon! Everything is very clean. Coco worked on my nails meticulously. She made sure the shape was how I liked it and it wasn't too thick. She even suggested some glitter with my color. I didn't have time to do my pedicure today but I will definitely be back to try the pedicure. They are currently running a grand opening special of 20% off all services. Worth a try!
EXPENSIVE FOR NO DAMN REASON. I wouldn't mind the price if it is that the end result was beautiful, but nope. The nail art is very unappealing. It barely resembles the design that I had asked for and I had shown a picture. I am extremely disappointed. This place is ridiculous. I also got my toes done with regular polish and I was then asked if I want to pay $2 for quick dry. I was baffled n honestly a bit disgusted by the question. I am paying so much money for the service and quick dry is not included? It was a spontaneous trip to the nail salon, but I can assure you that I will NEVER visit them again. Very beautiful interior, but they are obviously money hungry and whatever talent they have, was not displayed. I'm am so tired of being taken advantage of by the service industry and I was going to let it go, like I always do with other business places. But after thinking about the cost and ridiculousness, I am extremely angered. If you can't execute a design, SAY THAT. I am not paying money to be anyone's guinea pig. I would recommend that you save your money and visit somewhere else. You may end up paying a lot of money for mediocre results. UPDATE: I am not sure if compliments are showcased, but I am having a hard time responding to the compliment that was sent to me by this business place. So I will attached it here, along with my response and proof. MY RESPONSE: No tip was given and I never once told you I liked what was on my nails. So I am not sure what impression I gave you that makes you think I liked what was done. I was not happy with the children's writing on my fingernails. That impression was a mistake on your judgement. The fact that you're lying is hilarious. You close at 7pm, and you're saying that I left your salon at 10pm? I have attached proof. On June 5th, the day I came to your salon, I ordered a Uber at 4:47pm, arrived at your salon around 5:13pm. I left your store around 7:35pm, walked to the Popeyes that's 6 minutes away. I went in for a couple of minutes, but the Popeyes was too full, so I ordered an Uber to go to another Popeyes at 7:55pm that took about 5 minutes to come. That was the timeline. I did not stay at your store 3 hours after closing. Your analogy is beyond stupid. #1 I have never been to a McDonald and they charge me for extra ketchup. #2 You ensuring that your customers' nails dry quickly, so that they can LEAVE on time for closing, should be apart of the service. I came to your store, showed you the design, one of your staff took forever to do it POORLY, then my my toes were done with regular polish (like I requested) and while they were drying--you asked me if I want to pay for quick dry and I said no. Me staying 30 MINUTES after closing time was completely your fault. Quick dry should've been included in the service IF you wanted me to leave on time. 30 years of experience and that's what was done? That's very interesting. You should be ashamed. I am not sure if you have 20/20 vision but when I look at the nail designs I don't see twins, I see long long lost cousins. The design that was done does not look like the picture I showed, the words on it aren't even spelt or written correctly. But spelling might not be you and your staffs area of expertise, as shown in your response. How dare you try to insult me with such an invitation. Not only did you lie and try to dismiss me, but you had the audacity to say that the design was done properly. If it was done properly why are you inviting me to your salon to fix the imperfections??? You're contradicting yourself. I said I would NEVER go back to your salon and I meant it. Go use your 30 years of experience on someone else. UPDATE: I still don't know how to respond to compliments on here. So again, I will respond to it in this review section, where I have attached the compliment. MY RESPONSE: You're very silly. You didn't even acknowledge the fact that you lied about the time that I left your salon. It is as though, you are trying to make it seem like I was difficult and gave your staff a hard time. Which was not the case. You are now blaming the crappy work on me. Did you not learn anything about different types of customers during your thirty years of experience? Not every client is going to tell you to correct your work on spot. It is your responsibility as the nail tech to give the client what they are paying you for. And if you fail to do so, it is not the clients responsibility to tell you, the one with experience, where you went wrong. Because you should know, you are the nail tech. Also, I have never been to a nail salon where I am told that quick dry is an additional service. But after all, it is your business, you can do whatever. Thank you for teaching me to not accept mediocrity!!!!
Maggie is the best tech around! I've come to her a couple times. I like my acrylics very thin and natural and she didn't disappoint. Prices aren't bad. The facility is very clean and newly renovated. Definitely found my new nail spot
Excellent work , Sunday open , lots of parking, best service! Easy appointment, walking they will take. Maggie is the best

Looking for long lasting nails?! Look no further. Maggie is the answer. I have very weak nails and they break easily. Maggie has been taking care of my nails for more than 5 years now. Even when she relocated from Flushing to Westbury. I traveled for an hour to see her. Why? Because when she does my nails, it lasts for 3-4 weeks and still looks good. For a busy career mom, I don't have the time nor the budget to maintain my nails every two weeks. I appreciate someone who takes pride of his or her work and ensures everything is done right. Come visit Maggie. You won't regret it! read more

This place definitely has 5 stars for a reason Let's start with the fact that I walked in on a Friday with no appointment. There were people there but it wasn't too crowded which was awesome. I didn't have to wait 1 second before they say me in the pedicure chair and started on me. Next, the customer service was warm and welcoming from beginning to end. There have been a lot of horror stories about poor customer service and even aggressiveness at nail salons, but this was nowhere near that. I got the green tea pedicure which had so many features that were just awesome and relaxing. My FAVORITE part was the 10-minute calf/foot massage at the end. She set a timer and still gave me some extra time massaging me after it went off but I was still so sad for it to end lol I really like the color I chose and would definitely be open to coming back. The one and only slight "negative" I would add is that it was a bit pricy even before tip (the green tea pedicure with gel color cost $73 with cash or $75 with card) but such is life - you definitely get what you pay for read more

This is my first time coming to Painted M. I called last minute to get a fill in and pedicure. Maggie was able to fit me in starting with the pedicure. The pedicure was good but dang it the nails!?? Maggie did an AMAZING job. I am super picky about who does my nails and even though I have a place I've been going to that I like, Maggie surpassed my expectations. This may have become my go place. read more

I was reluctantly looking for a new manicure/pedicure salon, I loved my old one so much, but it's just become inconvenient since I recently moved. I came across this NEWLY OPENED and very clean gem! Lucky me! I got a gorgeous chrome powder gel manicure and Maggie was so professional and sweet. My 2 daughters came with me and one got a color gel manicure and the other a regular manicure. Both got the Pearl pedicures and we are all so pleased! Looking forward to my own pedicure next week... read more
