I needed a quick manicure and pedicure since I've stopped doing gel and I needed some professional tlc. Although it was a little out the way, the great reviews enticed me to come here. Pros: Jenny did my pedicure and she did a really good job with that. Cons: personally the place looked outdated. That shouldn't necessarily deter you from going but getting my nails done is an experience for me and this didn't add to it. A different person did my manicure and it wasn't the best job. My nails were snagging on my clothes as soon as I left. I didn't realize she left some of my nails jagged and uneven when filing them down. Plus the nail polish coat was uneven. I found myself in Lynbrook and needed some "me" time on a random afternoon. I popped in here around 1:30pm and there were only a few women inside the salon. I was waited on immediately. They had so, so many colors to choose from for powder gel and I wasn't left sitting idly for a half hour with acetone on my fingers while my tech dealt with other customers (which so many other salons do!). The manicurist, Vivian, spent a good 90 minutes meticulously removing my old powder gel, cutting my nails (a little shorter than I anticipated but my nails grow so fast), filing my nails, clearing my cuticles, etc. She did two layers of powder on each finger and used the base powder both before and after. So thorough! Excellent job! The best part is that when you use a card they don't charge you taxes or fees. My manicurist got a well-deserved 20% tip. I usually come here all the time. They do a great job with SNS or powder dip nails and that's what I usually get so I'm a regular here. Their powder gels last and are good quality, and many of the women that go there also get the same service. Their pedicures are subpar. I've never had an amazing pedicure before but it just got the job done. I finally decide to go to my "trusted" salon to do my birthday nails which I always do a little more for my birthday and I wanted to do ombré nails. She started to do my nails and I thought when she would put the top coat over it, it would come together but it didn't. I sat there for 2 hours while she knew she couldn't do the look and then got mad when I asked back for my money. I finally got back my money and I took my services elsewhere. Sonya did my pedicure and manicure and she was extremely attentive and gentle. When she was trimming and toes she even asked if I was satisfied with the shape. Love it! So happy with my experience here!!! It had been at least 6 years since I've had my nails professionally done, so I was a little nervous about how much I would like having longer nails. Getting to the location was quick and easy. While it is street parking, it's residential street which I'm perfectly fine with! Also saw a house with a WV flag which is completely random on LI and has nothing to do with the salon, but since it is my home state, it made me smile!! I was paired with a woman named Anna and she is absolutely amazing!! She talked me into trying some kind of powder -- honestly, I'm not really sure what we used since I'm not at all familiar with anything besides typical nail polish. I was so happy with the end result! The length we went with was perfect so all of my worries have went away. She also gave me an amazing shoulder rub while waiting on my nails to dry!! I think my total ended up being $35, and between the service & quality, it was more than worth it! I wanted to wait until a few days after my appointment to write this review so I could see how well my nails have held up (also something I was nervous about). 5 days later and they are perfect! I'm so excited to come back and see Anna. UPDATE: I have been coming here now for a little over a year now and the service has been consistently amazing every single visit. I always leave 100% happy with my nails - Anna does such an amazing job! If you haven't tried SNS powder, try it. My natural nails are now so long and still healthy. 100% my new nail spot!!! I made an appointment for 10am this morning and as soon as I got there Vinci was ready to start my dip powder manicure. This is my 3rd time getting dip powder (first two times at different locations) and this has been by far my best experience. Vinci was super kind and patient when I was picking a color. I went in for tips and powder gel. I'm no expert, but aren't they suppose to cut your nails before putting in the tips? Asking Bc my real nails are long and she just filed but not cut, is that suppose to be something I ask for or they automatically do it? She cut the fake nails, but not my real nails. I came here based on yelp reviews, and the salon I've recently been using took a massive nose-dive in quality. Walking in, the establishment is clean. The staff are friendly and greeted me when I arrived, a young lady by the name of Sophia took care of me. Got a Blue Diamond pedicure first and thoroughly enjoyed it. Callous remover is an extra $8 so I recommend getting one of the packages-- foot massage is included in most of them, as well as the remover, if you're so inclined. I have some serious hooves from wearing work boots for 60+ hrs a week. Just what I needed. Selection of colours is great, including the long-lasting Esse line-- an additional $2 dollars-- totally worth it and I've been charged more for it in the past. I got an SNS manicure and was thoroughly pleased. Sophia took her time, didn't leave any gunk in my fingertips and cut/shaped as I wanted them. They have a huge selection of SNS and off-brand dip powders. Something for everyone. Other stuff: each set of tools is autoclaved and opened in front of you, including disposable buffs. Liner in the pedi tub. Fully pleased with the cleanliness of the practice here. This is my new go-to spot. read more

I came here with great expectations after reading the wonderful reviews posted here on Yelp. Two (2) of the technicians listed are no longer and Vinci answered the phone when I called, so I made an appointment with her. My first appointment went well and my SNS Powder Gel dip was very good. My second appointment with Vinci was for a pedicure and SNS Powder Gel Dip. I arrived 45 minutes early, so I let one (1) of the guys do my pedicure. My manicure was good. My third appointment with Vinci was the appointment from hell. I arrived at 3:20 for my 3:30 appointment to be told by Anna that Vinci was "still working on another customer". I asked, "how much longer will Vinci be because I have a 3:30 appointment". Anna says, "she is gonna be a while because the customer had an earlier appointment but got stuck behind an accident". My response to that was, "what does that have to do with my 3:30 appointment"? Anna tells me, "come back later". "No, I am not doing that", I say. Anna says next, "come back tomorrow". I say, "my appointment is with Vinci today at 3:30". Anna says that "the customer is having a spa pedicure and manicure and Vinci will be tied up for a while. Let Cindy soak your old gel". I agree to this. Now Cindy has soaked and removed my old gel and Vinci is still working on the woman who was obviously very late for her appointment so Cindy starts the SNS process on my nails. I should have walked out and found a new at that point. My appointment was on a Monday and the first nail lifted on Thursday. I want my $3.00 tip back. Vinci did not not even have the decency to come over to me and apologize for the bad treatment I received that day. They don't ever have to worry about me coming back to that establishment and I am going to take the friends I referred to them with me. read more

Disclaimer: it really pains me to write this because I honestly feel like it takes a lot of energy to post a not so nice review but here it goes . This is my 2nd time coming here and I've had the same issue with nail polish colors. On both occasions I asked if they had the same color in gel (for a mani) and regular (for a pedi) and I was told yes until it came time to do it. As you'll see in the pictures- this was HORRIBLY DONE- there's a line of demarcation on my toes, the colors ARE NOT the same, and the lack of inconsistency of polishing my nails to the nail bed. The first time I came was about a month ago and I got a peach color- the pedi was done okay but when it came to the mani they "ran out" of the gel color so I had to get a sister color. Seems like an honest mistake right? No big deal I came back yesterday on July 27th and guess what.. the same issue. I picked out a polish and I asked the same question; if they had the color in a gel and regular form and I was told yes. It seems like they prefer to do the pedi first while the gel mani soaks off which makes sense. I noticed that the person doing my pedi left toe jam in my toes. I didn't want to say anything because I assumed that she saw it and was going to get to it. She literally was about to put the base coat on when I had to stop and tell her if she can remove the toe jam. As she applies the top coat and it dries i realized that there's a line of demarcation on my big toe - I was truly upset about that but didn't say anything. Moving on to my gel mani - as she puts the color on I noticed a DISTINCT difference between my toes and nails- I immediately asked her if this is the same color- as you'll see in the pictures, the polish on my toes is way more pigmented and less sheer than my mani. She showed me the bottle and I saw it had the same name but OBVIOUSLY it doesn't hold true. I was internally upset but I kept my cool because I didn't want to make a scene. I politely asked to change the color since it's not the same as what's on my toes and the lady mumbled about how late it is (it was 7pm and they closed at 730). I was so upset ! This is a 2/2 for nail polish blunders. I would've felt better if they allowed me to change the color - I guess she noticed my mood changed and gave me the display of the plastic polished nails to pick from. I picked another color but again, it didn't look anything like the display. She continued to mumble about the time and I just sat there upset. To add insult to injury, she then said " I like your toe polish better" DUDE REALLY?! So do i! That's why i picked it ! If it wasn't obvious, I'm not coming back - sucks because now I have to find a new nail place. read more

I've been coming here on and off for a couple of years and in general have been fairly pleased, but the last time I was here something happened that really soured me on the place. I get powder gel nails and since the pandemic I've been bringing my own powder for sanitary reasons (I'd rather use my own, than dip my fingers in a jar that dozens of other people have had their fingers in). Even though I brought my own powder, saving them money by not using their product, they charged me extra to do two colors. I mean ten fingers are ten fingers. There is literally no extra labor involved so why does it cost extra to do two colors and extra when I'm providing my own powder? We haven't tried the pedicure because we did find a great place for pedicure but we came for gel and her powder nails. Today would be my 3rd time here and only because my daughter liked her powder gel manicure. Our appointment was for 5:45pm we got here a few minutes early so we can soak. Anni didn't soak my nails she used the filing machine which destroys your own nail because it thins out your nail, I then changed my color to French., Jenny had to jump in for that, so anni prepped my daughters nail and destroyed her long nails. She was trying to keep busy while Jenny finished with me by filing and filing and filing her nails to the point of them being too short. I asked for pedi because Jenny was now going to start with my daughter and I didn't want to just wait around. They said no, because my appointment was for gel manicure and they had a customer who came in late, " what?" How is that my problem, I'm already here. There's no one waiting around, you have a technician available, what?! I'm sorry he says, it's not my loss, it's theirs. I can go to "house of nails" for a pedicure I just wanted to kill time. My manicure was rushed, my daughter started 30 to 45 minutes late but u can't accommodate?" I didn't over book, I didn't underestimate the time it would take for a mani or that the customer would go from plain color to French. I've been here two times, and the 2nd time brought this review down from a 4-5 star review to a 2. And I rarely do this but I have to tell you why. The first time I went, it was great!! Anna did an acrylic set for me, she was super sweet, very gentle with me, and didn't push me for other services. I brought my own nail polish for an event and she was happy to oblige. She did a great job. About 2 weeks later, I had to do a fill in. Had such a great experience last time, I thought I would come back, even though this place is somewhat out of my way. Wow. Totally different experience. I did not catch this nail tech's name (nor do I want to expose her out of respect) but she was kind of... rude? She kept pushing and pushing for other services, and I had to repeat just a fill in. No gel, nothing. Just a regular fill in. I could've sworn she said "So cheap" to her nail tech friend sitting next to her. Disappointing. She rushed through it completely, not talking to me (besides asking again if I wanted a pedicure, to which I said no) and the shape I want. When it was time to pay, I gave her my card. And then she said "You have cash to give me a tip, right?" Is... is that normal? To ask someone that? It kind of confirmed for me that she thought I was being cheap... I mean... I did, and what was originally going to be a big tip, went all the way down to a not-so-great tip. She wasn't happy about it obviously, and slapped on my nail polish and top coat (NO base coat) patted my shoulders in some form of massage, and left. My nails have bubbles, lines, and they are uneven. I'm just confused.
