Maybe for other services but not for powder gel! First time it was perfect. Second time they messed up and I had to go back and they blamed it on me being a perfectionist. Third time I was sent to another tech and it cracked the next day and chipped two days later. Did not go back because I was spoken down to when I went back to get them fixed the second time. This place is amazing! I started coming here a few months ago with little faith in my nails. My nails have never been able to keep polish on (always chipped, etc) and left me feeling like I couldn't even have a totally polished look. After coming here consistently not only do I have beautiful nails I get comments on regularly but a new confidence of self! Vivian, Anthony and the crew are so informative also. Vivian was able to identify on the first visit why my nails were having such a hard time and now my nails have never been longer or stronger. There is a true sense of community and kindness here to. It's not unusual to have generations of families come in who have been coming here for years. The friendly atmosphere makes you feel at home instantly- for someone who would get intimidated at nail shops this was game changing for me. It is with a heavy heart I update my review of the Nail Gallery one/two days later. Yes I waited an entire day to see if it was really that bad. See picture. I wanted a manicure but I got my nails painted (mind you very pretty) and my cuticles clipped (a bit). To an untrained eye It looked so fine when it was done, maybe there's something extra special in their oil that makes one forget they went for a mani and got a paint job instead. Fast forward one day, cuticles looked dry and hard even with all the baby oil and cuticle oil I've been using. Day two.....well see picture. I'm so very disappointed. There's a different way of putting powder gel and they're the only place around town that knows how to do it properly. They're also much safer for your nails compared to the regular UV gel. This place is a favorite amongst Valley Streamers for a reason and everyone's mom, sister, friend, cousin recommend this place to each other. I usually go to a different nail salon (although I use to go here a lot), but I didn't want to wait another week so I came here. The lady that did my nails didn't do a good job. I had nail extensions from the previous salon, but she didn't take out all of them so she just filed them, instead of completely removing the extensions. Second, she filed my nails square, without even asking me what shape (I hate square shaped nails), I'm not the one to complain so I didn't say anything. I have been going to the Nail Gallery for one year and this was the second time a technician messed my nails up. This has less to do with the business and more about making sure you don't get the technician who rushes through the manicure, or the one who says I know when they don't truly know. This is a lesson for me to only let the owner and the woman who controls the appointments to do it. He put 7 coats of gel polish on each nail. You know when you usually do gel the technician does your whole hand and then puts into the UV Light? He did each finger side by side to put it in the light so for example. Pinky to the left coat it (put it in the light) Pinky to the right coat it (put it in the light) Index finger coat (put in the light) So imagine my face when had to put my hand in the UV 14 times? I didn't want to be rude so I waited until finished the set and spoke to the owner. THE OWNER IS ABOUT HIS BUSINESS, so when you speak to him he is going to to tell you his opinion. I showed him my nails and asked him "You think this work was exceptional?" He looked at me and said no. I appreciate that. He offered for me to get my nails again free of charge because he knows I love the place but that technician needed a warning sign. I will update and change my ratings if they get my nails together. read more

I was there about 6 weeks ago and although my nails looked good, I received a fungal infection on one of my finger nails. I didn't know what was wrong at first since I've never had one before it just itched so bad then I saw these little bumps and it started to bleed so I went to my Dr who said it was a fungal infection that required antibiotics to get rid of. They do not use plastic on the tubs for pedicures which had me skeeving and they advertise SNS products but use something else to finish your nails. When I questioned my technician why the different product she spoke to the owner in her language then I was told by the owner (not my technician who spoke to me in English the entire time until now) that her SNS bottle broke so they used another product bottle but she said it's SNS, yet I saw the same brand bottle on all the other surrounding stations. Product fraud, a fungus infection and unsanitary conditions is keeping me away and should keep all of you away too!!! read more

I've tried many different nail salons and no other place compares. The entire staff is friendly, they me know by my name, I never feel rushed out, and I trust all of them to finesse my nails The SNS gel powder is a must! The results are amazing! My nails have become stronger and have grown longer in a short amount of time. Not to mention, the price is very reasonable, especially compared to most places that only offer gel. I went into Nail Gallery with one of my daughters to get a Mani/Pedi. We did not have an appointment and was told that we had to wait a bit. We did not wait long when they said one of us could get a pedi. I let my daughter go first and I waited around 10 minutes after to get my pedi. The owner/manager thanked me for being patient ( I was the one who was thankful:) Not too long, I noticed my daughter getting her French tips from Anthony as I was getting my regular manicure. My concern was that I wanted my daughter's French tips done right. The last time she got her French tips the nail salon across the street did a horrible job. But somehow, I knew a nail Gallery was different because they took their time and did not rush like the other place. The other place did her French tips while she was getting her pedi as well as they did for me! The other place did not even shape the tips around her fingers! I would give zero stars if I could this was by far the most unprofessional and disgusting nail salon I have ever been to in my life. I came in for a tip set With gel powder. The staff is disgustingly rude. The salon is filthy. when I asked the lady to redo my nails she became snarky and nasty and started talking shit to the other nail techs. I told her to just take them off my nails and I will go somewhere else as she was only five minutes in. she tried to rip off the acrylic tips with cuticle cutters. she cut my skin and ripped up my nailbeds. then she sent me out with my fingers still in foils soaking off the tips that she had put on incorrectly. this was literally the worst experience of any nail salon I have had ever. in my life! trash and extremely overpriced for nothing. every little thing is an extra five dollars. but most of all I couldn't get over how nasty the staff were. wow. read more

Thanks to the wonderful reviews on Yelp, I decided to walk in and try this place for the first time yesterday, and I have to say it was probably the best nail salon experience I've ever had in my entire life (THIS IS VERY DETAILED, SORRY IF ITS LONG). So I started hunting for a nail place closer to my place of business and Nail Gallery is only 15 mins away. Anyway, on to the review! I didn't make an appointment, just walked on in and was instantly greeted by the staff. First impression is that the place is beautiful. It's relaxing, everything looks new and up to date. I told them that I wanted a pedicure and gel mani. I decided on a lemon spa pedicure (which was great!). She also told me about the powder gel nails, which is supposed to be better for you than the regular gel that is cured under a UV light. It was only $5 more and I had money to blow and time to kill after a crazy day of work, so I said what the heck. Onto the experience... The experience was the best. Both ladies who did my pedicure and powder gel mani were great. I have absolutely no complaints. The owner, Anthony, is a sweetheart. He joked and told me not to mention him but I'm letting the people know lol! He was telling me about the policies and the wonders of the powder gel nails and I told him that he's sold me, I've become a new customer and I'll be back in two weeks. And the powder gel mani!! Amazing. I suggest all of you who regularly get gel manis (like me) should give it a try. Your nail time is cut in half! From the reviews, I read that Anthony & Vivian (the owners) were the best but I was willing to let anyone do my nails as long as I got them done. Luckily I got Anthony and he is wonderful. He's very cool and has a great sense of humor. I loved my nail set and he introduced me to the powder gel so I didn't have to put my hands under the UV light. The powder gels is healthier, looks better, and lasts longer. It was the third or fourth visit that Vivian did my nails and she is on the money too. The second visit neither Anthony or Vivian did my nails and I wasn't too pleased. I didn't complain, but I then knew that I wanted the owners on my nails like the reviews mentioned. I also tried the pedicure and it was amazing. I love how they keep it clean by using disposable files. It's so relaxing with the massage it comes with and the pedicure was still looking great after the 2 weeks. You can come in within two weeks of getting your gel manicure done and they will fix your issue for free! I just slide a lil tip and I'm good to go. Make sure you get your loyalty card signed so they know what date you last came. After a good amount of visits, Vivian offered me a box. The box is $6, lasts forever, and it contains a manicure set that will only be used for you. Just grab your tray when you come in, before your manicure starts. The best part about my experience here was the little massage you get while drying your nails. It was ok. Lady in first chair was abrupt when I walked in. I'm glad I had an appointment and was on time because I'm pretty sure I would not have been seen. Pedicure was subpar, I'm used to like an exfoliating gel applied to my feet when they scrape your heels. The technician did it for like 2 minutes and was done. Probably one of the best foot massages Ive ever had and another 10 min shoulder massage for free after the 45 min foot work. As for cleanliness I do see room for improvement. I have been to at least six in the area including Valley Stream, Garden City, Malverne and Lynbrook. Each time I got a pedicure with callus remover. I get a pedicure because I need it, not just to look pretty. This girl's feet are rough!
