Horrible place to get your nails done. I didn't say anything to the manicurist because she is old enough to be my grandmother. But I won't ever go here again. Immediately after she was done I had to go across the street to Nail Gallery. I didn't trust her to do my pedicure First they put on the gel polish without cleaning the cuticles, or anything. AFTER the gel manicure is done she started filing my nails on the side and chipped the polish. My cuticles were not cleaned at all. I've been infrequently visiting this nail salon since 2016 because I moved to Brooklyn. It was warm, welcoming and friendly service. They were never good with designs but simple mani-pedi was pretty solid in a pinch. They always greeted me by name and asked about my child. Very nice people. Unfortunately they are RUDE SCAMMERS AND DESERVE TO BE REPORTED TO THE STATE!!! Here's why: I asked for a green tea pedi... the pedicurist puts the basic blue additive to the water and continues the rest of the pedicure. The green tea comes with a "skin softening green tea soak" not blue additive. The pedicure lady did not speak English so I spoke to the owner. She said that the blue stuff was green tea... at this point I'm confused. In all 30+ years of my life I've know a spa pedicure to come with a little packet of whatever is added to the foot bath. So I'm thinking there is some kind of misunderstanding so I say hey this blue stuff isn't green tea. It is the basic blue additive for a regular pedi... THEY IGNORE ME! I say "well how can we fix this what can be done" in an attempt to salvage the pedicure because at this point we are right before the painting and paraffin stage. THEY IGNORE ME A SECOND TIME!!! At that point I say I will just leave since I'm being ignored and I left. They had full intentions on charging me the full $37 for the green tea spa pedicure without the main ingredient which is the skin softening. Also the callus remover makes your skin peel and makes it crusty. They are a true 3 star business and I only kept going because it's close to home and they we at one point kind. read more

I was a walk in before noon and got taken right away. (It got busy later) the pedicure was relaxing and removed the lines and calluses on my heels. My manicure was done while my feet were wrapped. Very happy with the results and the price was right read more

My nails were rushed for no reason, all clients were being attended to. I got a french tip gel mani (SNS) and pedi. My big toe french was crooked, the lines on my hands were bleeding out. I had product all over my fingers from them rushing. I also got the callous remover treatment, which they used the cheese grater style foot scrubber which from my understanding is not supposed to be used in salons. In the process of getting my nails done, the massage machine turned off. I kindly asked the woman doing my nails if she could turn it back on and she simply responded "yes, later" and never did. When trying to put on my shoes, the woman doing my pedicure went to put on my socks and shoes which I said no thank you, and she proceeded to do it anyway. I then attempted to readjust my leggings that got yanked around as to not get wet, which they began adjusting for me despite me saying no thank you. They were kind, but it seemed apparent that they were mainly focused on getting me in and out, as well as getting a good tip. Unfortunately, I wont be returning. read more

I walked in to this salon on a recommendation from a neighboring business, (my eyebrow threading is across the street) and I've been absolutely happy ever since. My nails were weak and the technician recommended the powder manicure and my nails grew long and beautiful when I followed her instructions! I was doing the wrong thing all along, but when I listened, I got the results I wanted. They take their time and customers are willing to wait when it's busy because all technicians are that good. If it's busy, it's worth the wait. Or they accommodate you based on your schedule. read more

NO STARS!!! Over the phone I made an appointment for 2pm this afternoon. After taking my husband and daughter for brunch, we were running early so I stopped in at 1pm to see if we could move up the appointment. I had left a voicemail earlier and didn't get a call back. The salon was crowded so I said we would be back at 2pm. One of the workers (the manager?) was rude and shouted. "No . Come back at 4." I said again that I have an appointment for 3 people at 2pm in case she thought I was a walk-in. We came back at exactly 2:00pm. We walked in and I said we're here for our 2 o'clock. The same worker looked at me and shouted rudely, "NO! I told you 4 o'clock." Again, I said I have a 2pm even though she never even bothered to ask for my name. After yelling at me, she turned back to her customer and totally ignored me. At that point, we left. Why should we spend our hard earned money on a business that treats us like trash? There are many nail salons in Valley Stream and this one doesn't deserve your hard earned dollars. We ended up going to Iconic Nails in Rockville Center and they treated us with common courtesy. I've been coming to this nail shop since April. In between I tried others searching for a BOSS nail tech as I'm too far away from my previous lady whom I've worked with for many years. This place so far has been good. I especially like Carmen's work but she was off today and Helen (the owner I think) did my nails. I'm pleased. In a sea of nail salons in Valley Stream this salon is average but uses quality products for lasting results. I only get plain manicures and pedicures which lasts longer than most. I'm updating a post nail experience review because this has been my second time coming here and although customer service is great, I've realized my nail polish would last less than 48 hours. I'm very careful when I get my nails done but compared to other salons, this place, my nail polish chips quick. The 2 times I've come different people attended me. I must say I did get off to a rough start but it was quickly resolved. I came here bcuz the salon I like to go to was crowded and I didn't want to wait. I wanted to wrap my nails with acrylic and that's usually $35 but when I asked the nail tech stated $50! I immediately asked her to stop but she than mentioned an alternative which was the SNS powder. The powder was something I wanted to try so I gave it a go and am really happy I did. It's perfect. I wish I could give 0-stars. Beware of this place!!! They use MMA (illegal acrylic that has many negative long-term effects). This is a picture of me trying to remove the acrylic with acetone and this was the end result. EMA acrylic (the stuff they're supposed to be using) does not leave your nails looking like this! Out of curiosity, I called the place and asked if they use MMA on nails, and the lady replied saying "what? Sorry, busy now" and hung up! I like this place a lot but only if the person doing your nails isn't the owner. When she doesn't want to take any customers because the other ladies are busy she sends the customer away even if there's still an hour before they close. If you ask for the owner for a complaint it's the owner who you're likely talking to and tells you ,"the owner isn't available". There's nothing like great customer service and people who take the services that they offer, seriously! I live about a mile away and have only ventured out and found one nail salon that i became quite comfortable with. Well, well, well! Great things happen with you venture out of your comfort zone. So I'm 6 months pregnant and it's been a while since I got a mani/pedi. I originally walked into the nail salon across from this one with a cup of tea. Before I could get a word out, I was told "no food, go outside and finish." I told the lady I wouldn't drink I'll just put it aside and still she said "no, no food, you leave" and so I did. Honestly, if I had gotten a good morning and more pleasant greeting and an explanation, it would've been much better. ANYWAY, IT ALL WORKED OUT BECAUSE THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AT NAILS AND NAILS WAS AWESOME! Everyone was all smiles and so polite. They did a great job with my nails and I got a honey paraffin pedicure. This review has been long overdue...I should have written this a long time ago, this place will make your nails feel extra special and your lower legs will feel energized from their great massage, not to mention the invigorating massage chairs you sit on while your bubbling away your feet through their foot spa :-) Good place to relieve stress and care for your nails. The owner was so nice, she encouraged me to pull up my leggings further up, so that they can massage my entire lower leg!!! Isn't that great, I'm loving her already lol! Decent nail spot for what they offer. However, they typically rush you out and even after making an appointment I had to wait over half an hour for my mani/pedi in which I had called for. They told me to come in 2 hours because they were busy. Why give me an appointment if they were going to make me wait almost an hour anyway. I have been getting manicures and pedicures for years, and was never picky about any one salon. I tried this salon because it's close to my home, and I never looked back! The staff is warm and welcoming, very sweet, polite, professional, and extremely talented. They always have an amazing selection of colors to choose from, and receive new Essie Collections very frequently. The price is very reasonable and they offer many different types of spa manicures/pedicures for a great bargain. I don't use the gel manicure, but I know that is a popular selection for women now and I believe it is $15. Don't quote me.
