I was in the area and decided to try them out since I needed a refill. I walked in, and it took about 5 minutes before I was greeted. Usually, that would've been enough for me to leave, but I hung around looking at colors. One lady was kind enough to tell me there were more in the back. Finally I sat down to do my nails with a gentleman. I told him what I wanted, and he said ok. He then stated to use his tools to remove the old polish. As he did that, he stopped to text frequently, so I asked another gentleman (who had been very genuine in his interaction with me but only does pedicures) if he did nails because the gentleman doing my nails seemed busy. He said something to the gentleman, and he continued to do my nails. The genuine man told me that I needed to tell the man doing my nails to do my nails lol. I know he meant well, but I didn't know that I needed to do that. Long story short, Im not happy with my nails. From far away they look ok, but such a poor job was done that I know I won't be back. read more

Worst experience I've had in a long time I waited an hour because the First Lady didn't know how to do the design I wanted then the second lady I believe her name was Kim was very unprofessional she didn't know how to do the style either but insisted that she was doing it correctly the style I wanted was originally $55 she wasn't able to do the style she did something way more simple but she still tried to charge me the same price when I bought to her attentions she tells me "no hunny I said $65" mind u she told me the price 3 times before she messed up I ended up paying $50 for something I didn't want highly upset about this I wouldn't recommend this place at all ! read more

I come here often and don't have no complaints. After Covid they reduced staff so it may be a bit busy depending on what time you show up ( then again, what nail salon isn't?). Staff are friendly. I usually get my nails, feet and eyebrows done. read more

Do not go to them! I repeat do not go to them!! I got my nails done by them for the first time because my original technician went out of town.. after a month & a half the nails were still on tight !! (Usually after a month I expect them to loosen up and pop off easily) but this wasn't loosening up at all... i tried using a metro card to get underneath but I promise you it wasn't working. So the next step i soaked them in Warm Acetone for nearly 2 hours and it barely wanted to soften. So i did some research and went to my nail technician and she told me THEY USED MMA INSTEAD OF ACRYLIC! Beware MMA is extremely dangerous to the nail bed and has a really hardddd time coming off. They need to be Shut down ! And nobody should ever go to them Ever Again! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would but since I can only leave one here is what they get! This business is very unprofessional and poorly run. Me and my boyfriend went to get our toes done and after paying with card the printer printed out a blank paper. I'm assuming that the worker's didn't know how to put the printer paper in properly. They told me to go to the ATM next door ( a random deli ATM) to give them $55 cash when the printer paper clearly printed out because I paid with my card . I told them I will not be paying an extra $55 and will wait to get the notification from my bank confirming the payment. Seconds later , I got a notification from the bank saying I was charged $67.76 from Victory Nails . They proceeded to say they are NOT called New Victory Nails and that I didn't pay at all when they CLEARLY know that I paid and on top of that they cheated me $12 . I had an email to prove that I was charged $67.76 instead of $55 and they yelled saying that I didn't pay and continued to speak in their dialect amongst themselves . I have been going to this nail salon for nearly 10 years and have been a loyal customer but this is the last straw . Kim and the other nail tech (male, not the owner) are very disrespectful and do not know how to approach customers at all. I will not be disrespected for $55. Very unprofessional and I will not be returning since they are unaware that they are called New Victory Nails located on Springfield Blvd across the street from Mcdonald's. read more

I'm not one to write bad reviews but this one deserves it. I've been here 3 times, and the previous two were great. I was helped by a guy once, and a female the other time. This third time was the worst. I was helped by a man named Simon, who while he was not texting and was completely focused on my nails, didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. First, usually when you get your nails done, they clean your nails and cut your cuticles and so on. This man grabbed my hands, took the cuticle cutter, cut all of my nails off, and started applying the fake nails. I did not clean my nails (which were very dirty) before i went because it is usually done when you go to get your nails done. Instead of using the usual motion to smooth out the acrylic on the nail by brushing it downwards, he placed the pile of acrylic on my nails and then patted it down unevenly onto my nails. When he went to the next hand, i looked at the first one and the acrylic was drooping to the side hanging off of my nails. He didn't ask what shape i wanted, and when cutting the nail i said "i little shorter" and he cut them very short without asking the second time. He filed off the droops of acrylic and left lines that are visible under the polish on the acrylic. He did not fill my whole nail with polish or acrylic, and everything looks very bad. I did not have time to stay to ask for them to be redone, so i took pictures and will go back to ask for a redo when i get back in town. I do not think i will be back here if the redo isn't better or if i am not given one. The second star i gave was for my previous two experiences that were satisfactory. read more

They are very lucky that I have to give one star. I waited an hour to be seen and all I wanted was a simple pedicure and manicure. The lady then put someone else to go before me when I clearly got there before the person. When I confronted the lady she told me I'm sorry 5 more minutes. Why should I have to wait when I got there before the person now being seen?!?!? What type of unprofessionalism is that. Then to wait another half an hour. That is just ridiculous. I'd rather pay more money knowing that I'm gonna be seen and gonna be received with courtesy and professionalism then this dump. Thumbs down 100% learn how to treat your customers!!!!!! read more

I'm a regular, or should I say was a regular here. Let me tell u the pros and cons and u can decide for urself. PROS:: 1.the tips r done well and are long lasting (which is rare for me because since I'm a nail biter and my nails are very short, most places acrylic don't last long before breaking. Here I can get 3/4 weeks out of a full set without a filling or break), 2.there isn't any language barrier. They are very Americanized and are familiar with all the nail trends in this urban neighborhood. So you will get what you ask for. 3. It is well ventilated and usually clean. CONS:: 1. they have a terrible polish selection. Cheap brands which have often been diluted with acetone. So if you're someone who gets manicures don't expect longevity, it will chip. (They have a better gel polish selection, my guess is because that's where the money's at), 2. Only a few of the techs in the salon are qualified to do nails, a large majority can only do pedicures. So often there is an insane wait for manicures/tips. Be prepared to wait HOURS. It was packed. (Which is ultimately my reason for leaving) 3. In addition to a long wait there isn't any type of system for arrival, so pay attention because they will service others who came after you before you. read more
