Absolutely THE BEST nail place in Long Island!! I have been going to Park Ave Nails for the past 7 years. The owners, Gina and Alex are so nice and accommodating. Joy (my nail tech) is such a pleasure and always leaves my nails looking fantastic. The other nail techs are also very friendly and do a great job too. I've tried gel manicures, dip powder and now UV gel. They also have a huge variety of colors and keep current with nail trends. Most recently I tried magnetic polish which I LOVED. They're spa pedicures are also amazing!! | look forward to how smooth my feet feel after their callous treatment. As a working mom, I look forward to my appointment every 2 weeks. read more

Not impressed...honestly I had high expectations given all the positive reviews, and believe me, I wanted to like this place...couple things: - I scheduled an appointment for 3:45pm, got serviced 25mins later - the owner is a bit harsh...asked me to remove my coat and hang it up - twice...what if I just wanted to leave it on? But I took it off... - parking is terrible so make sure you arrive 20mins before your appointment...thank goodness I did but it didn't matter anyway as I mentioned I sat for a while To sum it up, not all the hype...I've had way better service, way better mani/pedis...first and last time here...only came because the place I usually go to was booked up and I had to get the nails done today. I went here the last hour they closed last week, totally thought they closed at 7:30 but it was a 7pm close. They still took me for an SNS powder gel. Sunday I went with two of my best friends Melissa and Omar. I don't have a lot of experience with manicures and pedicures and I've only been to two places but all I know is that every time I've been to Park Ave Nails it's been awesome. The staff is super friendly. The massage chair alone might be worth the trip. On this trip I went with the coconut lime spa which includes a coconut and lime bath, micro exfoliate scrub, 10 minute foot massage with hot stones and a callus removal treatment and heal therapy. I know as men we tend to cringe at the idea of getting manicures and pedicures, but I definitely recommend going with your wife or girlfriend and making an experience of it. read more

Racism is alive and well. It's always unfortunate yet I'm not surprised. On multiple occasions, I've went here for a manicure or pedicure and have been told "no sorry very busy" even when the shop was empty, barely making eye contact or acknowledging me. Either there are new owners or even worse service from 2 years ago. Also, had a regular pedicure & eyebrow wax. There really is nothing much to wax of my eyebrows. They just need cleaning up. All I know is I paid Park Avenue prices. Like NYC Park Avenue prices. Between what I had done & tip I paid $120!!!! Never again. TERRIBLE!!!! Called & was told they'll replace nails, but they're very busy today. I have to come at 3 PM. I'm very busy also. If I could give zero stars I would. Walked in at 3:30 on a Tuesday, there were only two customers in there and they refused to do a mani/pedi on my 6 and 8 year old. I understand that children's prices are less than adult, but never in my life have I been turned away especially when they were so slow. Very bad business practice. read more

I am bummed that I only just discovered Park Avenue Nails a few months ago. I've been almost every week since my first visit to the salon. The service is outstanding! Yes, I said it. Outstanding! I know this seems impossible for a small, quick service salon but its true. Park Avenue nails offers SPA like treatment. Here are the top reasons you should go (not listed in any particular order): 1.) Huge selection of OPI and Essie nail colors. They always have the latest collections as well. 2.) They massage you while you are getting your nails down and when you are drying. 3.) As soon as you sit down for a service, they give you a heated blanket for your back while you are getting your nails done. 4.) They speak English. 5.) Their pricing is competitive/affordable. 6.) I used to go here when I was in high school and have made a point to come here whenever I've been in town since. After working/living in the city for years, I have yet to find a place like Park Ave Nails where I know I'm going to getting the quality that I'm paying for. I'm living in RVC/working in the city this year and couldn't be happier after months of the same amazing service I've come to expect. I went to this salon for my birthday to treat myself to a mani and a pedi. What a waste! They didn't even remove all the nail polish from my toes before painting over them, and you can see it! Terrible. Will never go back, I do a better job myself, and the way they spend them...waste. read more

Walked in an early evening after a trip to Starbucks to see if they were able to take off month long acrylics the correct way. I was seen immediately and they were taken off the right way! I didn't get my acrylics done there but they were gentle and only charged $5 for the takeoff (didn't even have to soak bc my original nail tech is a genius and take care of my natural nails underneath). The woman (Lisa I believe) was very impressed. I got a regular manicure on my natural nails and love the Essie grey color applied. Would definitely come back for a gel mani and a spa pedicure. The reason I have such loyalty is because of the exceptional service , and willingness to always go the extra mile with genuine desire to be of service. I've been getting my nails done for 35 years.... I've been traveling for work and needed to get my nails done while on the road.... this place did not disappoint! I was blown away by the service I received! Alyssa was the best... the pedicure with the callous remover and REAL foot massage was incredible.. best I've ever had. While I got my nails done after my pedi the owner came up and massaged my neck.. they placed a pillow in my lower back and added a heat pack! Talk about wowing a customer I was so relaxed... she ended my gel nails with a REAL hand massage. I highly recommend this to be your only place you go to get a pedi or nails done. read more

I just moved out to Long Island a few months ago from queens. I work around the corner from park ave nails and a lot of the girls I work with go there. So it started with just a pedicure, which was probably one of the best pedicures I ever had. And then I started doing my gel nails. Amazing service really. There's no other way to put it. They always have a smile on their face and they're super nice. The nail salon is actually spotless it's amazing. I can't imagine getting that kind of service and cleanliness at one place. Highly recommend this salon! I was in town for a wedding visiting from NC. I went to another salon just a few doors down since it was closer around 6p and they barely saw the photo and said they couldn't do it. I thought it was weird it wasn't anything extreme. Went down a few doors came upon this location and the ladies were all so sweet. They made sure it matched the photo even though I had short nails. Although I Love Fanny , My days with Park Ave Nails have ended . The owner was rude to me on several occasions. After asking him why was he continuously rude to me , as I am a loyal customer , he had various excuses for his behavior, but none seemed to be the truth. He only caters to his Caucasian customers . He refused to give me any early appointments , and when I asked him to see his appt book , they were all opened appts, he then asked me to please stay out of his business . After repeatedly ignoring his rude ways numerous times, I've decided to look for a place that will value my business , regardless of the color of my skin. I used to love park avenue nails. The reason why I started going is because of Blanca. Blanca is super sweet and she knows what she's doing. The last time i visited I got a uv gel filling and a pedicure. Blanca did my pedicure so I had no problem with that. Another lady did my uv gel filling and my nails are not even, and my nails are not shiny and two are my nails are very lumpy. I usually would recommend this place but I don't think I would be doing that anymore. read more

Love love love this location. My best friend moved to RVC a few years ago and every time I visit I make sure we get our nails done! This salon is so clean and the employees are wonderful! For my friends wedding we were able to book early appointments and bring champagne and snacks to help further enjoy the manicures and pedicures. I went again today, and despite only going a few times the owner remembered my name and where I lived, a true testament to the value of customer service here. I want to gather a group of people to protest this nail salon.....so I have been going to this nail salon for a while in Rockville center, I always felt a weird energy, so as of recent I went to do my nails sns manicure and days later my nails started cracking. The next time I returned to the nail salon I saw the same technician Judy her walking over to me and politely said can I have someone else do my nails please...it didn't last the last time you did it. She walked away and I never saw her again. However I sat down for about 15 minutes before said something to me. Another technician did my nails and I was satisfied. I called today to make an appointment for tomorrow when he asked me my name I said Rayonne he said "ohhhh none of the technicians want to service you". I replied my technician of choice Nicole was not there the last time, how can you make an assumption like that. Then he replied "the last time you were here you made Judy cry". Surprised by his response I asked, "so a customer isn't allowed to voice their dissatisfaction". He said i don't speak English I don't want to argue..I said i'm not arguing with you. Worst mani/pedi I've ever had!! Not only is there polish all over my toes and clumped up at the base of the nail, but the girl seemed frustrated the whole time. She put 3 coats of thick polish on the nails too so it looks like a kid tried painting my nails. Then the real fun began with the powder manicure. First off, there was only one person who supposedly did powder gel nails. So my friend who also wanted powder, had to go first while I was getting my toes done so we couldn't even sit together. Then when she got to me, it was like she was rushing. They literally must've mentioned the fact that they needed to leave about 20 times. Why make the appointment at 6 if you know you can't take your time to do a decent job? Now I have been getting powder for a long time and have been to several places. Some have been better than others, but this was terrible. Not only did it seem like she had never done powder nails before, but I had to ask her to use the power filer to buff the powder to make it smooth and attempted to get her to smooth out the bottom of the nail so you wouldn't see the clumped up powder around the edges. She didn't grasp this. She kept asking me where I usually go and if they usually used the machine. Then when she was doing the top coat she had one woman do one hand cause she was in such a rush. This woman put the top coat on so thick it wouldn't dry and powder gel top coat dries in a few mins. Needless to say, the polish got messed up and she had to do it again- about 7 times. She couldn't fix it for some reason and the top coat just kept pooling in the middle of my nail. The whole time she was frustrated and talking to the other employees (probably about me) and would constantly mention how they needed to leave. At the end of this whole ordeal, my nails are rough, look jagged at the bottom, there's crap all around the nail and you can see the top coat lines and powder marks. Worst $70 I have ever spent. To top it all off, had they done their job properly, I would have gotten out on time and would not have been caught in the torrential downpour that happened just as I was leaving. They did seem like nice people, and the shape of my nails was done well, but they basically were not good at their jobs and were very impatient. I pride myself on being as nice as possible to those providing a service for me, so I try not to complain, but something had to be said about how awful this all turned out. Don't make appointments after 5 at this place if you want to be treated well, but preferably just don't make appointments here. I don't believe they know what they are doing, but it's possible they just were having an off day and were in a rush and didn't care because they wanted to go home. Either way, I will definitely not be going back here (even to have them fix the nails because I do not trust them to even be able to handle that) and I will make sure that those I know don't go here either. P.S. no massage while getting my manicure either!!! read more

I paid a small fortune for a special manicure with a holographic effect. The manicurist seemed to be inexperienced as the owner ran the steps of the process to her as she worked on my nails. After I left I noticed what a poor job she had done: uneven shine, uneven shimmer, missing patches of the holograph effect. The next day the polish began to fade.
