Amy is the best, this is my go to for mani pedis, the wife comes here too religiously .

Their service sucks! What's the point of you booking an appointment when they don't respect it. Have you sitting for an hour to them try to pawn you off to someone else. Understand that when someone books an appointment it's because they have things to do! BEYOND RIDICULOUS! If I could give them zero stars I would! NEVER going back. read more

Stay Away! I booked an appointment 3 weeks prior because I was going away on vacation. My appointment was with Simon (the owner) for 5:30 PM Mind you, I have been here before with a similar experience, but I tried ONE more time after explaining the last visit "I cannot be here for over 3 hours" My pedicure was quick, not the best, but not the worst. As I sat there soaking off acrylic for one hour, I asked Simon multiple times "when are we going to start" His answer was always a "few minutes" Now it is after 7:00 PM, he has not even touched my nails and my blood pressure was on the rise. I ask again and again, and the same reply.. "few more minutes" I ended up walking out of there at 7:30 PM (2 hours and he did NOTHING) As an owner, it's horrible that you don't value someone's time. Simon, You should be ashamed of the way "YOU" treat customers!! What makes your time more valuable than mine? Friends, STEER CLEAR if you value your time. If you have 4-5 hours to do your nails this is the place to go! read more

Jenny Nails - Over an hour of soaking nails and WALKED OUT! - Nail Salons Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

I visited this salon on a whim. My daughter's and I need l needed to get a quick mani pedi. We were pleasantly surprised. I had a gel manicure done with regular pedicure. My technician was very neat and took her time. The prices were comparable with the area. It is a very unassuming little gem. We walked in and was serviced immediately. While she was not our technician, I observed Joanne doing a filling and I was very impressed. I will certainly return! read more

Best nail salon in valley stream! Not only are they very accommodating, they do their best to perfect your nails every time. I always leave with an even better shape than I imagined. My natural nails have grown so long doing dip Powder here, they are so strong and healthy! Obsessed with my coffin shape! Very kind and hard working as well. Best prices too! I've only done walk ins and was seated right away each time. Thank you Simon + staff! read more

horrible job. asked for French with powder and they couldnt do it. I asked 4 times to redo it. I left crying and had to go somewhere else to get them redone. I was in the store for 4 hours just to have to go somewhere else after read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! In all my years of getting my nails done, this is the WORST nail salon that I have ever been to. I got a pedicure which was done on under 10 minutes. The lady did not clean under my nails, she did not scrub my heels properly. When I asked to scrub my heels and went off in her language. I asked for the pumice and sat there and scrubbed my own feet. When I was done, she did not even lotion my feet. She couldn't even apply the polish properly. My girlfriend got a pedicure as well from another lady while I was getting mine. She was no better. She had polish on her cuticles and her feet were ashy. Oh, did I mention that the place is DIRTY STAY AWAY! !!!!!!! read more

Horrible customer service. Went to get a uv gel fill in and a pedi. Filed the color off first, then Pedi. After drying my feet I waited an hour to get my nails done wasn't complaining bc I walked in so I sat there and waited patiently. First simon was going to do my nails, but he had taken another customer, fine. So Amy did them, it was close to closing and she was rushing I said nothing about it let her do her thing in its entirety 4pm-7:30pm evening shift I did like I work there. Get home notice she didn't file the sides good on a few and it was rough along the edges I filed and buffed it out at home. After spending $80, Next day the gel starts coming off a nail that I didn't even touch, I go back and tell simon what happened he barely looked and said ok. I waited 20mins Amy had just finished w her customer so I asked if she could fix my nail real quick and he said no I had to wait an hour and better I just come back tomorrow. Umm why tf would you not say that from the beginning. Talking about they busy as if I'm not who wants to sit in a nail salon 2 days in a row. Why would someone coming in with an issue that just got their nails done a day ago have to wait an hour bc there are appointments. Fix my nail that your salon messed up! I will never come back here but shout out to the Latina girl who did my feet she was nice and did a good job. read more

I wanted to love this place because I read so many great reviews but I just can't quite say that I do love it... At all... I called before I came to see if there was a wait and I was told that I could come right over. I had to wait 15 mins before anyone paid attention to me. Finally... I was able to sit and soak off my set... Then left again until I got up 15 mins after my set was completely soaked off and had to ask if anyone was able to do my nails. I get it... Your busy... Check BUT... Check in too! Thanks! I sat with "Simon" and I was extremely excited because all of the reviews said he was amaaaazing. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and then had to proceed to instruct him every step of the way. I'm sorry but I'm no nail tech... I see a picture, I want that. I am, as a paying customer, expecting you to be able to know how to get those results or say, I'm sorry I just can't do that. Simon was pleasant and sensed that I was getting annoyed so he tried to crack a joke to keep the tension level down... It didn't help. This place is good if you need something basic and simple. Don't try to do anything out of the norm here. I also didn't love the inside decor. Seemed very run down and outdated. Made me question the pedicure station so I passed. Oh annnnd I spent 10 mins cleaning acrylic off of my fingers after I left. Good times. Not really. read more

The nail tech doesn't know what a cuticle is. I'm asking her to cut my cuticle and she doesn't know what I'm talking about.

Nice place, parking right in the back for shoppers. Will visit again. I got a gel manicure & chose the color palette that was on the display. Gave 4/5 stars because they did not have rhinestones. read more

This place has far more positives than negatives. The decor is outdated and it doesn't quite feel like a spa-like place... The staff is friendly, but not very social if that makes any sense. However, the prices were good. $19 for a mani pedi on a Saturday, and the lady did a good job. The others staff members were nice too... And still a comfortable environment despite the decor. Fast service too. Good enough experience to return. read more

Love this nail salon! It's my go to salon. I usually call ahead of time to check if they're busy or make an appointment so that I'm not waiting around if they are busy. The staff and owner are very friendly and attend to you constantly from the second you walk in to when you leave. Normally I get gel nails and they have many colors to choose from. The prices are extremely affordable and they don't charge as much as the surrounding nail salons. I've also brought in pictures of designs and was very happy with the results. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area. read more

This is by far the best nail salon around! I have been going here for over 10 years and Simon and Joann are the absolute best at what they do (see my photo above, it's the red, pink and white nails!) I have gotten everything done here but I've been getting the permanent colored acrylic done for the past few years! It lasts about six weeks and there is never any chipping because there is no paint involved....any design you can think of they can do! I haven't seen any other nail salons do this I'm thinking because it is very time consuming and requires a lot of skill! I moved out of valley stream about six months ago and I still make the trip here because no one is anywhere near as good! I would highly recommend visiting Simon and Joann at jenny nails! You will not be disappointed (call ahead and make an appointment or be prepared to wait!) read more

Jenny Nails - Amazing colored acrylic nails done by Simon! Best nail place around! - Nail Salons Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

Came here for the first time in a long time with my sister. My sister was taken right away, but i had a very long wait to be started. But I'm a patient person so it wasnt the worst FOR ME. Finally started the pedicure, and it was very soothing, a bit longer than usual but toes taken care of. On to the nails, I got coffin shaped acrylic ombre, with the male tech. And I have to say, I have never had better shaping!!!! As well as my sister, with a different tech, her shaping was amazing. Both of our nails came out sooo perfect. So definitely made up for the wait! read more

I went to this salon for years. Joanne and Simon did a great job. The wait time could be long but I dealt with it. The problem was that they began to get dirty. I was getting a pedicure one day and I noticed the tray they had the instruments in was rusty, It was so bad you could wipe it off with a napkin. When I showed Simon he said "oh, no problem, I buy new one." He did not remove it or go to check the others. I had my doubts for awhile, but that was the last straw. read more

I went to Jenny for pedicure as I have been doing for many years.. Today I go and I wait my turn patiently for an hour no problem. When the next avaliable manicurist is ready she calls for a client who came in after me. Mind you while the manucurist is finishing up the previous client, this client walks over to her and whispered something to her and she brings her a snapple. When I ask the manager at the time if the client who went ahead of me has an appoitment, she asks the manicurist something in their language, then turns to me and says she was here and came back which I clearly knew was a lie. Needless to say I left and will not come back to Jenny again. They lost out on three customers today as my sister and mother will not be back as well. Sad because they were a favorite. Too many other nail salons around to put up with that. read more

Mom and I have been coming here for years! I called ahead for a manicure and pedicure on a friday evening anticipating that it is busy today. I check in with Simon and he tells me to have a seat. While im waiting a group of 8 women come in together stating that they called ahead. Because they are so many two of them sit in the pedicure chairs without being told to do so! When one of the manicurist becomes available she goes to one of the women in the chair. I tell Simon and he apologizes stating that i will be next. Then the next available manicurist doesnt call me but proceeds to start on the second woman sitting in the pedicure chair. And Simon sees this. I will be taking my buisness elsewhere. Its one thing for customers to be rude but management should be in charge. read more

Guys be aware! I did my nails on March 7th at Jenny Nails in Valley stream . I got there around 4 pm I specifically told the old man that I needed a filling with a French manicure design. I paid then I went home that same day I got home didn't pay much attention to my nails, my nails turned yellow, I called that Tuesday they were closed. I went back that Wednesday on March 9th, I told the guy that the color changed if he could fix my nails and change the colour he was very rude and started screaming and ask me to pay $20.00 to change the colour. I agreed to have the color changed because I have a trip that week and I didn't have much time to run around. Then as I sat down he wanted to charge me another $10.00 for the French when in fact his colours are trash. so I asked him how long will it take, he said to me one hour or more because he said he is slow man. This place is trashy and the owner of this place has no respect for his customers. Please stay away from this place. I am mad because I ended up spending so much money on my nails to find someone to fix and change the polish. read more

I'm very surprised this place dosent have more reviews with the amount of people that go here! I absolutely love love love it here. I live in queens so this is about a 20 min drive for me which is sometimes out of the way but I refuse to go to any other salon than here! Simon and Joanne are excellent at what they do. I've never seen someone who takes such care and precision in doing nails. Simon takes his time no matter how busy it is and I'm always completly happy with the outcome. Prices are fare. These nail salons In queens by me are horrible. They're all about rush rush rush and cut corners. They always hurt me with the machine because they're so vigorous! But Simon takes such care and I really always feel relaxed when I get my nails done here. Highly recommend, will never ever go anywhere else!!quick tip, make sure u set aside sufficient time, because they take their time in perfecting their job, you may be here for minimum of an hour but it's so relaxing and worth it, and it's best to call ahead to make an appointment read more

Jenny Nails - Gorgeous pink and glitter white acrylic permanent French nails. Done by Simon! - Nail Salons Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

TERRIBLE MANI PEDI. I came here two days ago because I go to a gym near by. The service was cool, because they were nice - well the lady with the short hair who happened to be about the only person who spoke English but she was very nice about everything. The lady who actually DID my nail though was terrible. I'm not talking about her attitude but just the way she did my nails. Everything was super careless and rushed, during my pedicure she didn't even take the time to scrub the bottom of my feet or massage it. Of course massages aren't supposed to be lengthy when you're getting just a basic pedicure, but compared to the women receiving basic pedicures around me .. My pedicure was definitely the worst. After that, during my manicure she didn't even take the time to remove the cuticles! I actually had to tell her to do so, to which she proceeded to laugh and quickly do them. Not even taking the time to remove them all. It was so bad, my nail polish started chipping the next day. I'm honestly so disappointed because I feel like she was rushing with me because another customer was waiting for her to do his spa pedicure. Spa pedicures are way more expensive so maybe that is why she rushed with me and quickly went to him, but it was super unprofessional. If I was not in a good mood, I would've definitely complained or made a big deal. I seriously will not be back, you just don't treat customers like that. I understand that if prices are cheap, most likely the results will match, but as a business, the service they provide should be awesome nonetheless. The service is what reflects their name after all! The reason why I had even went to do my nails there were because of my cuticles! The woman by the way, had bangs, was Asian and curled her hair. She also wore a lot of mascara, so if you know which lady I'm talking about - BEWARE! read more

I found this nail salon through yelp and read the reviews so I decided to try it....I am highly pissed off at the way my nails came out and when I told the guy that my nails were too thick he raised his voice and said that he was not done yet only to finish and I still had to repeat myself....to top it off he used the old acrylic powder that does not look like your natural nails it's the white powder that looks creamy.....I will never step foot in this place again....on to the next. read more

I've been coming here for the past year or so, and they have gotten exponentially worse. Most recently, they've raised their prices and worsened service. I got a manicure here a few days ago and the young lady who did my nails did not put my hands in water! She pushed back and clipped my cuticles completely dry. In addition, she also got up twice in the middle of my service - once to eat and another time to finish another customer's pedicure. I've already began looking for a new place to get my nails done, which is really a shame because they're pretty close to my house. read more

I come here all the time just to get a gel manicure because of the price. It is $22 for a gel manicure! However, when I am getting a pedicure as well, I go to a much better salon because I do not want a cheap service done on my toes. Jenny's has a massive bottle of top coat that they refill in the Essie bottles, so be aware that they use cheap top coat, not actually "Essie" top coats. Not only that, but I got my nails done yesterday, and the OWNER Simon did them. He DID NOT cut my cuticles nor push them back. He went straight to applying gel. When he was finished with the gel, I looked down at my hands. My cuticles and hands were dusty, and dry because I had them soaking in acetone. HE DID NOT put a hot towel, cuticle oil or even lotion on my hands, but proceeded to tell me the price so I can pay and leave. I asked him if he stopped doing lotion and hot towels...he then got up and finally put some cuticle oil and a hot towel. I went here because it was CHEAP and neat, but they're cutting corners and it truly is "you get what you pay for". When it comes to nails, bite the bullet and go somewhere pricier instead of going somewhere where they even half ass their work for their REGULAR customers. He lost a customer for life especially since I went 3x a month. Shame on him for being the owner and producing mediocre service. read more

This place might not be fancy but they do a really good job for a good price. I used to go to gallery nail and spa down the block but after going here I felt like the service was a little better. Salon is a little outdated, and could use more color gel options. I was happy with my acrylic fill in and color gel on top until it came time to pay. The difference was only 4 dollars which is no big deal, but they charge you to take off your polish and cut your nails half a inch shorter. When I asked why it was more I was given attitude and yelled at that it's more to take off polish and to cut your nails. I won't be back read more
