Heard about this place just up the street from us. Gave it a try for take out and was very pleased. The food and service are impeccable. Lucky Bamboo has the best Hot and Sour soup I've ever had. After discovering the restaurant when searching for a new place to try for our New Year's Eve Chinese food tradition, I've gone back several times and tried several dishes. The thing that impresses me the most is how fresh and generous the vegetables are. There is no greasy sauce drowning out the flavors whether you prefer seafood, chicken or red meat. And they'll give you extra hot sauce so you can adjust the spicy dishes to your taste. While Happy Family and Kung Pao are perpetual favorites at my house, I've honestly enjoyed everything I've tried. The staff is helpful and friendly. After only a couple of takeout orders during quarantine, they knew me by name. They've been obsessively diligent about disinfecting everything. I found lucky bamboo on yelp, I couldn't believe they worth 5 stars, but now I give them 5 stars, because they give me great service, Alice is really nice to me, the shrimp fried rice is perfect, I went there during their lunch time but they cook still fast and tasty. I finally found a great Chinese Food restaurant in Dallas. I relocated from the East Coast where there is a good amount of good Chinese restaurants. Since moving to Dallas, I have tried a few Chinese restaurants, but the food was not very good. My search is over because this place is the real deal. We live 5mins away and I don't know why it took us so long to try Lucky Bamboo but so glad we finally did last night. We ordered a lot of different dishes but the standouts were the salt and pepper prawns, Singapore noodles and Kung pao shrimp. Kids also loved their egg drop soup. All were well seasoned. Good sized shrimp & plenty of them. Good service. Recommend the h & s soup, shrimp w/lobster sauce & Kung pow shrimp. Still looking for that big deep fried cabbagey egg roll we had back eat.Dont like the chicken filled egg rolls. They had beef filled egg rolls, and next time I'll try them. Had lunch at the Lucky Bamboo. The food was really, really good. The service was adequate, however, as it was pretty apparent that the waitress was quite new to the field. As a former waiter, I am a bit touchy about the little things so maybe I need to just learn to relax. We had the sesame chicken and the sweet and sour pork and the coconut shrimp appetizer. Everything was as good as it gets. It will be my new go to Chinese restaurant in Dallas. Royal China is too expensive and the portions have gotten ridiculously small over the years.
