Pulled pork wrap with beans.
Shaylee C.

We've been many times to Lucille's. Our family favorites are the Wilson baked beans, pulled pork, burgers, brisket, and cornbread. Many sauces are available to choose from and the staff has always been friendly.

Sides were great and the portions were amazing. Was disappointed with the availability of only one server, but food came out fast. We enjoyed trying all the different BBQ sauces and I think my favorites were the vinegar and the raspberry sauces. Would have preferred the burnt ends but they were out. Would come back for the Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts - so good.

Texas Two-Step taco - brisket and jalepeno sausage with cilantro and onion

I was in Fort Wayne for work and as I searched for BBQ, I found Lucille's. I am a sauce-aholic and when I saw a sauce bar, Lucille's became must try. I also noticed Lucille's brewed their own sweet tea. And Lucille's put the SWEET in Sweet Tea, just like it should be. None of this Midwest very lightly sweetened barely unsweet sweet tea. Lucille's sweet tea made this Bama Boy jump for joy. One thing I didn't like when I saw Lucille's menu was $37 for a 2 meat combo. I was like no way...there has to be a work around. My work around was to order a pulled pork plate and then the Texas Two-Step taco. The Texas Two Step taco came with brisket and jalepeno sausage. It was a brilliant idea for a much cheaper cost than a meat combo plate. The pulled pork and brisket was fantastic but the jalepeno sausage really stood out to me. This might be the best sausage I've had. The pulled pork and brisket is elite and the sausage is in the best of all time category. For my sides, I picked the mac and cheese and beans. Both were phenomenal choices. The mac and cheese was creamy and made with possibly monterrey jack and smoked poblanos. The beans were spicy, tomatoey, thick, and had pieces of brisket in it. The waitress said they were famous and I know why now. There are several sauces. Here is a quick rundown - house (mild sweet tomato base), spicy (house but spicy), Texas (bold and seemed to have a cinnamon taste), mustard, and sweet and spicy (conglomeration and the hottest of all the sauces). My two favorites were the mustard and the sweet and spicy. The sweet and spicy had so much going on and I think Chipotle Tabasco was one of the ingredients. But it turned out being the one I couldn't get enough of. Lucille's is deserving of a 5-star. It is the closest to Texas BBQ I've found in the Midwest. It is not for everyone because it seems like everything is spicy here. It was all great but I loved the sweet tea and sausage the most.

Combo of 4 meats - sausage, brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork

Finger licking, delicious bbq food...so good you want to slap yo mama. JK...respect yo mom. Good sized portions. This is a belly bomber! Lots of bbq sauces to choose from. Service was exceptional. Ambiance was laid back/welcoming. For anyone from the West Coast, this spot is not like that Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ chain. This is family owned and 100x better. MY FAVES: beef brisket, burnt ends, grilled chicken wings, cheddar jalapeño sausage pieces, and mashed potatoes. Brisket was smoked, well seasoned and tender. Burnt ends were smoked to perfection and crispy. Chicken wings had a beautiful grilled char and seasoned well. Cheddar jalapeño sausage pieces were so tender and flavorful. Mashed potatoes were garlic-y and well seasoned. Pulled pork, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts and corn bread were ok. PROS: bbq sauce bar (try them all!), generous portions, and can pay your bill via QR code on the receipt. CONS: N/A

Husband wanted to come here tonight. The service was short n pleasant. Our server left as soon as she dropped the order off. I had the 2 tacos with brisket, avocado, cilantro n smoky sour cream. Uuuh I had to ask for jalapeno ranch to pour on these BLAND $4 apiece tacos. Yes, $4 apiece?!! I had a cream corn side and broccoli salad. EACH SIDE is $5 !!!! That corn was tasty, broccoli salad was just okay. Please cut that stuff up. It's hard to cut with a plastic fork. Husband liked his burnt ends.He liked the corn n mashed potatoes. Lucky him. For the price and size of meat servings was disappointing. They no longer have french fries. Booooo. Lol The carryout was brisk. The place was clean . Service from the other woman was polite. Would we go back? Well I may try something else again cause my dinner was kinda a flop. He ate all of his sooo. You all enjoy.

Came for lunch today and I will forever shout this place's name from the rooftops. Hands down the BEST BBQ in the area. Maybe even the midwest. Easily competes with those down south. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants. On this specific visit I got a bowl with brisket, beans, and mac n cheese. All bowls also come with corn bread, bbq sauce, and coleslaw. Everything is always so fresh and so good. Unfortunately, they were out of 2 of the options I originally wanted in my bowl, but they gave me 2 additional sides on top of everything in my bowl for free to make up for it. You cannot go wrong with anything you order here. All of the sauces are also phenomenal. Service here is so great. Restaurant is clean and authentic. This is a great establishment that is well run. They are huge supporters of the community and also huge supporters of first responders. They even offer a discount! This is a must visit if you haven't been before.

A pint of baked beans for $17 not a stitch of meat in it, usually has pork & sausage NOTHING...I was pissed and will NEVER go there again.
Lynn J.

Baked beans had no Meat in it at all for $17 I was highly disappointed and won't be returning, usually has pork & sausage. $17 for this I wouldn't recommend not worth it...I was livid

Full slab of ribs

**FORT WAYNE: BEST BBQ** I think I found a new BBQ place that overtakes Shigs in Pits as the best BBQ ribs in Fort Wayne. I have always been a fan of the other BBQ restaurant because of the BBQ sauces and smoky flavors, however, I have found that Shigs has been a bit on the dry side lately. Then during the Covid pandemic, Lucille's had a special on a full slab of ribs. I was thinking that I needed to get two in order to feed the family, but WOAH was I surprised how large a slab of ribs was. The BBQ sauce they use to marinate it is too hard to describe in words. It is so flavorful and clearly has bits of spices still stuck on it. The meat itself is juice and the smoke rings are perfect. Top it off, they have even more BBQ sauce than Shigs. My favorite was the blueberry BBQ sauce. It was finger linking good. It was so good that I went back 3 times that week.

The facility is very clean, orderly and attractive. The menu is fairly large but perhaps difficult to understand since it is posted on the wall. Cost is fair and moderate. Here is a recap of our food choices: -Wings: predominant smokey flavor, fried and dipped in one of 8 sauces. The wing was nicely cooked - no pink insides. The skin of the wing was a bit cripsier than i would prefer. The Alabama White sauce is mayo based, slightly sweet with not much seasoning or spice. It made the wings nicely moist. The teriyaki sauce is bold, thicker and has a slight back end kick to them. -Cole Slaw: nice fresh and crisp larger slaw pieces, thin mayo base, sligtly sweet but a bit watery -Macaroni salad: thin mayo base that actually came off also a little watery, elbow noodles were cooked perfectly, side veggies had a nice crunch to them, sauce was mildly sweet -Chicken tenders: moist and tender, no real Smokey taste detected, seemed to come off a little dry and tough -Corn "spoon" bread: mild corn taste, bread was moist and sweet, nice blend of corn bread and corn casserole -Tomato & Cucumber salad: very fresh and tasty. Cool veggie and vinegar tastes

Mission can be found on west Coliseum Blvd just west of Olive Garden. It's a little tricky to find drive to get into the large parking lot. There is lots of parking as this large store which accommodates many customers. Seating for large parties together may be difficult here. As you enter you make it to the cash register where you place and pick up your order. The menu is posted on a large board above the front counter. Mission has a large selection (see picture) of different meats and sides. Most items are ala carte unless you get a combo meal. I would suggest that their prices are comparable to those at other local BBQ places. Every entree comes with freshly baked corn bread. The decent size piece is moist and has a slightly sweet flavor. The luke warm bread is more cake like than a traditional corn meal taste. A pat of pre-packaged butter is also provided. This makes a nice complement to the coming meat. Mission provides six different BBQ sauces at the table (see pictures). They also provide vinegar and a more mustard based sauce. I tried three of these sauces. All had a nice flavor for you to consider. Here is a brief description of the different food items we had: -Smoked Chicken: very moist and tender, so tender that the meat literally fell off the bones; skin was nicely coated with a mild BBQ rub - only a slight amount of salt & spicy aftertaste; nice mild Smokey flavoring -Smoked Turkey: also very moist and tender; slight Smokey flavors -French Fries: nice thinly cut fry; coated with a heavy-salty BBQ rub; nicely crispy without being oily; definite bold BBQ rub flavoring -Baked Beans: much like you would expect, moderate sized bean bathed in a smooth BBQ sauce; BBQ sauce is slightly sweet with a mild BBQ taste - no after spice kick; small pieces of brisket added for extra enjoyment; very good side! -Cole Slaw: lite mayo base; two different cabbages plus carrot pieces; sesame seeds added to give it a nice mild-mayo taste Overall...Mission does a nice job of providing freshly made BBQ. The team was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and spacious. This is a challenge for a self seating area that has lots of customers. Here, you felt like you could relax, take your time and pace yourself.

ACME by Full Cirlce - definitely a destination for smoked wings!…read more This was my first trip to Acme for wings. I was VERY pleased with the large-jumbo smoked and then grilled wings! I have been here for Legalize Marinara pizza which was also excellent!! The team here is always friendly, welcoming and hustles to serve! We started with some fried pickles and Mac & cheese bits. These seemed like a must try and good value on the 3-6pm Monday through Friday happy hour menu. The fried pickles are a dill pickle spear with a moderate amount of breading. The spear has a nice tart dill taste without an after taste bite. It remained fairly crisp after being fried. The breading was fairly plain to taste. It was soft and only slightly oily. It comes with a cup of pretty standard ranch dressing. I liked the spear and would order these again. The Mac & cheese bits were very small. The inside has a couple of elbow noodles bathed in a mild cheese sauce - I thought they would be much bigger. The noodles were very soft and somewhat mushy. The cheese sauce has a standard creamy American cheese flavor that covered the noodles well. The breading was moderately thick, soft and plain to taste like what was on the fried pickles. I wouldn't order these again. Acme's wing offering can be found under the appetizer section as 8 wings for $14. The broad selection of homemade sauces can be found several menu pages later. We went on a Thursday night at 6pm. On this night they had $1 wings. Normal nights it's an additional $1.75 per wing beyond the initial 8 wing offering. This is pretty pricy for the average wing place. However, these wings were large to jumbo sized, smoked and then grilled. I found good value in the price of these large-smoked wings. The wings were smoked to a point where you pick up a pronounced Smokey flavor. The meat was moist and tender. They were nicely cooked to a white color with a tinge of pink at times. The wing was then grilled so that there was evidence of charred tips and skin parts. The smoked and grill proceses made for a delious wing. It appears that Acme has about 19 homemade sauces. I chose the blueberry-cherry and spicy garlic Parmesan. Other members of my group had various BBQ flavors with different degrees of heat. They said that they really liked their choices. I look forward to coming back to try more flavors. In general...I would say that Acme designs their flavors to have a "hint" of the intended flavor designed to not over power the smoked meat flavor. That's what they accomplished. The blueberry-cherry was thicker in consistency like you would expect. It was not "jelly" like in taste, sugar or sliminess. The sauce grabbed ahold of the wing nicely. You picked up hints of blueberry and cherry in the blend. Neither dominated the taste and there was no spicy kick here. Nice non-BBQ taste! The spicy garlic Parmesan sauce was also thick and stuck to the wing nicely. I didn't pick up any spicy flavor or after kick. The sauce seemed like it was poured on the wing pretty heavy. It was fairly light on garlic and cheese flavors with perhaps a more buttery-oil taste. Also a nice taste but not near as bold in flavor as most other places. Overall, I really liked their wings. The smoked and grilled flavors were excellent. The blueberry and garlic Parmesan sauces really accented the wings well. I would encourage you to give Acme a try for wings!

There were maybe 3 pieces of pork, had there been some to taste, I feel like this sandwich would be killer. My husband tried the Muffaletta, it would have been great had there been olive salad on it. The three bites that had olive salad were amazing. Seriously for the price, fix this! I would have paid double for some meat on there. I still would recommend everyday but make it as good as it sounds. Disappointed, would still go back
