Came here to hang out and read a book while enjoying a couple of awesome drinks from their creative menu. I started out with my favorite, the iced cream Americano, a delectable balance of smooth Americano coffee with the sweetest cream floater ever - if you aren't a fan of sweet drinks, this one may not be your cup of tea....er, coffee. For my second round I opted for their popular Black Island iced latte, a charcoal infused iced latte with coconut and pandan flavors. I must admit, I was skeptical of what the charcoal black floater would taste like, and I still don't really know, but I loved the drink. It had a rich flavor that I have never had before, very tropical-y thanks to the coconut and pandan. I would most certainly order it again, so if you are tempted by the Insta-worthy charcoal topper drinks, take the leap and order, you won't be disappointed. Parking is plentiful since this location is in a strip center, just be mindful that some spots are reserved at certain times for different stores. The inside of the space is nice but pretty small, so not ideal for groups larger than 2-4 people. read more

Cute place, excellent service, with lots of choices to satisfy your caffeine needs. The Tea Latte was ok, and Strawberry Ice Tea refreshing. We shared an almond croissant. Flaky on the outside, soft on the inside and the almond filling flavorful. Next time I'll have to be more adventurous, skip on the tea latte and go for the Island or Spanish Latte. read more

I stopped in this morning, looking for an alternative to Starbucks, and I am so glad I did! This place was so great. Easy parking either on the street outside, or in the garage on level 1. The people were friendly, and plenty of space inside to sit or take your cup of Joe to go! They also had coconut milk as a dairy alternative, which is so hard to find. People usually have oat or soy, but coconut is more rare! And as an added bonus they had tacos from Tacos A Go Go! Love that place, nice to find they have them so close to home, and the Potato ones! Every time we go by this place or even within a 10 mile radius, the wife makes me stop and get their mocha, apparently the best she has ever had. This is a staple in our diet now no matter what chores we are out doing. Parking is limited. Service is nice. Seems like people chill and work in there with their laptops. The island latte is one of the most unique lattes I've ever had, and I highly recommend it. It has coconut and pandan flavoring, and definitely has an island vibe to it. I also tried the Irish cream, and it's good, but I would recommend getting the island latte over that one. This is a small place with a couple outdoor tables for two, and small tables indoors. It's definitely a little more on the crowded side if you're looking for a place to have a private conversation instead of taking your drink to-go. read more

Really like this shop for (1) studying and (2) their signature Island Latte with pandan! Easy parking in the lot, in the same plaza as 7 Leaves. They have a good amount of seating (stool seating as well as some tables), though it can get busy through weekend afternoons. I'm from California, and though we have 7 Leaves with Asian flavors there, the Island Latte here at Luce is really a game changer for me. Something about the pandan just makes the latte 10x better. Kind of tastes like a creamy pistachio-vanilla, though pandan is actually an herb they use in Asian desserts. I recommend requesting it to be less sweet! Hoping someone brings this to CA! read more

What an unexpected gem of a coffee shop in the complex. The drinks are meticulously made. Looks like the espresso is weighed before they make the drinks. I recommend trying the Luce signature lattes, esp the creamericano. I prefer my drinks to be less sweet, so I do ask for half sweet. Earl Grey latte - great tea flavor. This does not come with espresso, I was told to add one shot because two might be too overpowering. read more

I saw this place recommended for work/study and I was skeptical upon arriving because it looked so small and cramped. It's really not, there's somehow plenty of space and I chose a comfy, cozy little couch in the back by myself to do some work. It's bright and clean inside and I saw the employees coming around and cleaning a lot which I always appreciate. It's also conveniently located right off of 59 in the Greenway area, really easy to get to from anywhere. The barista was super nice and asked me questions to find a good drink for me. I ended up getting the Spanish Latte with oat milk which was strong and delicious. The music here also is simply outstanding, every song was a banger. I heard The Smiths, Frank Ocean and a dramatic, beautiful cover of "Gary Come Home" from SpongeBob. Really legendary playlist. I'll definitely be coming back read more

I've had both their dirty chai latte and iced matcha and both are fantastic. Their chai is wonderfully flavored and their matcha is sweet (so beware if you don't like sweet matcha but I love it). They have very limited seating though and what seating they do have isn't the best, though they are doing what they can with such limited space. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee spots in Houston! I used to study here a lot when I was in dental school. It's a relatively small place but if you get lucky and can get a spot, it's perfect because it's pretty nice and quiet. There's also outlets too. Otherwise, it's also a great place to pick up some quick to-go coffee. My favorite go-to order here is the iced creamericano with half sugar. It still has just the perfect amount of sweetness that's not too overwhelming. It also looks very aesthetic too. Their iced matcha lattes here are also great! Honestly 10/10 for both of these drinks. I have had this little gem saved in my collections list for some time now. I finally had the opportunity to visit Luce Ave. There wasn't anything special about the decoration. It was pretty interesting to know that this was the only location in America. They have many other locations spread out throughout the world. I ordered the island Latte.. If you are up for a creamier latte then this is the perfect one for you. I really enjoyed this iced and I don't think I would like the island latte hot. They make this latte with coconut milk which makes this latte creamy but not overpowering where it may upset your stomach. Also giving it that"latte" vibe. We filled up on great Thai food and needed some caffeine, right next to the Thai Cottage is a Luce Coffee shop. This place is hard to find a parking spot so plan accordingly. The frozen blended coffee drink wifey got was done very well and I got to sample it from time to time. Not sure what I was expecting, but receiving the tiniest coffee I've ever seen was not what I anticipated when visiting here lol. Came here with a friend on a late Sunday afternoon. The cashier was friendly and allowed us to peruse the chalkboard menu. Their menu is pretty vast for a locally owned coffee shop, ranging from teas, coffees, and specialty drinks. Prices were from $3-6. I got an iced flat white b/c I'm not a fan of super sweet coffees while my friend got the Creamericano. I drink flat whites all the time so I thought I knew what to expect. Price was $3.50 so it seemed fair. Out came the smallest coffee I've ever seen! It fit in the size of my palm. Keep in mind my hands are also super small. I was stunned this was $3.50. The taste was incredibly watered down despite none of the ice melting yet. It also tasted incredibly burnt instead of the rich, smooth taste of a typical flat white. My friend enjoyed her Creamericano so all hope was not lost. The entire time, though, I just could not get over how small my portion was for the price. The ambience of the shop itself was pretty cozy, with a few small tables and a bar to work at. Restrooms were clean and service was personable. The entire experience left me not wanting to come back. I drove an hour here with anticipation. Perhaps in the next life I would try a different drink, but from today alone, I would not return nor recommend. read more

This place tends to get crowded really quickly, but it makes sense because they have solid coffee and tasty snacks. My favorite thing here is their CREAMY COLD BREW! It comes already made/bottled in their glass bottles in their refrigerated counter next to the register. This cold brew is literally perfect and is ready to drink as soon as you open it. I HIGHLY recommend trying it. I come here specifically for this cold brew and will definitely be back soon for more! Luce Ave Coffee Roasters is also nice cause they are supported by Ritual so its easy to get your order quickly if you're in a hurry, or earn points for free food/drinks eventually. With so many coffee cafes all around town, how do you pick out the good ones?? You Yelp it, of course. After reading the great reviews for Luce, we definitely knew w head to check this place out. I had the iced latte and it was refreshing and hit the spot. I'm not a big coffee drinker but this cup hit the spot. The almond milk paired perfectly with the coffee, so that the coffee itself wasn't too overwhelming. The fiancé ordered the hot latte and he really enjoyed it as well. The staff is super nice and welcoming, thoroughly answering any questions you have with a small on their faces. The cafe itself is narrow and has a handful of seats available. In the back, they have a small room were they roast and grind their coffee beans. If you're lucky, you'll catch them roasting on your visit! Let me say this is one of the tastiest drinks I've had, I'm not a quick drinker but this baby was finished in record time! My kid doesn't like iced drinks but took a sip and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's just my favorite. The price to portion size is decent for the ice variety. The pandam latte is my most favorite item. The quality is excellent on the espresso they use and pandam is actually kewra essence if you're from south asia, it's what they use in rasmalai to flavor it. The charcoal latte is also nice, it's a little tangier so not something I'd pick over other things, but tasty and makes for a great aesthetic if you're into that! read more

We've been going to this lovely coffee shop since it opened. Why I've waited this long to write a review? I have no clue. My usual hot latte or cappuccino have always been fantastic and such a treat. We used to order our beans directly from Costa Rica, but ever since Luce Ave opened, this is our place to get our beans since they roast inhouse. Our favorite is their house blend, Pan Pacificopeia, but their single source Ethiopia is also good. If you don't want to go inside, they can bring your order out to your car which makes it super convenient if you have little kids or trying to social distance. It's also a plus when the business has a nice owner and kind workers. Lastly, the next time you get your coffee, try their house made chocolate chunk cookie, it's rich and delicious. read more
