I stopped by CoffeeTrend looking for a budget friendly place to work for a few hours, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in. I ordered a churro latte with whipped cream and it was absolutely delicious. I also grabbed a blueberry muffin, and they warmed it up perfectly. The outside had a slight crisp while the inside stayed soft and moist. The atmosphere is what really sold me. There are cute outdoor tables, cornhole games, fun artwork throughout the space, and a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I pulled out my laptop and got some work done comfortably, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover they also serve alcoholic beverages and stay open later in the evening. It feels like a coffee shop and neighborhood hangout all in one. We ordered three drinks the Anna's Special, iced white chocolate almond latte with almond milk, and an iced pistachio vanilla latte with almond milk and none of these drinks lived up to their names nor the listed ingredients that were listed. The coffees in my opinion were flavorless, watery, and underwhelming. We picked a cocktail at random to try which was the Anna's Special and trust me there was nothing special about this drink other than the prices. This establishment has some really good price options when it comes to coffee, cocktails, pastries, wines, and other beverages. The barista's were very friendly, welcoming, and sweet. CoffeeTrend is a cozy cafe with an unassuming exterior, a hole-in-the-wall vibe; it'd be easy to miss if you're walking by. The parking situation isn't ideal, and seating is a bit limited (there is outdoor seating, however), but the nearby views are a huge plus! I also liked how they had a book table sectioned off where customers could borrow books. I ordered the Iced Pistachio Vanilla latte with oat milk so that I could catch up on work for finals. Overall, it was a tasty drink, but I wish the pistachio/nutty flavor had been a bit more prominent, and it felt more like a regular vanilla latte. We were in the area, needed coffee l, and found this place on Google with good reviews. It's cute inside, but it's not the most inviting from the outside with the burglar bars. That said, it strikes me as a neighborhood/local bar "where everybody knows your name." I ordered the pistachio vanilla latte with oat milk which was delicious (a little sweet, but that's my fault for not asking) and hubby ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, which had a good flavor but not your traditional "ca phe sua da". To me, it tasted like they used a different sweetener instead of condensed milk; but hubby thinks it's the coffee beans. Would love to hear from the owner, which one of us is right - ha ha. I haven't had the breakfast tacos here, but I've tasted their Cookies and Cream Ube cookies and it's so delicious! I do have a sweet tooth though, so it might be too sweet for some others, but I thought it pairs very well with their Honey Vanilla Latte or their other lattes. The service has been profoundly outstanding with their customers and I've noticed they're accommodating and joking with their customers. I tried the vanilla pistachio latte and my roommate had the churro latte. Both were very good. They were also serving breakfast tacos so I had a bacon and egg one that was good. The night of 7.11.25 at 8:30 pm we had the disgust of having to deal with the RUDEST, MOST CONDESCENDING person taking care of the cash register. She does not vocalize and speak really low. We know you are tired but it is your job to first vocalize, second be patient and third not take your frustration for whatever it's going on in your life on costumers. Houston is full of really nice coffee shops like Tazza beautifully decorated, with an amazing selection of crafted coffees and out of this world employees, so we're NOT COMING BACK to this place thanks to that person. Service was super friendly and you can tell the staff has a good relationship with one another here. Got the iced churro latte, and to my surprise, it was so good. Im not one for strong coffees where I can really taste the flavor and prefer more sweetness, and this was perfect. 10/10 and probs one of the best coffees I've tried. Bf got the iced honey cinnamon latte and its 8/10 for him c: Got a cherry turnover and it was just ok. Really wanted to try the cookie butter cc cookies but it was sold out :( Stayed here for over 4hrs and was able to get a lot of work done. After visiting Memorial Park in the cold weather, my youngest daughter wanted hot coffee. She jogged by this tiny coffee shack and bar routinely and was intrigued. So off we went to CoffeeTrend. This shack was tiny with about 15 seats and a small sofa. There were 4 picnic brenches outside next to the walking, jogging, and biking trail lining the bayou. To me, the interior decoration projected a East Coast urban neighborhood vibe. We loved it. I went with the spice Americano and daughter had a latte. Both hot coffee were absolutely delicious. We couldn't believe how inexpensive the high quality coffee were. The lady batista was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Interestingly, several months ago when exploring the amazing Braes Bayou bike-path--easy access via the still-new Rabbi Samuel Karff Memorial Bridge across the Braes Bayou at North Braeswood Boulevard/Glen ArboI passed by the /Braes Road--I passed by this small strip mall initially, but the sight/scent of the monthly (unscheduled) ROMANIAN (I LOVE Romania from my biketouring there with brother Nils during our 1981 biketour of then-Eastern & Western Europe) Food truck stopped me. What a delicious mid-day treat! And it must be washed down with the cycling energy drink of ¡CAFFEINATED COFFEE! from adjacent COFFEE TREND‼ Since I biketoured this route pretty frequently, it's become a habit for me to stop, converse with penultimate owner ALEX, and, of course, slurp down expertly made Vietnamese Coffee (no wonder my weight isn't decreasing as much as I want...!) I had the matcha rose, and it was a tasty and comforting beverage. I wouldn't recommend it for the caffeine content (because it didn't give me much of a boost), but I would for a warm calming beverage. I would come back and try the more traditional coffee options. Cute, new coffee spot next to Three Brother's Bakery right along the bayou trail. It's cozy inside with various tables and chairs with a funky couch to chill on. The menu is in a bit of an odd location; not directly where you order, but is to the side. We ordered the iced matcha latte and two Frappuccinos - all with almond milk. Unfortunately, they only have one size available for hot and cold drinks, which is why they lost a star. I prefer to order a large beverage to drink throughout the morning. Service was rather quick. There were only two other people in the establishment upon our arrival and they already had their beverages. For three drinks, they took less than 5 minutes to make. The iced matcha latte was good - not too sweet and had good flavor. The two Frappuccinos tasted mostly like coffee; I was thinking they'd be more like Starbucks as I ordered them to be flavored. Vibe- This is a new cute coffee shop in West University on the Brays Bayou Bike Trail! There is a table outside near the trial and there are 3 round tables outside with a few chairs. There's about 4 tables inside with colorful bar stools! There's also a comfy couch that sits under a beautiful piece of artwork. Customer service- Great!
