I absolutely loved the vibe - it was welcoming and community touches all around. For example a little "take a book" wall, plant propagation exchange station, and some items for sale including a book one of their baristas wrote. How cool! And the COFFEE - this is somewhere where you can really taste the craft. Fantastic Ethiopian house blend. We also tried some pastries and the cornbread cookie (SO good). Everything and everyone are so amazing here at Cavo Coffee. The employees are so fabulous and friendly. It's a nice place to work and chill. I especially enjoyed being here sitting in the comfy chairs with my friend sipping the freshly brewed coffee and some delicious pastries. I first learned about this place was because of the OutSmart Magazine's annual recognition. People chose Cleo Coffee as the Gayest and Greatest Readers Choice Award, along with the other business Cleo Roasting Co. The best time to come by is commute hours and Sunday afternoon. I could usually find space to sit and park. I usually buy the freshest roasted beans and ask them to grind them for me. So, I can take them home to brew at my house. Okay, I'm a BIG fan of this place! My family and I visited for the first time over the weekend and both my latte and my husband's cortado were top-notch! We both agreed they were probably in the top three we've had in Houston. Additionally, my son got a blueberry muffin that was delicious as well. The person taking our order was extremely friendly, answered all of our questions, and had several cute moments interacting with my son. There was also a DJ that definitely made for a very cool vibe on a Sunday afternoon! I don't know if it's the exact place I would go to study/work due to the music, but we all enjoyed the ambience. This has been my favorite coffee shop in Houston since I first moved here in 2021. They use Mill King cream top milk, roast and sell their own beans (which we love to buy), and have some of the most creative and delicious seasonal syrups you can find. My go-to for the longest time was just an iced latte with whole milk and simple syrup and they use such good quality ingredients that it hit every single time. Another solid place for a flat white -- the coffee was very fragrant and I liked how they had a little area with packets of sugars and a bottle of simple syrup to sweeten your drink. I don't see a lot of places do this. This is also great place to do some studying or to get work done. There's a variety of seating and plenty of outlets - I like a mix of standing and sitting, so I opted for the taller table with bar stools. I got here around 8:30AM and the place was quite packed with people getting breakfast & chatting. By 10AM, the rush slowed, down and there were more open seating. This coffee shop was recommended to me recently, and the wild part is it's a couple miles from my place, I'd driven past it hundreds of times and I simply didn't realize The interior was incredibly trendy. When I went it was on a weekend, and closer to noon, and this spot was pretty much completely full. It's obviously a great shop to work, do homework, read a book, or catch up with friends The menu offers all your favorite classic coffee drinks. There's also pastries, muffins, parfait, etc. this place is a roasters, and there is a section you can peer through windows to see where some of the magic happens. You can also purchase beans from them The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a painless process to order, and the orders come out very quickly... quicker than most coffee shops. And it's definitely not a quantity or efficiency over quality because the coffee is amazing, and they still had time to create beautiful latte art So, the only thing negative I have to say about this shop... it's easy to miss. The exterior isn't anything overly flashy, and it just blends in with the other businesses there. There is a vibrant sign and a cool little coffee shaped bike rack. This morning's song playlist is really pumping me up! It's Saturday and we're on a K-pop trend ! I like this location for it's simply and cozy service. Latte, flat white, cappuccino or mocha on the menu, or soda and various pastries for more. Pick a table, most are 2 seaters, a couple of sofas and high tables. Great lighting from the windows, another view on their big coffee beans grinder machine next door (correct me here please - not sure how it's called). Usual sounds of coffee making, milk frothing. came to cavo coffee on labor day! it was such a nice coffee shop - with multiple areas to fit the different needs of people going to a cafe. there's a couch area, a large communal table, and individual work areas. there's parking on the side, and the parking in front is only for to-go coffee spots. i got the cortado ($4.5), the beef empanada ($2.75), and an earl grey scone ($3.50). my friend tried their summer special, pandan at the disco matcha latte, which is matcha with pandan and banana. i tried a sip and it was just okay. i really liked their coffee and the earl grey scone! the beef empanada was a bit dry inside. vibes were good! would come back to do work one day. read more

Love a coffee spot with tons of parking. Went there about 1pm and was quiet with folks spread throughout getting work done on their laptops. A great coffee shop to sit and do some work! Plenty of two-top tables (perfect for all of us solo workers), relatively quiet environment and friendly staff! I ordered an iced chai latte and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking Tip: they have a private parking lot that's located on the side of the building BUT it is very small and has minimal spaces available. It's also hard to pull out of if you go in and find no spaces available. I got lucky and by the time I had turned around to leave, someone was walking out to their car so I was able to take their spot. I think this lot is shared with the other businesses in the strip which would explain the parking situation. read more

Nice, clean coffee shop near West U and Upper Kirby. I stopped here to do some work after helping with an event at Rice. The coffee shop is right on Bissonnett with a small parking lot attached, but it wasn't an issue on the Thursday afternoon I visited. The inside is pretty with lots of plants as decorations, but on the small-medium size range of shops. There's a large barstool type table on the right with ~4 booths on the right and 3-4 tables on the left with another smaller barstool table against the wall. I think I saw 2-3 places to plug in so maybe come charged if you're planning to work. I had my usual plain Iced Vanilla Latte and it was good. A nice refresher during this summer heat. Found this cute little place while scrolling through yelp. Cavo is near the kirby area and has a decent size parking lot right next to it so you don't have to worry about parking. The inside is also pretty big with different seating options and a great aesthetic/ vibe to study in (i stayed here from 9 am-6 pm) The downside is that there aren't many outlets around the establishment, maybe like 4 total so you either have to get lucky with a spot next to the outlet or come with your devices charged. I came on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy and I was able to secure an outlet seat. I ordered an iced honey lavender latte with almond milk. Definitely better than average and it had the distinct smooth taste I like in my coffee, but it wasn't the best I've ever had.
