Tried Waygood and liked it. The drinks were good - smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Staff was friendly and the place has a chill, welcoming vibe in the Kirby area. Definitely a nice spot to stop by whether you're in a rush or want to hang out for a bit.

This place exceeded my expectations! One of the better tasting coffee cloud Matcha that I've had. It was so refreshing and very creamy. The place inside was very nice too. I highly recommend and would come back.

Honestly, might be my new favorite coffee shop! They also have a drive thru which is very convenient. Service was nice and they have tons of drinks to decide on. I'm super excited to come back because I wanted to get a few different things, but for this time I chose the Brown Butter Latte, which I thought was great! Sweet, but not like your swallowing sugar! When we got to the window, the barista asked if we wanted a pup cup too for my dog! Super sweet and friendly here! Will definitely be coming back to try more drinks and food!!

This was THE PERFECT STUDYING ENVIRONMENT!! To start, the interior is very roomy and they have small tables and a very large table. There are also a few outlets and they have free wifi! Now the coffee, I've recently been hooked onto cinnamon in my coffee and I believe that this is the best cinnamon coffee I've had so far in Houston. It wasn't too milky or overly sweet. It tasted like a 'grown-up' version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk (with the coffee of course). The baristas are nice and drinks come out quick! They also have a drive thru. I definitely plan on coming back as I've also heard great things about their matcha.

I love this place with my whole heart. From the drinks to the atmosphere. The baristas are kind. What's not to love? When it comes to coffee, I'm picky about what I deemed as amazing, but this place is a knock out!!!! Especially their lattes top with cold foam. I literally get so happy when I'm here. Great place to study too! Peaceful.

Best strawberry matcha I've had. It has a different name in the menu that I can't recall, but it always hits the spot. Service and ambiance both are 10/10. It's always clean in there.

Matcha latte was great, well-balanced, and tasted authentic! The brown butter latte was so creamy and delicious, highly recommend this drink. Service is great, and the vibe of the place is nice for anyone looking for a quiet study spot!

Island Brew and Waygood Latte was incredible

I had heard great things about this spot, and on one of my days off I decided to swing by and check it out From the outside you can't help double take at the trendy and vibrant exterior art/signage. The space is modern, and as you walk in it's fairly spacious with seating, well curated decor, and a comfortable vibe (good music at a good volume, and plenty of AC). There is a cozy yet tendy patio space as well The counter is immaculate and looks straight out of a magazine with beautiful light fixtures, hanging plants, and other art... yet not cluttered in the slightest. It was a nice touch that there is a well organized straw/napkin and complimentary water station. The WiFi password is also displayed behind the bar The menu is brightly displayed on 3 screens. Waygood has a variety of signature drinks (espresso, cold brew, and matcha adjacent) The staff were very busy with the drive thru orders, but I was greeted with a genuine smile. I also asked for some recommendations, and the staff was more than accommodating and helpful. My order came out in a timely manner (2 drinks in ~2min) The flavors are incredible, and the textures are smooth. I can't do it justice, but this has become one of my new go-to's If you're on the go, they have a speedy drive thru service, but it's also a great place to enjoy a cup inside. Surprisingly for the area there's also plenty of parking Some tips: I'm a sucker for coconut coffee, so, I recommend the Island Brew (cold brew). I also LOVE espresso, and the Waygood Latte was incredible. I came a little later in the day, so, they were out of most of their pastries, so, come early and try one of their tasty looking breakfast items Cheers!!

Way Good Coffee truly lives up to its name! Great coffee, friendly service, and a warm, inviting ambience. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's worth the effort once you step inside!

I am usually not a coffee drinker but after I tried a sip of my friend's drink, I knew I wanted to try it for myself. The waygood latte did not disappoint! I love that there is a sweetness to it while still tasting the coffee flavor. I love the creaminess that comes from the foam at the top. I enjoy sitting at their big table to do some work with my friends. Their music and ambiance is such a nice vibe! The only downsides I have is that parking is very limited and that their wifi sometimes does not work. But overall, I enjoy Waygood so much!

Pumpkin Matcha, Blueberry Chai, Strawberry Matcha
    Regina K.

We got 3 drinks the blueberry chai, the pumpkin Matcha, and the strawberry Matcha. Out of the three the strawberry Matcha was my favorite personally and had the right amount of sweetness, and the flavor profile was good. I didn't really like the other two that much. My friend loved the pumpkin one, so definitely to each his own. My other friend chose the blueberry chai, personally, it was too sweet for me, but I see the vision. We went through the drive-through, the service was quick. Upon driving past the shop, it looked like there was some seating area inside.

Tried their brown sugar matcha and strawberry fields matcha and was so surprised by how good they were! Both weren't too sweet and I loved how creamy they were with the oat milk. Service was great and it's a cute spot to sit and chat/study! Lots of parking so it was super convenient! Will definitely be back!

I've seen this place for a couple of months now and I had to stop by! I went through the drive through, so I don't have anything to say about the ambiance inside. The drive through process was quick and efficient. I also was asked if I wanted to sign up for rewards in the drive through line which was nice. I got the sunset lemonade and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS!! I I really enjoyed how fresh it was and it was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. I will definitely be back in the future!

The oat latte my friend got was creamy, well balanced and wonderful. We got the eggs, sausage, and cheese taco, chicken gumbo empanada, and the beef empanada and each one was delicious. Grinder's Coffee Bar came up and it was right across the street so I made my way over. I arrived around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I parked in their small complimentary lot and made my way inside. Ambiance (3.5/5): Grinder's is basically two spots in one. When you walk in, there's a small counter where you place your order. And a handful of seats. From there, you wan walk into a more spacious second room that houses a CBD shop. And more seating along with the bathroom. I sat at a couch in the CBD area. While weed isn't my thing, if you're into both weed and coffee, that makes for a nice one-two punch for you. There isn't a ton of seating, less so than most coffee shops. Luckily, since it was a weekday, I didn't have any trouble. I wonder if that's different on the weekends. They also have free WiFi if you'd like to linger and work or study. Service (2.5/5): The menu is a little confusing because they have a menu on the counter and a menu on the wall with different items. I didn't see that there was a menu on the counter until I was about to place an order. They also have some beverages in a cooler that aren't on either menu. Not the best set up. Service wasn't terribly friendly either. Food (N/A): Since I just had lunch prior, no food for me. They have a small, but appetizing number of pastries and small bites for sale if you get the munchies (pun intended). Drinks (3.5/5): I'm not a coffee drinker so take this with a grain of salt. When I go to a coffee shop, I like coffee shops that still have a nice selection of teas and juices. Grinder's has a small number of teas that can be made either hot or iced. I went with one, iced, and sweetened with agave (for a surcharge). I liked it and the price was reasonable. They also had a mocktail of sorts that was available on their seasonal menu, although like most mocktails, overpriced. While not really my vibe, if you're a CBD person, Grinder's will be right up your alley. It's a unique spot and located in a great part of town.

From a chat with the barista, I learned that Duo started because the husband had a love for coffee and the wife had a passion for pilates, so they thought "why not combine the two?" The River Oaks location is the founding store and they have since expanded to a second location as well. The people who work here truly seem happy and are eager to share the stories of their founders, which makes the place even more special. During my visit, I tried the birthday cake latte, which is a seasonal drink, and the flavors were also beyond what I've tried elsewhere. I'm typically not a fan of birthday cake flavored items, but I was feeling adventurous so I told the barista to surprise me with a drink from their menu and that's the flavor they ended up picking for me. When I received the birthday cake latte, I wasn't all that excited but all prejudice fell away after the first sip! I didn't adjust any sugar or ice levels like I typically do for my drinks, yet the drink was just right! Overall, I am just amazed by the people, the vision, and the gem of a place that I sort of happened into on a random weekend. I will definitely be returning again frequently for pilates, lattes, and/or fun conversations. Pro tip: initially it looks like visitors have to use street parking, but I confirmed with the staff that the parking lot across from the coffeehouse is free to use as well. Pro tip #2: there is option to order ahead with the QR code in image attached. I have not tried, but that may help skip the lines and make it easier for drink pickup.
