From the exterior, it's hard to know what to expect but when you walk in the restaurant, it's got a good ambience to it. They offer booth seating, romantic table seating for two or more and seating at the bar. The hostess and the servers were very attentive. We received excellent service from the bar as well. The drink that I chose was a Side Car and coming from LA, we have great Mixology, but I have to say that this drink blew me away. And could possibly be one of the best whiskey cocktails I've had in a long time! It was so well, balanced, and perfectly crafted. We ordered the mussels and the fish of the day which was the trout in a lemon wine caper sauce. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we ordered both the chocolate mousse and the crème brûlée. I did not try the chocolate mousse, but my daughter said it was amazing. The crème brûlée was also perfectly made. They have 6 different kinds of French toast. We tasted 2 of them, and they have the same taste. Just different toppings. The price for the French toast with eggs, bacon and home fries was $17. Now they charge $18 just for 2 slices of brioche with some sauce that resembles the old Banana Foster sauce, and an additional $6 for the eggs, bacon and home fries. Disappointing, and more expensive than it's worth. Walking into a restaurant to be held hostage by some speech about a small store selling books inside the restaurant?! Yeah, don't do that. If we hadn't already ordered, we would have left. No refill on water, no inquiry about any other drinks.
