Bun mam, 3 banh mi thit nguoi, bun bo hue and com ga. All was for $54, definitely on the pricier side of Vietnamese foods but I thought it'd be ok if the foods are good. They also charged me more than the "old menu" that he gave me. Banh my was missing a lot of the key cut of meat (Gio thu, etc) and pate was no where to be found. The bun dishes were very skimming on the toppings. Bun mam had two little pieces of pork and was missing squid. The broth had a bun bo hue taste to it too which was strange and was too sweet. Bun bo hue didn't come with a pork knuckle or blood cube. Huge disappointment and we won't be back.

The truly delicious part was those authentic Vietnamese: the pickled vegetables, including white radish, carrot, and cucumber, were sweet, sour, crisp, and refreshing; the cilantro also made the overall taste even fresher, and I hadn't had cilantro in a long time since coming to the US! I was slightly disappointed because I thought the shrimp would be cooked with the sugar cane, but was only served sugar cane on the side. The sugar cane tasted kind of weird too... A little sour... The rest of the platter was loaded with mint, perilla leaves, carrot, cucumber, rice noodles, that you can wrap in the rice noodle sheet that comes with hot water to dip in.
