This place was an absolute shock of a find. I was looking for lunch in the area and this completely hit the spot. I would have walked by had I not known this was here, but it was definitely worth the visit. I tried the chicken vermicelli and it tasted so fresh. The Vietnamese coffee was strong with a great flavor. They also had a bunch of specialty drinks that I did not try. The menu is large, so it was a great reminder to return again soon to try the rest of the menu. Service was friendly and atmosphere inside is cute and friendly like the service.
Top tier customer service! We were greeted in, table/floor was cleaned up, someone checked in with us a couple times too! Tofu Bahn Mi (5/5) - I really liked the breading on the tofu, the pickled daikon/carrots had the perfect bite and there was a kick in something, I don't think it was just the jalapeno peppers though The Vietnamese Coffee with Salt Foam and Cream Cheese Foam were excellent and strong. I really appreciated how the foam didn't just dissipate into the drink, it had some thickness to it.
I came here before my hair appointment across the street on a Thursday afternoon and the place was already getting packed. I got the Bulgogi Beef Bowl, Summer rolls, Vietnamese coffee with Ube foam and Vietnamese coffee with Pandan foam and everything came out super quick! The Vietnamese coffees were strong and perfectly sweet. The Ube and Pandan foam gave a nice flavorful yet slightly salty finish to it. The beef bulgogi bowl was hearty and delicious! Would come back to try more drinks and their banh mi!
Saigon Grace's Cafe is a great addition to Philadelphia food scene on South St. It is a Vietnamese fusion restaurant that offers bún riêu, traditional banh mi but also has birria tacos, churros pancakes, and a cheesesteak banh mi. The churro pancakes were robust, flavorful, and lightly sweetened. My son loved them. My daughter had the bỏ né (grilled beef skillet). The bún riêu was solid... it was large sized, flavorful, and even included short ribs. I will definitely get it again. My wife got grilled pork banh mi (birria tacos for the table) and she was satisfied with both dishes. The ambiance was nice with decent lighting and a good amount of seating for the brunch/lunch crowd. We loved the pictures of Vietnam on the walls. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We look forward to being a recurring patron for years to come.
Such a hidden gem! This Vietnamese lunch/brunch and coffee spot is seriously so good. They even have Mexican food on the menu, which makes it perfect when you're craving different flavors in one place. The banh mi is super tasty, fresh bread, flavorful fillings, and perfectly balanced. They also have a big variety of drinks. My favorite is the coconut water matcha, so refreshing, light, and not too sweet. The space is small and cozy, which makes it feel warm and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.
An absolute gem of a breakfast/lunch spot. My husband and I were looking for something a little different, and were stoked when we found Saigon Grace. The entire menu looked amazing (and reasonably priced!) and it was so hard for us to choose, but we settled on the breakfast burrito and pork banh mi. Both really filling and delicious. We will definitely return next time we visit Philly.
Another delicious lunch at Saigon Grace Cafe in its relaxed environment topped off with great, friendly service. So glad it's in the neighborhood!
This is a nice cute warm cafe with very cute decor. It is welcoming and has limited seating. The place does get packed and I saw lot of take outs as well. We were here on a weekday for lunch. Seat was available and so we sat immediately. Limited food menu was good and easy to select from. We placed our lunch order. It was cold outside and every time someone opened the door it would get very chilly inside. So may be they can have a cover so that it does not get very cold. In terms of food, it was delicious. Portions were perfect sized i.e. not too large or small. My main complaint is the long wait time. It took over 40 mins for our food to come out. Looked like the food was ready in the kitchen and just not got to us. I could see food being brought to multiple tables together. Which meant some of the food got cold sitting out there. Hence I deducted one star. Else food was good. I do recommend this cafe for coffee or lunch.
Cute cafe. We came here on a cold Monday afternoon and it was packed. There was a small line to place an order with people waiting for their takeout orders as well. We were able to place our order in about 5 mins but did not expect the wait of 35+ mins to get our food. The table next to ours got their coffee and avocado toast 30 mins after placing the order. I wish they would have told us they're running behind when we ordered. Now for the food, it was delicious!! We lapped it up within 5 mins. I want to give them a second chance because food was good but I'll probably skip if it looks too crowded when I go back.
I saw a post about Saigon Grace on TikTok and decided to scoot over for a solo lunch. The staff/owner was so friendly and accommodating; it really made my visit wonderful. The inside was very peaceful and quiet, even when guests came in to eat or pick up take out orders. The vibe I got was that it's a nice local spot, perfect for the community. Now the food: I went with the Coconut Ube drink special and I was blown away! It was my first time trying anything with ube so I was a bit skeptical but wanted to try something new and I wasn't disappointed. I also ordered the beef bulgogi bowl and it was delicious! It was a good amount of food, so much so, that I couldn't even finish. I'll definitely be back!
Did a quick brunch with my daughter! And happened to stop by this adorable cafe. Vietnamese owned, relatively new place, about 4-5months since it opened. Loved the viet-Mexican-Korean influenced menu. We asked for recommendations and tried the salted foam coffee, Thai Thea cream cheese, mango pancakes and the bulgogi banh mi Drinks were great! The wall drink menu has a few more options we missed, like the matcha coconut drink. So check that too! Mango pancakes used dried mangos, since it's in season now, fresh mangoes with a chantilly cream or mango syrup drizzle would have taken this dish to the next level. The banh mi was delish, loved the Kim chi in it as well. The taro fries were a little too oily for me. service was great. Got to chat with the owner and his wife for a bit. Definitely give this place a try!
yum! unassuming neighborhood restaurant with good bites. my friend and i decided to check this spot out for lunch, and we really enjoyed it. i had the bulgogi vermicelli, and she had the bulgogi bowl. the bulgogi here is phenomenal -- flavorful and tender. i absolutely love vermicelli bowls, and the one here did not disappoint. i will say, it's pretty expensive for the amount of food given. i think we spent over $20 each for a simple lunch, and it wasn't a crazy amount of food either. their thai iced tea was good too, but the service was a little questionable. i ordered a second thai iced tea to-go for my friend, and they fully forgot about my order and we sat there for a while waiting patiently. they were nice though when i asked them about it, but it was a little disappointing to be forgotten about. i probably wouldn't come back unless someone really wanted to, there are other fantastic vietnamese options in philly.
Came to this casual spot for a weekend lunch, and it's a good place if you're looking for a mix of Vietnamese, Korean, and Mexican food! When I went, there was probably a half hour wait, as it was pretty popular. You order at the front, and then they'll bring you the food. My friend and I ordered the pork vermicelli bowl and the birria ramen, along with their pina colada iced tea. The tea was super refreshing, and I've also heard good things about their vietnamese coffee! The vermicelli bowl was well balanced, but I wished the birria ramen had more flavor. It's pretty small inside with limited seats, but the service is very fast and friendly. Overall, would come back here again!

We came here on a sunday afternoon about 1:30pm, the restaurant was busy and had a few open seats. We were greet and seated immediately when we entered. The restaurant was well lit and clean. Staff were attentive. The food here was amazing! Probably the best Vietnamese food I've had in Philly so far. The meats were not overly charred and tender. The ingredients were fresh. Not to mention the large portions on the vermicelli! The banh mi bread was really good and crispy on the outside. The only thing odd was to pay and tip before we ate food. I guess we could've left tips on the table after instead if we had cash. That said, it was convenient to go up to order without waiting for the waiters. Thanks for the good food!! read more

Vietnamese coffee and matcha were very good! Summer roll and vermicelli bowl delicious as well. There was a half of a tooth pick when I bit into the roll included in my vermicelli bowl, but not sure if it was accidentally banged around/obscured from view due to that item packed for take out? I would maybe not include tooth picks in the take out items since someone else may have trouble seeing it and bite into it as well read more

Tofu banh mi- the tofu was crispy and not greasy! I loved the pickled veg with it. The mayo also didn't make it heavy at all. Bulgogi rice bowl- the meat was flavorful and salty. The sauce was acidic and helped balance the bowl. Each component of the bowl worked well together read more

I found this spot after returning from a trip to Vietnam, desperately trying to cope with my Vietnamese coffee withdrawal--and Saigon Grace did not disappoint! In my first few weeks back, I tried their Salted Vietnamese Coffee, Traditional Vietnamese Coffee, and the Ube. All were delicious, but the Ube was definitely my favorite. They really nailed the bold, rich flavors that reminded me of what I had in Vietnam. If you're looking to try a new type of coffee or just want to indulge in a Vietnamese treat, I highly recommend Saigon Grace. read more

The decor inside was warm and comfortable, yet stunning. The employees were incredibly nice and welcoming, food was quickly served and tasted wonderful. I had gotten the Bo Ne, cheesesteak egg roll, bulgogi rice bowl, Thai milk tea, and their pina colada iced tea. The plating itself was incredible (see in photos), but the taste was also outstanding. The meat was sweet like Korean food and had a lot of flavor and sauce with it, the bread they served were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside (yum!), the piña colada iced tea didn't taste how I expected it to taste (it had a floral taste to it, I was expecting it to taste like a virgin pija colada but I didn't dislike it that much) and the Thai milk tea tasted good. Me and my friend sat at the two person table next to the windows and got some really nice pictures too! read more

Cozy, unassuming spot with great food and bevs. I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh taro chips which had a lemon-y flavor that was super refreshing. Little bit far from my place to be a repeat spot but definitely a place worth stopping by. I'm not sure if they have central air or not but it was warm out when we went and they had the windows open and ceiling fans on and it was quite hot inside. read more

Amazing (Saigon) Grace! The menu is a mix of Vietnamese, Korean and Mexican and everything my friends and I got was great! Banh mis, bulgogi vermicelli bowl, spring rolls, fun dalgona iced viet coffee drinks. You order at the front and they bring it your food. There isn't that much seating so you may have to wait a bit, but the food came out super fast! Service was very friendly. Recommend for a casual breakfast or just a fun drink. read more

Stumbled upon this new Vietnamese restaurant on South Street on the way to the gym. They have new twists to the classic Viet coffee. The salt foam top being one of them. The coffee is strong, not too sweet, and the salt foam was a nice touch. Chatted with the staff a bit. This place opened three months ago. The owners are not new to the food industry so they knew what they were doing with this. The menu looked to have some classic Vietnamese dishes but also some fusion items. I'll be back to try the food read more

Saw this on my insta feed and had to try! A blend of various Asian cuisines like Korean and Vietnamese. Items: ~Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk and salted foam- strong coffee taste but balanced well with the additions! Not too sweet or salty ~Dalgona coffee- takes me back to COVID days where I would make this drink at home! ~grilled chicken banh mi: amazing!! Cucumber, carrots, grilled chicken (seasoned very well),jalapeños, and sauces read more

We stopped in at Saigon Grace Cafe for brunch on the weekend. They have a wonderful brunch menu combining American classics with great Vietnamese flair to it. We got a stack of their curro pancakes. Topped with powder sugar and small churros on top. With syrup drizzled on top it delivers a chefs kiss of taste buds. A fairly small place with limited dine in capacity but the staff is friendly and very accommodating. I saw a lot of people take their items to go if you aren't able to get a table. read more
