The flavor also felt off, tasting more like binding ingredients in chocolate candy rather than a actual chocolate. FOOD Located next to Machine Shop, most guests don't come here for pastries, but they do have a limited selection of donuts and croissants. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. It's a small storefront so the line can seem quite long, but they are efficient in filtering people through. AMBIANCE Located in the Bok Building, there's ample seating in the general seating area right by and behind the storefront. The space is shared with other guests visiting Machine Shop and the stores in Bok. I saw some people working/studying, but it can get quite busy/loud. This is such an unassuming cafe inside the Bok Building. The service was very helpful and friendly. I ordered one of my go to drink, Espresso Tonic. Although this cafe's espresso tonic turned out not to be my favourite, but you can tell the quality of coffee beans. This is a cute little place located right next to the machine shop (a phenomenal bakery). I usually try new coffee places with bakeries so this is what I did this time around. There service here is great and you get your coffee pretty quick. My issue with this place was hoe limited the options were. I entered on the north side of the building and it took me a while to figure out where the coffee shop actually was, but once I found it, I realized how nice of a space it was. We stopped by Two Persons for our morning coffees on Saturday when we were visiting Philly. I loved the space. It's located within the Bok Building (which is amazing - see their page for tons of rave reviews, including mine). Two Persons is in a small area within the Bok Building, but there's plenty of seating shared between the many businesses in the Bok. The service was friendly and fast, and I enjoyed my iced americano (it was too hot of a day for a hot coffee). My husband didn't enjoy his iced latte however - they filled the cup up about 3/4 with milk and then added just a tiny bit of coffee. The ratio was off for him - a milk drink with a bit of coffee. (I told him that 2:1 is traditional for a latte, but when I googled it, I learned that the ratio for lattes/iced lattes can be 2:1 or 3:1, depending on the barista and the coffeeshop. This seemed even more milk than a 3:1, though!) They have a few pastries that looked really good, too. Definitely a fun coffeeshop to check out. read more

When I asked for cinnamon on my chai latte I was met with a blank stair from the baristas who told me they didn't have that. I understand that this coffee shop is in a small spacs, but I promise you could find a spot on the shelf for a small container of cinnamon. I honestly wouldn't have even ordered this drink if I'd known they didn't have any. Cinnamon on a chai latte is pretty standard. On top of that the drink was barely warm. When I asked if they could cut my pastry in half to split with someone yet another blank stare as they informed me that they did not have a knife. I understand it may be logistically difficult to give every patron a knife with their pastry, but you really don't have a single knife in the back you could use to cut this in half. But really you come here for the space itself. There were tons of people sitting about doing work on laptops, as well as people passing through to explore the various shops. Unique ambiance as set in an old inner city school in Philadelphia. The repurposing of such a space (i.e., the BOK) to house Two Persons Coffee and other businesses/offices is a brilliant idea. The space is clearly popular as it was serving a steady stream of customers and the seating area was full on a Sunday afternoon. The oat milk latte had a depth of flavor and richness and was beautifully presented. The cookies were lightly sweet and just the right portion size for a quick snack. Other baked goods(e.g., doughnuts, cookies, croissants) were available when I was here, but no additional food items appeared available. Two Persons Coffee has character. Two Persons has a great atmosphere and delicious lattes. Whenever I'm in or near the Bok building, I pick up an iced latte here and a pastry at the shop next door. I've also gotten some of the apricot cookies at Two Persons and they're delicious. Usually I take my treats downstairs for my toddler to play at Beehive. All in all, it makes for a great morning. My only (small) complaint is they don't have flavored drinks - just simple syrup. It's high quality, I just sometimes want to mix it up. read more

Wonderful spot! I love the whole concept -- it's a old trade school that has been repurposed, primarily into private studio spaces, but the coffee shop on the ground floor is open to the public. It did take us a moment to find it, but it's pretty much in the center of the building, so if you go inside and walk towards the middle you should see it The area is very spacious, with plenty of eclectic seating. I was chatting with a relative of the owner who told me that all of the furniture and decor (even the countertop of the coffee bar) was repurposed from other parts of the building. Such a great way of upcycling, and really gives the place a unique vibe! The coffee itself was good, a little on the strong side, which was perfect for me. They don't have decaf drip coffee though (only decaf espresso drinks). The espresso I had was served in a lovely mug! read more

The clients are ignorant, and the owner refuses to tell the clients not to lock their bikes to private poles on private property across the street. There are bike poles on 9th & Mifflin for all clients/customers. However, they keep locking their bikes on poles not owned by bok. I've complained so many times, but they refuse to do anything. I even locked my huge trashcan to my pole and their customers push it over to the side to lock their bikes. Unfortunately, I deleted most of the photos from my phone because the bok office said they would send a memo around to the businesses to let them know not to park on private property. Came here on a Saturday afternoon to get a latte with a friend. This place is located on the first floor of the Bok building. There is really only one entrance, which is on a small side street named Dudley street. This place is pretty chill and cool because the Bok building used to be a technical high school that was shut down in the early 2000's. Now it's privately owned, reopened and had businesses on certain floors. The latte was reasonably priced. I like the ambiance, it's a nice place to either do work or to just catch up with friends. The coffee bar is not big, very low key, and the menu is not big. The latte was good and would come back to sip and chill. read more

No loud music, patrons are respectful, plenty of seating options, ADA accessible, and staff is super nice and accommodating. They even allowed me to work past their summer 2pm closing time, which I really appreciate. If you want to be ignored by a barista while he slowly prepares the previous order so he can talk longer with the PYTs ahead of you, this is the coffee shop to go to. I couldn't review the actual coffee because after 5-10 min of the barista looking at me and then looking back at the women, I gave up waiting and moved on with my day. This is the worst attempt at ordering coffee I've ever had. The only thing that could have made it more dismissive is if had straight up called me slurs. Love this place. It's located in Bok Building and is literally in this chain-linked box. It's really hipster and has plenty of seating area nearby that is decorated as a school. I got a latte which was smooth, easy to drink, and well caffeinated. Part of the allure of Two Persons Coffee is the environment, the "lost in time" vintage classroom with wooden benches and old yearbooks on the walls. It's a great place to come and hang out with some friends (and take the occasional instagram photo). It can be hard to find but you should take the south entrance (Dudley Street) to get in. read more
