CNT is a chill tiny cafe that's snug and welcoming to sit in for a small crowd. But it also makes up for that size on warm weather days by being a couple doors down to a chill playground park with ample outdoor seating. With that size you might come across a line out the door during a busy time of morning. But it moves pretty quick and you get a warm greeting when its your first in line. They have ab awesome regular coffee menu with everything that you may come to expect and a couple surprises. But the absolute must is checking out their seasonal latte selection that has featured flavors like lavender, red velvet, banana mocha, strawberry matcha, and then some! This is a chill, small coffee shop. Very limited seating. Very limited snacks. The La Marzocco machine is a good one and they definitely put care into each drinks preparation. I had my usual latte and it was good. Milk was well textured and at a good temperature. Some nice latte art was created in a ceramic mug. My friend and I tried their Red Velvet Matcha Latte and the Regular Matcha Latte. The regular Matcha Latte was extremely grainy, grassy in an unpleasant way, and almost fishy in taste. The Red Velvet Matcha was a completely different field--tasted more like a Milo chocolate milk drink. The green tea flavor was not there and was overpowered by the chocolate, with all of the red diluting down into a brown color after mixing. I also heard a customer ask what was in the Red Velvet Matcha, only for the barista to say "Red Velvet." The customer then proceeded to ask what was in the red velvet for the barista to respond along the lines that she didn't know, wasn't going to try to find out, and that it came from a powder. I found this encounter somewhat rude, and I would wish the baristas could try to look into it if a customer asked. For the space, it is pretty small but you can find some tables to study if you're lucky! I would consider coming back to try their coffee and tea drinks, but I'll go elsewhere for matcha. read more

What a great shop and another awesome addition to the neighborhood. My wife and I stopped in for some seasonal cherry blossom lattes - super solid! We found street parking pretty easily in the area and then inside it's a small shop that packs a punch. A good friend of mine told me about CNT last year, so I checked it out and was not disappointed. The quality and taste of the coffees and teas speak for themselves. I like the specialty lattes, and my go-to is the iced rose latte. These drinks are not cheap, but CNT also gives out punch cards. For every 10 drinks you buy, the 11th one is on the house, so it kinda evens out at the end. CNT is also dog friendly! Since I've been venturing more into lattes these days, I've come to realize what my top 3 criteria are for a good cup of java. - the flavor you order stands out distinctly - the espresso doesn't overpower the flavor you got - there is no sugary or strong coffee aftertaste When all these components come together, it makes for an excellent controlled cup of brewing and this is what this place does. Their seasonal flavor catches my eye...Cucumber Latte?? Don't think I have ever seen that before. I absoutely loved every sip. If you're not a cucumber fan, then this might not be for you. I have to hand it to the barista for incorporating this into a latte, it shows that he's willing to experiment. I saw in another review that someone had an Orange Latte. Sounds yummy. For me it's worth another visit to see what new seasonal drinks they will have the next time I'm in the area. A really cute and cozy cafe! I came in here because I thought they had little cakes. Sad to say when I arrived, they were all gone They did however still have the typical baked goods available in a cafe like croissants and muffins. They also had free dog treats! Our drinks came out promptly and not without extra attention from the barista. I ordered one of their specials, iced sakura matcha latte w/ espresso. The sakura and matcha together was a lovely combo. But as soon as I mixed the whole drink, the matcha was very strong in flavor with only a very slight hint of sakura and espresso. We had the pistachio mousse cake and it was amazinggg! Not too sweet and smooth texture - the barista was super friendly! They even took us in when they were closed - you can buy tea and some cute CNT cups, totes, shirts as well! Another wonderful, and welcomed, addition tucked away on the side streets of Northern Liberties! As a coffee nerd, the immediate area felt a bit starved for a shop like CNT. I was worried we'd have to open our own, but luckily the wonderful owners of CNT took that burden off of me! Ha! They use a local-ish roaster out of State College, and pull good shots of espresso! With silky milk steaming that is the perfect temp to drink immediately, I've been able to trust ordering a good cortado from CNT when we're out walking the pups. It's sort of my make-or-break for a coffee shop, and they do it well! The nitro cold brew has hit the spot on warmer days, and I've really enjoyed their teas and refreshers! Even though I'll typically order a classic drink, I love that they're always exploring new seasonal drink options to pair with all of the amazing pastries and desserts offered from local places like Cake & Joe and J'aime Bakery. What a beautiful shop with great coffee, refreshers and snacks! Really, there's nothing bad to say. We have been in a number of times since it opened and love having it so close to home, especially when you need that little break away from working at home. I love that they have pastries from j'aime which is one of my favorites (that said, I don't make it there all that often unless I have a hair appointment right next door to the bakery) - absolutely delicious. They also have Cake & Joe desserts from Pennsport which aren't only stunning, but also tasty.
