I need to be so honest about this place, I've come here on several occasions and while I think their matcha is good... I don't love their options! I always find myself having a hard time choosing a drink because many of them have dairy embedded into the interesting aspect of the drink. I always end up being just okay because I can't get the actual thing I want. I do think it's nice you have some non matcha items on the menu for those folks who are just there to support their matcha addicted friends. Overall matcha profile is great, make more nondairy friendly items!!! Also more hot drinks!!

A nice little treat. The Matcha Cloud Americano was good. Not spectacular but good. Unique for sure although I think I prefer a traditional americano. The nice cream was smooth and tasty even if on the pricey end. A cute spot that is equal parts vibe and taste, although I wish it leaned more into the taste (food quality and price). I'm not disappointed but wouldn't go back unless I happen to be in the area. The staff though was the best part. Very kind and helpful. Perhaps a bit understaffed but still friendly and overall pleasant to interact with.

Got their Matcha Bomb latte with Coconut milk and Matcha gelato - I think I have found my new obsession! As usual their matcha is super high quality, such a beautiful shade of green and they never add any sugars in their drinks or gelato - everything tastes so naturally flavorful!

Came over on a Saturday afternoon at around 3:30 pm and we were able to order immediately. There were regular tables and booth seatings with giant plushies seated at some. They had some different options from cream puffs to drinks to ice cream desserts. Matcha Gelato - It was a pretty large sized ice cream and the matcha green was such a vibrant deep color. The gelato itself was creamy and smooth that contrasted well with the crunchy, fresh cone. We enjoyed the quality and the textures of the matcha ice cream and highly recommend this place if you're in the Chinatown area for dessert!

I'm always wary of matcha cafes because they often disappoint and can suffer from any one of the matcha sins such as grassy matcha or watered down matcha. This place ,however, exceeded my expectations. I got the matcha latte with the matcha gelato and it was creamy, had a strong matcha flavor, and the drink itself was not too sweet. I also just love the decor around this place and how there were giant plushies in every stall. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good matcha spot!

Wow! This place lives up to the yelp hype. I came here on New Year's Day ~ 4 PM. They were already sold out of the Matcha cake and something else that I wanted now that I can't recall. So I end up getting the Matcha crème brûlée hot drink with oat milk and it was so good. It is not too sweet but just slightly sweet, which is perfect. Desserts are best when it's not too sweet. And I got the Matcha puff which I couldn't help but compared to my favorite Bibble and sip matcha puff in New York City. It's smaller than the cream puff at Bibble and Sip, and just slightly more expensive, but it was still really good and the puff filling was incredibly light and again my favorite descriptor "not too sweet". The interior is also really cute and the large larger tables are reserved for three or more people. They also have cute giant stuffed animals at these tables that you can take photos with and just have a really warm and inviting on beyond. The service was also really great. It was my first time coming and the gentleman at the register came over to help me make my selection given how cold it is. I really wanted a hot drink and so he pointed me to the right direction. I'm so pleased with both of my items. And maybe I'll even swing back before heading back home to DC. Parking is a pain but it's a pain anywhere else in Chinatown. And the bathrooms were clean.

Such a cute place! Offers variety of drinks and desserts. Great way to start our day with a cup of matcha. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. Great customer service! Drinks came out quick. Cashier was helpful on recommendations. Will come back to try their cream puffs and other desserts

Such a small and cute matcha cafe, decorated with jumbo stuffed animals in each booth. Great for groups or a cozy cafe date. It is located in the Chinatown area of Philadelphia. The menu has a nice variety of matcha and non matcha drinks and desserts. I ordered the Iced Drip Jasmine Jade Latte (F5) with a shot of matcha. You can tell they use quality matcha from the first sip. It is strong with a deep, earthy flavor. The drink was not too sweet, which was perfect, and the matcha complemented the jasmine tea nicely. Very balanced overall. Staff were very kind and friendly. They explained how to best enjoy each drink and brought everything to our table, which was a thoughtful touch.

Great experience at Matcha Panda Café. The service was excellent and very attentive. The matcha drinks were rich, smooth, and full of flavor -- some of the best I've tried. The cream puffs and matcha ice cream were also fresh and delicious. The only downside is that they don't allow two people to sit in the booths, as there's a sign stating they are for groups of three or more. Aside from that, everything was great. Highly recommended for any matcha lover.

Got to visit this super cute cafe on a day trip to Philly. Our group went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. We got a variety of drinks and the crepe cake. Everything was delicious would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

Stopped by mid-afternoon to chill and get a drink and had a great experience! The space is cute and comfortable, the employee was very helpful with answering any questions, and our drinks were delicious. The matcha latte with normal sweetness was perfect and the matcha taste was very strong. Definitely would want to try other menu items!

5 stars for Bud and Marilyn's? I recently gave The Love 5 stars for its fried chicken!…read more The Marilyn's Fried Chicken I had this evening was every bit as good! I'm not sure why I waited so long to try the chicken at Bud and Marilyn's, but better late than never! They serve a LARGE 1/2 chicken. I started with the thigh. I was smitten by the first bite. I was told the chicken is soaked in a buttermilk brine for 24-48 hours - dipped in a buttermilk dredge - covered with their 'secret recipe' seasoned flour - and fried in a 'pressure fryer' that cooks the chicken in 12 minutes. It was perfectly fried - so crispy - the texture and seasoning of the exterior coating was incredible. The chicken was tender and juicy - the thigh was the juiciest - I didn't get to try the drumstick as I was too full! I had the thigh and 1/2 the breast. The breast is my favorite and I savored each large delicious piece I broke apart. It's important to pick up the chicken and eat it by hand - I did cut mine in half for a picture - but didn't use a fork to eat it - you lose the 'panache'of the meal. I didn't use the hot sauce served with the chicken - I brought my own bottle of honey and poured it over the chicken and biscuits. It was heavenly! Which brings me to the Biscuits! The dish comes with 2 large fluffy buttermilk biscuits - they were golden brown on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside! They had such a rich, buttery flavor. I took several pieces of chicken and layered them on pieces of biscuit, drizzled with honey! It was truly a 5 star fried chicken and biscuit dinner!

Service was quick and we got seated fast. I ordered the mango dessert with ice cream, sago, and pomelo, and my friend got the tiramisu. The mango dessert was amazing. Super fresh, sweet mango chunks with that natural tropical flavor, paired with creamy ice cream that melted into everything. The sago added a soft, chewy texture and the pomelo gave little bursts of citrusy bitterness that balanced the sweetness really well. It felt light but still indulgent. The tiramisu was also really good. Soft, creamy layers with a nice coffee flavor that was not too bitter, and just the right amount of sweetness. Very smooth and easy to keep eating. We stayed for a while just chatting and were not rushed out at all, which I really appreciated. Not every café lets you sit and relax like that. It is located down a slightly shady alley, but honestly it is fine, especially when it is still light out and since it is in Chinatown. Just feels a little hidden at first. Overall a really solid dessert spot. Not just mango focused, but if you love mango like I do, this place hits.

We're always getting some combination of a couple of classic desserts, a crepe, or pancake. As you'd expect, the desserts with mango are tasty and we're also partial to the ones with durian! Sweet but not too sweet, refreshing, and enough variety to keep things interesting. Toppings also had a great texture. Personal favorites are Snow White juice with durian and black rice, special mango juice sago with pomelo w/ mango ice cream, and mango and black rice. I thought the pancakes were just okay - the crepes for them had an interesting texture to me. Also, the crepes were solid, just not what I'd be coming here for. Black sesame paste soup with rice balls was also mid - the rice balls had a great chewy texture, but the black sesame felt a little lacking.
