Came here after trying practically every coffee shop in a 10 block radius and seeing that the were all packed, and I'm a little glad they were because I never would've ended up here. I had their seasonal strawberry and pandan matcha, which tasted more like a strawberry milk than a matcha but was so good that I didn't really care. I also got an almond croissant, which was flakey and delicious despite being cold (they can't warm up pastries). We sat in the enclosed patio across the street at Sally's, which said it was heated, but only one of the small space heaters worked (not the one at our bench). They have heated seats, but we made the genius decision to come here during the blizzard and warm seats were definitely not enough to cut the 10 degree weather. Highly recommend avoiding in the winter, but I bet it'll be cute in the spring! read more

This place is hop-ening! We were in the mood to enjoy the outdoors as it was a lot more temperate this day than it has been lately. Took the opportunity to check out this place - solid coffee/matcha/little treats for all critters! It's a decent sized place with small tables inside to enjoy. They also have outdoor seating. We ordered the black sesame latte, a matcha, and their ricotta focaccia toast topped with fennel and cherries. Thoroughly enjoyed everything and the service was great! Headed over for a morning matcha on a Thursday at around 11:30 am. The interior is very cute with the pink tiles and dark green contrast in other decor. I was interested the most in their featured lattes, was able to order immediately and got my matcha in about 5 minutes. Lavender Matcha - One of their featured lattes and it had a good sweetness level to it. The lavender flavor from the syrup was pretty light, I could taste some hints of it which paired well with the matcha flavor. I would have wanted a stronger overall matcha flavor though as the milk overpowered most of the drink. Some of their other drinks sounded pretty interesting so I would go back to try some others but not sure if I'd want to try a matcha there again. read more

We were lucky enough to be right next to this place which is dangerous. It's super cozy, has great coffee and staff as well. The outdoor seating next to the large windows is great in warm weather. Went to Mr. Rabbit with my wife on Labor Day looking for our caffeine fix. Great spot located on a corner, super cozy inside with some tables and an array of tables outside for beautiful weather. I got an Ube Matcha, loved it as it's not a menu item I see a lot in CT. My wife got a coffee with an Ube cold foam, very enjoyable as well. I got an iced oatmilk lavender latte and it hit the spot. I thought there was the perfect amount of lavender flavor in this latte and it didn't overwhelm the entire drink. The oatmilk was somehow perfectly bland while adding the milky aspect. Perfect post-run stop for an iced drink and pastry! If I lived here, I'd stop by all the time. I went with the matcha tonic with grapefruit and the strawberry Danish. Both were incredible - the matcha/grapefruit combo was top-tier, the Danish had the perfect crisp/chew, with a generous dollop of strawberry and cream. My cousin's chocolate croissant, however, tasted pretty stale. We ended up accidentally dropping it on the ground anyway. I ordered a blueberry tart recently that slapped. I want to get a poptart but I am afraid of getting CRUMBS on myself in front of all the HOTTIES. - The staff here is efficient and, though I've referenced the out the door line, I've never waited more than like 7 minutes for coffee. Just hop in the line and you'll be fine. You could spend your whole day on this corner enjoying Mr Rabbit for your coffee needs until wine needs beckon and you head across the street to Sally. I absolutely love this place. It's one of my official treat yourself rituals. They have great matcha, ube, and coconut drinks. The tarts and the open-face focaccia sandwiches make a great accompaniment to them. Fair warning, they can be crowded at peak times (the morning and lunch rush) making it tough to sit and work here. I have visited Mr. Rabbit twice now, once on a weekend and once on a weekday. I love this place so much--the only con I can think of is the constant line out of the door on weekends. Even at 9 am on a random Tuesday a line was beginning to form so be sure to budget a few minutes to wait to order (however the line moves quick!) Every single pastry / food item I've tried has hit the spot. Highlights for me are probably the homemade pop tart (thick / perfectly flaky / sweet) and the smashed cucumber bagel (basically a lox bagel / I don't like when bagels are over packed and impossible to eat and I felt that this bagel was well proportioned for my taste) There is seating available inside that fills up relatively quickly and some tables outside as well. There was also additional tables and chairs available outside, so that was nice! There are plenty of pastries and treats available for purchase. My friends and I grabbed one of the Focaccia Sandwiches (I think it had Ricotta and some other toppings on it); I enjoyed it and thought it tasted quite good. We also picked up one of their tarts, and I liked that too. As for my drink, I got an Iced Vanilla Bourbon latte. The coffee tasted good, but I'm not sure if the "bourbon" part of the flavor really came through. Still delicious! I would be interested to come back and try their honey maple flavor. I was excited to try Mr. Rabbit as one of a number of new businesses that have sprouted up nearby the Schuylkill in recent years. I got one of their seasonal specialities, the strawberry citrus spritz with a shot of matcha on top. I should have figured that the matcha would be extra, but the way the barista automatically offered without specifying, I said yes without thinking. It was very tasty and refreshing on a hot day, but pricey enough that I wouldn't get it again. Listing the prices for seasonal drinks would also have been helpful. My friend got a cappuccino and a slice of their tomato pie. I was a bit taken back that the barista didn't ask if he wanted the slice heated, especially after her earlier query to me. My friend isn't picky, a native Philadelphian of the old school who happily scarfed down his slice at room temperature. But I also found it bizarre to drink cappuccino with pizza - is that normal to Philadelphians? Maybe I'm not Philadelphian at heart after all. At least he really enjoyed it, which is the important thing. The quality of the offerings at Mr. Rabbit is very good and it's a nice space. This place is terrific. The number one thing a coffee shop needs to do is made delicious coffee, and Mr. Rabbit makes the best coffee I've found in the area so far. I'd say it beats out my prior favorite, Top Hat. Their coffee is some of the best I've ever had, period. They also offer a rewards system, which is pretty rare among independent coffee shops. read more

Not at all what we were expecting, especially because so many videos were raving about it. Came again and I'm happy I decided to give it another shot! The sourdough bagel was such a great surprise. The other pastries you can find at other coffee shops, but the bagel was SO good! The shop still seems to be trying to find its way and it's a bit slower than the other local shops, but it's cute inside and they have a nice amount of outdoor seating.
