Excellent and friendly servers. Great place to get your fix of some jasmine tea inspired cold or hot drinks. They also have osmanthus and other limited time flavors such as grapes this past summer. You can order in person at the counter or just go straight for the large iPads by the door. Get your order number ready and go next door for some Nan Xiang xiao long Bao goodness. currently my favorite milk tea spot in philly! molly tea is such a great milk tea chain and i was very happy that one opened in philly. i've been numerous times since opening, and have even doordashed from here when i didn't have the time to make it out to the shop. i absolutely love jasmine milk tea, so my go-to order is the premium jasmine milk tea. they share a space with nan xiang express so it's super convenient to grab a bite while there. the shop is small but efficient, and the quality is always consistent. their packaging is beautiful and high quality, the to-go orders are meticulously packed to maintain their temperature and prevent leaking. unfortunately, it looks like they just announced on their instagram that they are temporarily closed for renovations, but crossing my fingers that they will reopen soon! absolutely worth a visit if you are a fan of jasmine milk tea. read more

I tried a few drinks here and was pleasantly surprised by how unique and well-balanced they were: Matcha White Champaca Salted Cheese - Starts with a light matcha bitterness, then transitions into a subtle floral camellia note. Refreshing with nice layers. Jasmine Mango smoothie - Sweet mango paired with pomelo bits and a hint of jasmine tea. Super refreshing and not overly sugary--perfect after a meal or on a hot day. Premium Jasmine Apple Milk Tea - Tastes like a cold-brew tea mixed with green apple juice. Very crisp and refreshing, slightly ing apple candy in a fun way. Great if you're not into milky drinks. Jasmine Tea - A pure tea option with a clean jasmine aroma. Smooth, not bitter, and gets better as you sip. Pairs really well with heavier or savory foods. read more

I've been a regular since the beginning, and I have tried their white champaca milk tea, snowy jasmine, white champaca oolong milk tea, dancong oolong milk tea, and even their holiday special jasmine apple milk tea. I have to say, though, I initially really liked this spot because of their strong tea and floral notes, but I have noticed the quality has gone downhill, even though they are still swarmed with customers. I stopped by yesterday to grab their premium jasmine milk tea (which is their signature drink that they're most well known for), but to my disappointment, it was heavily milk forward to the point where the tea flavor and the signature Jasmine floral notes were completely drowned out. I really hope that this was a one time thing and that they would stick true to what they are known for (high quality drinks that are not too sweet and tea forward). The shop itself is undeniably aesthetic. It's sleek, modern, and very clean with their signature pink branding everywhere. I went during Christmas time, and they had Christmas decorations up, and they were playing Christmas music in the background. You mostly order using their kiosks, which definitely makes the experience more efficient. The workers are friendly and very efficient in getting the drinks out as fast as they can. One unique detail worth mentioning is their signature straw. It has three small holes instead of one big opening. It's designed to force you to sip slower so you can actually smell the floral aroma and taste the foam and tea layers together. It does work, as I find that the flavor hits the palate differently. read more

I always love Molly tea!! As a big jasmine tea lover... I've enjoyed a wide variety of their drinks from Their simple jasmine milk tea to more adventurous mango smoothie tea to the peach tea to the chocolate hazelnut lava drink and the double hazelnut lava drink. I love their original jasmine milk tea! My friend wasn't the biggest fan as she's not a fan of floral tastes and if that's the case this shop might not be for you! I'd give it 5/5. I love they you can choose your sweetness and ice levels too! The mango smoothie tea was honestly just a 3/5 for me... it was good but if you've tried hey tea... or even mango mango... i prefer those two over this one. Peach milk tea. As peach is one of my favorite fruits... this one tasted a little artificial? Not sure how to describe it but it left a fragrant floral aftertaste in my mouth that was stronger than peach but different than jasmine... 2/5 for me Chocolate hazelnut lava. As a chocolate lover right now... this is yummy!! It kind of tastes like a mix of chocolate milk and jasmine tea... which I think it is haha. It's on the sweeter side even for me who loves sweet drinks so I really appreciate 70% sweetness. This is my current craving and got it twice in less than a week! 5/5 for me! read more

We headed over for an afternoon pick me up at around 3:30 pm on a Friday in the campus area. There were quite a few people there ordering at the kiosks but our orders came out in under 5 minutes. They had some seating inside, definitely easy if you go in with a smaller party. Premium Jasmine Matcha - The matcha was so rich and grassy, love that they put it as a cream top so you can taste the full flavor of it before mixing it all together. I love how strong the matcha flavor came through even after mixing in the jasmine milk. My sister had a pistachio drink and I loved the flavor of the pistachio foam which was sweet and nutty. A great place to get high quality teas and matcha drinks. read more

Their tea base was pretty good. They are more concentrated in green tea than black tea though. But if you're a green tea lover or jasmine tea, this place is a go to place to grab yourself a drink. I had a Tongmu Lapsang Milk Tea which I like the stronger tea taste than milk taste. Will definitely go back to try other drinks too. I also love the interior of the store. Good to take some photos too. And the servers were fairly nice and friendly too. Because this is located in University City, parking will be something a bit troublesome. So be prepared to park and might need to walk a bit if you can't find a spot right outside. read more

Molly Tea near UPenn is a go-to spot for anyone craving a refreshing tea fix! Even though the shop is always busy, the staff are impressively efficient and friendly, keeping things moving smoothly. The store itself isn't very big, so it can get quite crowded inside, but they do have both indoor and outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to find a spot. Ordering is super convenient with their self-service kiosks, and the drinks are consistently great. I highly recommend their matcha and jasmine tea -- both are fragrant, smooth, and beautifully presented in their pretty cups. Parking is a bit limited in the area, so walking or taking public transit might be easier. Overall, Molly Tea is definitely worth a visit for quality drinks and quick, friendly service despite the crowds! I ended up coming back here everytime I come to Philly. Can't wait for them to open a store in DMV area. I will probably be there everyday. read more

I've came here twice now-- the first time was during their grand opening. During the grand opening, there were long lines so it took a while to get our drinks. They were doing a buy one get one promo, so that explained the long lines. At my second visit, there was still a wait but no where near as long as the first time. It was my first time trying Molly Tea, and I really enjoyed the jasmine flavor! Very floral. I would come back every time I'm in the area if I could. The inside is shared with another restaurant, but on the side of Molly Tea, they have some tables and decorations. Recently they even added mobile ordering which is nice. The only downside is parking since it's paid street parking. read more

It was very busy when we went. Minimal seating and the order and pickup area gets a little disorganized. The workers were all doing their best and very efficient I feel like. I got the jasmine mango smoothie. It was like an icy mango slush on top of coconut milk. It was a good amount of sweetness. I especially loved how you could taste the jasmine through the mango smoothie part, but it wasn't overpowering. My only complaint is that I felt that there were crystal jelly balls inside and that unexpected for me and textually too different for me. That of course is a personal preference and the drink itself was good. read more

First time at this location! We tried the Snowy Gardenia (50% sweet) and the White Champaca Matcha (50% sweet). Both were delicious and around $8 each. The Snowy Gardenia is their gardenia milk tea topped with a signature jasmine whipped cream and crushed (candied?) pecans. The tea itself was beautifully floral and paired so well with their house whipped cream, which was light, airy, and infused with fragrant jasmine. I loved that they even provided a spoon to taste specifically the whipped cream. The White Champaca Matcha was just as unique, with smooth green milk tea and matcha powder blended into their cheese foam. The drink was creamy, earthy, and perfectly balanced when all mixed together. The shop has about six small tables inside that comfortably fit two people each, along with a couple more tables outside. While a few people were working, most were there to chat. Despite a long line when we arrived, the drinks came out quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, Molly Tea is a must-visit for anyone who loves floral teas and delicious toppings. read more

DRINKS I tried their jasmine milk tea with brown sugar boba. The boba was tougher than I would have liked and the flavor was lacking, but the tea was incredible. It was strong but not bitter, naturally sweet, and complemented the milk well. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! They are very efficient despite the large order volume. AMBIANCE Only 4 tables for 2 are available inside the store. It is largely a grab and go place and can get quite loud, though you can still see students study inside. read more

Huge new Molly tea, milk tea location in Philadelphia, right next to the universities. The inside is so big and there is lots of seating. The inside also smells so good similar to other molly teas. I was super excited to try it and I will surprise that that location was so big and had such a large amount of seating. There was seating right next to the register both on the left and right side. This is where I first tried the peach oolong milk, tea, and it is by far still my favorite and I am still hoping for them to bring it back as soon as possible. Only thing that sucks is that you need a new membership for each state. My membership from New York does not work here so I can't use my New York account card that has value in it to pay. Nor can I get points for my purchase unless I need a new account. read more

I am so bummed this opened right after I moved out of the building. Very small lovely spot. What I love: 1. Unique selection of floral teas 2. Truly lightly sweetened - your stereotypical (boba) tea shoppe is still super sweet even with less sugar which cloys after a few sips. At Molly, it is continuously refreshing. 3. Truly light on ice - your tea never gets diluted over time 4. Friendliness - all the staff have been very pleasant. I asked one person what theyre favorite was and everyone started chiming in their favorites too... like very eagerly too , so now I can't wait to come back and try more. Very good people to be in company with. 5. Attention to detail/presentation - I saw a team member dribble a bit of cream over a and she meticulously wiped it off with clean towelS. She used two clean towels to wipe a single dribble. Any cleaner she'd need q-tips and a UV light. So far I tried two floral teas White Champaca Milk Tea and Gardenia Milk Tea (more subtle). I don't have a refined enough palate to further elaborate on the floral flavor profiles but I really enjoyed both. My husband not so much but he doesn't like tea much to begin with let alone floral teas. 0.99 to add sago is a bit steep since sago is such a cheap product so I am bummed about that. It adds up when you visit couple times a week plus tip. read more

I absolutely love Molly Tea, the first time I had it was in China, so when I heard they were opening one here in Philly I was so so excited! My absolute favorites are the premium jasmine milk tea and the snowy dancong. All with less ice and 70% sugar. The tea flavor is strong and shines through effortlessly. It's definitely comparable to the one I had from China. There's only one size, medium and I wish they'd made a large version! Very bright and cute shop with wonderful customer service but the tea actually wasn't very good...? I'm a lover of jasmine tea. I often brew jasmine pearls at home. It's one of my favorite teas. And this place says that it's the specialty of the house. Which means that it should be absolutely delicious. It was not. I ordered a hot jasmine milk tea with half sugar. I don't know if the tea was not the freshest, but it had that kind of vibe. Which is to say that the vibrancy of flavor and aroma seemed muted. The tea was also either brewed weakly or there was too much milk to tea in the ratio. It wasn't exactly bad, but my expectations were set high and it failed to deliver. I'll go again and try one of their more fun bubble tea drinks, but just on the taste of their jasmine tea alone I have to give them a middling rating. read more

Absolutely obsessed!!! The gardenia tea is a dream~ Molly Tea is a boba shop that specializes in floral flavors, and let me just say -- they NAIL it. I got the snow cap gardenia tea and it was *spectacular*. Floral, creamy, slightly sweet but super balanced -- it's such a rare flavor to find, and they executed it perfectly. I can't stop thinking about it. The shop itself is adorable, with a soft pink, airy vibe that feels super welcoming and cozy. It definitely leans toward a feminine aesthetic, and the lighting makes it feel like a perfect little escape. The line was long (clearly this place is popular for a reason) but it moved pretty steadily -- there were about 10 people ahead of us, and the 8 staff members behind the counter were working hard to keep things moving. Took about 15 minutes, which honestly felt fair given how packed it was. I'm so happy I live nearby because I already can't wait to go back. Molly Tea is my new go-to treat spot. read more

Molly is a very appropriate name for this store because mo li means jasmine. I like their slogan: once you meet Molly your heart will have the joy. I came here to take advantage of their 12 percent discount during the soft opening and buy one get one free during the grand opening. The staff was very professional and friendly. They were wearing pink masks to ensure that everything was hygienic and headsets for better communication. There are two self ordering stations to move the line faster. Very cute and clean store with big adorable mascot to take pictures with. Several seats both outdoor and indoor. During grand opening, the line started to build up before the opening hour at 11. Several staff members went out to distribute menus before the store opened so that customers were ready to order when they got to the counter. I got free jasmine scented sachet because I posted an Instagram photo. I love it, natural jasmine fragrance that can brightens up your day. The line was quite long but there was enough staff who prepares the order fast. Once your order is ready, your order number is displayed on the screen. Very efficient work flow. The carry out bag is cute and sturdy because they put cardboard at the bottom. Nicely sealed too. Jasmine milk tea is my favorite. I tried both the regular milk and oat milk. The peach one is nice with subtle peach flavor. My least favorite is champaca milk tea, it has a usual floral taste. read more

They were advertising a lucky cup event from 10/17-10/19 if you tried a drink from their new line as well as a bingo card. I got the new salted cheese drink on 10/18 and didn't open the bag until I got home and it didn't have the tear to win lucky cup sticker on it and they didn't give me a bingo card either... I guess it was my fault for not checking the bag but I was in a rush. I DM'ed on Instagram but got no response and they're still posting to advertise the promotion... First time going to Molly Tea and ended up trying a jasmine tea with crystal boba that was recommended by a friend. This would not be a typical choice for me but I decided to try it. The drink looked really pretty and was okay. I opted for less ice but there was a lot of ice in it still and it didn't take too long before I was finished the drink. I thought the drink was overpriced too, as it was over $10 for a medium. The decor inside was really cute and fun for Halloween. read more

I love Molly Tea because it feels like real milktea with strong tea flavor without being overwhelmed by the milk if you know what I mean. However, the wait time could be super long so I encourage you to order their app and pick up after 20-30 minutes. The store is small with not much seatings, so it's more suitable for takeout.
