Forever my go-to Boba place in Philadelphia! Being a few blocks from the China town entrance makes it easy to get to. Plus with its proximity to Reading Terminal market and Main street, it's worth a visit. The drinks are good, menu is easy to follow, and the seating area is comfortable and cute. I ordered the hot Vivi Milk Tea with Boba on my last visit and enjoyed it. I said this in my past review, but the hot boba during winter is a necessity. It was a little busy inside, but the staff was completing orders quickly. I've never tried any of the food options, but they really sound delicious. The employees gave some great recommendations to other patrons when asked.

Almost every time I'm in Chinatown, for over 10 years now, I've had to stop by ViVi Bubble Tea. Their drinks have always been the same quality, and they do introduce seasonal drinks periodically. And I almost always grab their takoyaki as a snack; while that dish has become more available over the years, ViVi has amazing takoyaki. The staff is always very nice, and service is fairly quick. Customers are always there, business is steady to busy for them, so quick service is important, and they succeed! The location is very convenient, in the heart of Chinatown, so it's nice to stop in, grab a little something, and continue on my way. The store is a bit spacious, so if I need to sit down for a few minutes, I can do that as well.
Came here with my boyfriend after walking around Reading Terminal and craving bubble tea. Service was fast and we got a large brown sugar milk bubble tea and taro creme brulee tea. Both had milk caps which were pretty good and my boyfriend enjoyed his though I thought it was weirdly chewy in texture like you were swallowing small pieces of cake. My brown sugar bbt was a little too sweet for me. Our two drinks were pricey at $16 altogether. The cafe was really fun looking with Jenga pieces and places to sit. Could be fun to come back and hang out here!
Nice little tea spot in the heart of Chinatown. Has seating inside and was good place to rest. They also have some small snack menu as well. Didn't get to try any of the food items this time. Ordering is pretty quick at the counter. Decent value and drink was good. Thanks
A very nice store in Chinatown, lots of seating, some games available for groups to hangout. The fact I like about Vivi, they offer small snacks to order, alongside drinks. Their drinks menu is huge, offering almost all kinds of bubble teas. We ordered the crumble oreo drink, the fruit tea, popcorn chicken and Takoyaki. Drinks were amazing as expected, bubbles were soft and chewy. The fruit tea had lots of fruit and jelly. Popcorn chicken was moist and really well cooked. The takoyaki was disappointing to me. All of the pieces were overcooked, they appeared dark/burned. The inside didn't taste as good as other takoyakis I have had. Still this is an excellent bubble tea spot among many in this area.
I swear on my life this is true happened half an hour ago!!!!! It's so disgusting. It's the first time in my life that I drank a fly. I went to induce vomiting, and when I thought about the taste, I thought it was meat in my mouth. It's so disgusting. 用生命发誓真实的事情！！！！！真的tmd是我人生第一次喝到苍蝇。，一想到那种无法形容的口感还以为是肉在嘴巴里因为边吃饭边喝奶茶我还差点吞下去那个苍蝇还少了腿不知道是不是已经被我喝下去了 太恶心 我感觉我要去投胎了.当然我已经去催吐了 那种感觉不想再体验一次了 眼睛鼻子喉咙都很难受催吐！
While my husband and my friends love Tea Do across the street, Vivi has become my go to for bubble tea. As a person who is very sensitive to caffeine, Tea Do's Thai milk tea is a bit too strong for me. I haven't really tried their other drinks since I always get the same thing, but their menu is huge. Their popcorn chicken is delicious too! Fresh off the fryer, it's hot, juicy and tender. A perfect pairing with your choice of bubble tea!
After I finished a self-guided tour in Independence National Historical Park, I needed to go to the city hall in order to catch a SEPTA train to the airport. I was running. I was thirsty. I decided to stop by Chinatown in order to buy some energy dring. I found Vivi near the iconic Chinatown gate. I bought a cup of milk tea. I started to run again. I arrived in the city hall and went to Love Park. I could arrive Urban Station of SEPTA. The train that I tried to get had gone. While I was waiting for the next train. I finished the rest of the tea. It was so good. If you need to go to the airport, the tea will be a good energy drink!
You cannot visit Chinatown and not walk around enjoying a refreshing bubble tea from this, the best establishment there is with the most incredible flavors. They turn bubble tea into an art form that must be experienced. The young, energetic workers take great pride in crafting out wonderful concoctions that will be sure to leave you happy and a lot healthier . Come on and enjoy! Great music and free phone charging throughout. Unisex bathroom and large meeting tables in the back. This place is definitely a hit. Easily accessible from any and all inner city SEPTA routes and down the street from the Greyhound bus terminal and Thomas Jefferson regional rail station, PATCO Station, Market Frankford EL and Broad Street subways.
I love vivi, the popcorn chicken and drinks are sooooo goooood!!! However, I realized recently the snack portion got smaller compared to what I used to get back then.. that's the only disappointing thing I could say about this place. Hopefully they bring back the original size.
This drink is absolutely beautiful. Honestly I don't even know the name. I just ordered it because it was advertised on their board It's a lemon lychee flavored drink. The whole drink was a majority ice and when you take the initial sip, it's not pleasant. Taste like lemon water. You have to mix the drink A LOT in order for it to taste decent and after the syrup at the bottom mixes, it's a decent fruit tea.
It seems like a pretty popular bubble tea place in Chinatown so we stopped by and what a disappointment. The selections are limited and worse than the bubble tea cafes we have in Oklahoma and Texas. They don't even have smoothies! The limited selection of slushes they have aren't even anything delicious (maybe not to me). For two medium milk teas we paid $10! So expensive! We have better boba tea selections back home and I'm surprised this place was so popular because it's not even close to being anything close to good that I've had. After coming here my husband and I did not attempt to get bubble tea anywhere else in Philly because it was just terrible.
There is a reason this place has been opened in Chinatown for many years. They have great selection of bubble tea and other drink, and small snack that fills you up, the service was quick and food comes out fast, the location is in the center of Chinatown and inside it have plenty of seat for you to sit down if you aren't going for take out. The milk tea taste delicious, the lychee slush is also delicious, but what really is delicious is the popcorn chicken, I opted for the garlic and it's full of flavor, taste fresh and full of seasoning. More like a 2.5 but I'll round up to a 3. Went here during a big Chinatown festival and was surprised it was pretty empty. Ordered a mango boba tea half sugar low ice, plus popcorn chicken and sausages to go. The boba tea was just standard boiled boba with no extra sweetness or infusion. If you like less sweet drinks this might work for you, but it felt pretty plain. They also use powdered flavoring instead of fresh fruit, which brings it down a notch. Food was better. Definitely Taiwanese street food style. The popcorn chicken had that classic crispy coating and seasoning, just a bit toned down in flavor. Same with the sausage, slightly sweet and savory but not as bold as I expected. Portions were very generous though, you get a lot for the price. Service was the main issue. The staff, who seemed like the owner, was very short and came off rude. I saw it happen to the people in front of me too, so I kept it quick and did not ask many questions. The space itself is also kind of dark and gloomy, but it is quiet if you want to sit and talk. Even though I ordered everything to go, it was not really acknowledged. When my food was ready, the owner actually came up and almost took my order away as if it was not mine. I had to stop him and point out each item line by line on my receipt to prove it was my order because he forgot. I understand food theft happens, but it made the whole interaction feel really awkward and uncomfortable. They also only give small brown paper sandwich bags for takeout, so if you have a bigger order, bring your own bag. Overall, I would come back for the food if I am craving Taiwanese street snacks, but skip the boba and definitely stick to takeout. read more

My first time trying bubble tea! I've wanted to try this for a while and got an opportunity today. A friend recommended this spot, so I decided to check it out. There were so many flavors and options to choose from! I tried the lychee and she got the peach aloe. Delicious! The texture of the bubbles was a new but enjoyable experience. Freaking amazing!!! I had the Oreo creme brulee milk tea with the tapioca boba. I walked in here on a whim after my bf dropped me off to actually pick up some dim sum before we drove back home to Indy. So glad I did!!! Delicious and rich, a dessert really. The tapioca balls were really warm so I'm assuming that's because they were fresh? But the drink cooled off and it was perfect!! read more

The place was pretty empty when we went, and they had many health and safety protocols implemented due to the pandemic - we felt very safe inside. I got a taro tea which was quite large, with plenty of boba. The taste of the tea itself wasn't the best, but I would definitely order it again. read more

After a busy day in Chinatown, Vivi Bubble Tea is a nice place to chill. My drink was very appetizing and fruity. Other than bubble tea and drinks they also serve some appetizers and dishes. Coming on a Saturday, they were really busy with many customers. This is a cozy spot to relax alone or hang out with friends. Their drinks are amazing and service is very proficient. read more

I've been coming here regularly for every bubble tea craving this past year and a half, and I haven't been disappointed with my experience. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, so I tend to get something different each time. Vivi's a great place to meet up with friends, go on a date, or even quietly do work in the corner when there's not a whole lot of chatty people around. There's plenty of space in the back to sit down and relax with a drink or two (or more). The last few times I went, I wanted to get the Blue Galaxy but failed. Because pretty colors... This time around though, I finally got to try it. It tastes as beautiful as it looks. Think lychee-citrus slushie, with a dusky sunset profile. Unfortunately, you can't add any bubbles or other toppings to this particular drink. Either way, worth it! Especially on a humid summer evening. Props, Vivi. My tastebuds are pleased. read more

I'd rather have a VW than a VV, especially from this location. On the outside and in terms of decor, it's not really much different to any of the other VV locations. Wonderful decor. In general, Vivi drinks are bland, and a little chemicaly - they haven't really blown me away at all. The cappuccino milk tea used to do it for me but it just tastes kind of chemical now. I don't really like the other things on the menu either but their decor and hanging out here is always really excellent, including this location. I'd usually give Vivi a 4 overall, but not here. The employees here acted like they didn't think much of me at all, which is the reason why I gave it at 3 instead of the usual 4. Mr. Wish across the street has infinitely better products, although the service there too is spotty too. You know what they say. VV come, VV go. read more
With so many bubble tea jawns popping up in Chinatown, Vivi is a go to favorite. They have an extensive menu and also offer a non milk tea for the lactose intolerant. I love the bright colors, ever changing front mural and the back lounge area. I like to bring my laptop and chew on some bubbles while I get some work done and people watch. Be adventurous and try a new flavor every time or stick with milk tea with bubbles. Either way, it's a refreshing drink in s cool spot. read more
Vivi is average. Nothing amazing but not bad, either. Out of all the places in Chinatown to go to, this is a mediocre option, and I could definitely recommend many better places. I've ordered several taro bubble teas at multiple different shops and the one at Vivi was by far the worst. It tasted like the actual taro root - not sweet, maybe a little plastic-y even? And definitely not like a dessert tea that we were hoping to get. However, the Thai milk tea with 70% sugar was absolutely perfect. Any sweeter and it would have been too sweet, in my opinion. I'd come here again just to order that drink. And the bubbles had a great texture. read more
Vivi - she stands across Tea Do, but Tea Do gets all the traffic and boba creds in Chinatown. NOT fair for Vivi tbh. Being real, Vivi needs some recognition and we should be giving it to her! Her mango yogurt drink w/ yogurt bubbles is bomb plus she has significantly more space than Tea Do. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, but try her out and give her the light of day. read more
Great service, quick, friendly staff. Busy busy. Venue is bigger than it looks, has a whole back section for additional seating. They also have food. Reasonably priced. Love the option to increase or decrease sugar as well ice. Will be back to try other things on the menu. Looked like they have a card for frequent goers. If you want to try everything, but leave your taste buds confused simultaneously, you should get the drink called 3Q. The black milk tea contains all three ingredients: herbal jelly, egg pudding, and tapioca balls. After trying multiple boba shops in Chinatown, I must say you should visit Vivi if you're into unique drinks and pairing them with a quick Asian snack. The Blue Galaxy is still my favorite. The tapioca balls seem less sugared or preserved in honey like other boba shops. read more
Good bubble tea place. Located right in the middle of Chinatown. You def see a cute pink theme in here. Lines are sometimes out the door. We loved the coffee, matcha and Thai tea flavors. Takoyaki is a must try. It comes out piping hot and great value for what you pay for. Staff here is really friendly and drinks come out really quickly.
