My coworker wanted a boba spot that had chai and I found Mr. Wish in the ChinaTown area. They looked popular with constant delivery services picking up drinks. A few small tables available inside. My coworker ordered a medium Chai Latte ($5.25) and I ordered a large Honey Lemon Green Tea ($6.50). I also got a Custard Waffle ($5.00) for us to share. I didn't get any toppings but my coworker complimented their boba and how fresh and chewy it is. I think it can be accredited to how busy they are so their boba is probably fresh. I really enjoyed my drink as well. It was light and refreshing. The custard waffle came with 4 pieces and shaped like a cute paw. It had a mochi like batter and the custard filling was a nice touch of sweetness without being too sweet. Yum! We were both hungry so it was a nice snack to sustain us until our next meal. The staff here was super friendly. I thought it was super sweet when the warned me that the waffles were hot and wrapped it with extra napkins so my hand doesn't get hurt. It was so thoughtful. The products are slightly above average, but it's the genuine service that inspired me to bump them up to 5 stars.
I'm from California where there is plenty of boba shops and this one is more aligned to Quickly's. The fruit tea does tastes like they use real fruit but the flavor is very watered down tasting that they probably don't use too much real fruit juice with their teas. The oolong tea was decent but the boba pearls were overcooked and mushy. Not very pleasant. Overall this was average and probably won't be back. I would definitely skip their boba pearls, not good. Service was fast and not really much of a line. More of a quick service place with a few seats.
The workers were not pleasant. They didn't even try to be nice. The cocoa milk tea had lumps of chocolate in it and it was nasty. There are seats but the tables are not wiped down.
Best boba I've ever had! The tapioca balls are made to perfection, never experienced anything like it. Plus the staff is so nice and the ambiance is a great place to meet up with friends or a cute date.
Second time to have boba. As my bff told me, you don't know boba until you try Mr. Wish. So true! I love the flavors, service, and ability to choose a level of sweetness. Some days you want the sugar to take an effect on your mood and others you just want to test the subtle flavors of the drink. Love Mr. Wish boba!
While eating next-door at DVR, the waiter lady came in with a mango smoothie. It looks good. I asked her if I could get one and she said it was next-door, I guess if you don't know this place is there you won't find it. Sitting back in a rundown shopping area of the plaza I could barely find it walking in the building. Once in there, I was greeted by a young very nice lady that went over some of the items they had and I have to say they were both great. I got the mango smoothie and my friend got the coffee milk tea.
I have not heard of Mr. Wish, but my cousin who lives in Philly recommended this since we don't have this in New Jersey. This is probably the best tapioca pearls I've had in bubble tea. Soft and chewy and big. The milk tea is better than most but I think the tea flavor is kind of weak, which I find pretty common for most bubble tea place.
Yeah I've never heard of this place before coming to the east coast, but I'd say that it's a strong competitor to Yi Fang for fruit tea. The Apple Tea was actually quite good. It had a super strong apple flavor, as if I was drinking straight up apple juice. Like freshly squeezed apple juice, not store-bought apple juice. In addition, the tea flavor was also pronounced. You can definitely tell that they're using real tea in here. Toppings were delightful. We got some rainbow jelly and they went well with the drink. There were real apple slices in the drink as well to add some texture and crunch. Only thing was I found the drink to be sour, but that's what you get when you're using real fruit. Maybe the apples could've been fresher? It was actually quite busy when I came, so the venue became a bit cramped inside. Tons of locals were here to order drinks, as well as a solid amount of white people (in Chinatown). If they've got the business of the locals, you know it's gonna be pretty good. Looking back, I would recommend Mr Wish for some quality fruit tea.

I got an orange grapefruit green tea, it was tasted like most grapefruit green tea from other bubble tea stores except for the topping of jelly for this specific drink cannot be changed. I wasn't a fan of the jelly but I wouldn't mind giving other drinks a try since they do have lots of options on their menu. The Tieguanyin (Oolong) soft serve is definitely a MUST try. It was very flavorful like you actually like the Oolong taste. It also went well with the bubbles. I would definitely come back just for the soft serve!
Favorite milk tea place because their milk tea actually has tea flavor! It's not too sweet and the boba is soft. The oolong soft serve with 3Q (egg pudding, lychee jelly, boba) is dangerous! Sooooo good! The tea flavor is very strong. I would get this all the time!
I tried their fruit tea but it was very regular. Nothing about it stood out to me. I think Yi Fang has better fruit tea. However, I'm obsessed with their oolong soft serve with boba! It's so perfect for a sunny day. They don't have it in every location so you might wanna check their individual location Facebook page for updates.

We love Mr. Wish & get drinks from here every time we're in Chinatown. Hot black milk tea for me, honey lemon green tea, lemon fruit sherbet and can't forget the custard waffle cake. A small but very pretty store in corner of 10th and Spring. The store has wallpaper of iconic Taiwanese buildings including Taipei 101z They have so many varieties of drinks. I got the orange green tea. Such tasty drink, could totally feel the orange in it. They also put orange pieces in it. Service is fast. Second time to have boba. As my bff told me, you don't know boba until you try Mr. Wish. So true! I love the flavors, service, and ability to choose a level of sweetness. It's a cute store and in Chinatown. There are so many boba stores, but Mr. Wish had such soft sweet bobas. It was like they had just finished making them! The service was okay, not fast. We are hooked on Mr. Wish now! read more

I tried to avoid this for the longest time just because I saw the first one start next to a more local place that was there before in the 69th St Hmart plaza that also did milkshakes, smoothies, and the like. But then, I saw a sign outside with oolong soft serve and a colorful looking dragon fruit drink and I was "sucked in." I enjoyed my treats. Customer service was friendly and efficient, and masking and barriers for the workers was very suitable. read more
We're late to the Black Tiger Milk Tea party, but wanted to try some anyway. Black Tiger Milk Tea is essentially just brown sugar milk tea with streaks of caramel that looks like tiger stripes. It was apparent that the only place that sells this was Mr. Wish in the Chinatown location. We called to place our orders and were told that for this specific drink, they follow a strict recipe and only serve it in one size (medium) and you can't make adjustments to the ice level, etc. Boooooooo. The Black Tiger Milk Tea ended up tasting delicious! The ratio of the bubbles, ice, and everything was spot on. My only wish is that they would offer them in bigger sizes! read more

I've been to this Mr. Wish location many times and it is a comfort spot for me. The boba teas are always delicious but I wanted to mention the service, especially on June 2nd around 6:30pm. I was introduced to the winter melon tea and absolutely loved it and recommended it to others. One person in my party ordered a L Winter Melon Tea, pearls with no ice. As we waited for our drinks, our one friend heard one of the employees in the back making a comment out loud about the drink. "Why did he order no ice? It's already a drink with water? Just order water." Then the employees chuckled. It made my friend really uncomfortable and he did not want to grab the drinks when it was ready. Though it may seem insignificant to them, we felt judged. I've been in customer service before and I seen requests that are definitely different than the ordinary. However, comments like this is really hurtful. We didn't confront them, but I wanted to have the courage and post about it, because things like these matters--especially if you do not know what's going on in other peoples' lives. I was impressed by the boba and found it to be really tasty, but the inside of the shop was quite dirty. I noticed that food canisters were placed directly on the dirty floors rather than on shelves (health code violation) and that the staff did not wash their hands with soap after changing out the garbage. There were also cockroaches running around on the walls and tables, and I had to inform the employees for them to notice since they were on their phones the entire time they were not making drinks. Obviously, roaches are a huge turnoff and cleanliness would keep me from coming back despite how good the boba was. read more

Every time I visit NJ or PA I try to get Mr Wish :) My go-to is the 3Q milk tea but I get 0% sugar because the 3 toppings make the drink really sweet already. The fiber jelly drink was good too read more
The boba here is excellent the tea flavored ice cream was also very good. The order took a bit of time to come out but it was well worth the wait. The shop was still crowded on a rainy day, just a testament to its popularity. Highly suggest a stop in and definitely will come back! read more

Skip the taro drink they keep advertising. It's nothing but a solid steamed block of taro with cow's milk poured on top. And then they charge you $8!!!! It's nothing special. Photo attached. Stick to the other drinks.... read more

It can be overwhelming to pick the "perfect" boba place in Chinatown. I don't think there is such place since every place is similar in price (expect $4 a drink) and taste. It was my first time here. I got the Wish special fruit tea with 60% less sugar. It was refreshing and different from the usual boba places. There were pieces of fruit. However, it was a little too tart for my taste...it seemed like there was too much lemon. I'll have to try a different fruit tea next time. Overall a solid place for refreshing fruit tea. Tip: Place does accept credit cards without minimum purchase. read more
We love Mr. Wish and wish they had more locations on the west coast. We were walking past Chinatown and popped in for drinks and to warm up a bit. However, they were not offering indoor seating (as of mid-April). It's understandable and didn't deter us from ordering our treats. The lychee sunset is very good and I wish it was on the menu permanently rather than seasonally - but I suppose that's what makes it even more special. read more
This is the first time I've ever had bubble tea this fresh. Maybe it's because I got there at open? Either way I had to hang out for ten minutes while they made them and it was so worth it. It might have been the best bubble tea experience I've had thus far. read more
Oolong soft serve mixed well with the boba. The boba was very soft and tasty. Oolong milk tea had a natural tea flavor. Waffle cake was alright, i do not think I would get it again. I will be back if I'm in the neighborhood! read more
Thank goodness Mr. Wish doesn't live nearby cause I would visit him each and every day for a tea fix! I dont even like tea like that. I mostly just drink it hot during a detox but this was like a new discovery for me, it was deliciously refreshing. So I came to Mr. Wish on a Chinatown tour. I discovered that in China, tea is mostly use for medicinal benefits, its like a ritual and in the 80's- bubble tea was created! We went inside and it was very colorful. They have an area where you can sit and use their wifi. On the menu they have a variety of different kinds of teas from sparkling boba to milk teas to smoothies. I decided to try their mango diced fruit tea. If you enjoy fruit, you would like this cause I fell in love. Its refreshing. You can taste every bit of the mango and with every sip you enjoy nice size pieces of mango. It's a wonderful experience. It was so good that after the tour a couple of us went back and this time I tried the peach tea. Mr Wish thank you for coming to Chinatown! read more
