Sharetea is a chain, so I expected a pretty generic taste, but I was pleasantly surprised. I like that this location feels a bit more individual, though I think I may have ordered the wrong drink. I got the grapefruit Earl Grey seasonal drink with aloe. The first sip was refreshing with the grapefruit flavor, but the Earl Grey and bergamot quickly took over and became incredibly strong. It ended up tasting a little too bitter, yet also a bit too sweet, even though I ordered it with half sugar. The shop was a little messy, though I couldn't tell if that was because of the Halloween decorations. There's a self-service ordering kiosk at the front, and the staff were fast and friendly. The space is brightly lit with a cute backdrop for taking pictures with your drink. I'm definitely coming back to try a different flavor. If the Earl Grey is this bold, I'm curious to see how their other teas compare. read more

Let me preface by saying that when I rate bubble tea places, I usually compare them in relation to Kung Fu Tea because Kung Fu Tea's bubble tea isn't the best but it isn't the worst. It's not my go to spot but it's always a safe option when that boba craving hits. And they have a good variety when it comes to milky and fruiter options. For additional context, I usually prefer fruit teas and adjust the sugar level (typically one level below 100% sweetness.). After trying a handful of their drinks, I would rank Sharetea as being around the same level as Kung Fu Tea. Overall, the drinks are similarly artificial with no distinct tea or fresh fruit flavor. The drinks at Sharetea are also too sweet even with an adjustment to the sugar level; even after reducing the sugar level to 80% or 50%, the drink is sometimes still too sweet. Additionally, the pearls are mediocre at best because they lack flavor and sometimes aren't fully cooked. Drink Ordered: * worth trying - [Wintermelon Lemonade with 50% Sweetness]: I didn't personally like this. The wintermelon flavor tasted a bit off. - [Passionfruit, Orange, and Grapefruit Tea with Pearls and 50% Sweetness]: Even with the sugar adjustment, I thought this was too sweet. The flavor of the drink is similar to the German Shepard, which I would choose over this drink. - [Lime Mojito with 80% Sweetness*]: My favorite drink here. Some may say the drink is too sour with the sugar adjustment but I think it's just right. -[Mango Mojito with 80% Sweetness]: Too sweet. It might taste better if I lower the sugar level further but it still isn't as good as the Lime Mojito. -[Golden Retriever with Black Tea and 80% Sweetness*]: Part of the Chubby Puppies Series. This is a milk tea with pearls, mini pearls, pudding, herb jelly, and lychee jelly. Be prepared for the large amount of toppings. -[German Shepard with 80% Sweetness*]: Part of the Chubby Puppies Series. This is a grapefruit green tea with pearls, mini pearls, aiyu jelly, aloe vera, and lychee jelly. This is probably my second go to drink. Be prepared for the large amount of toppings. I've had some of the other drinks like the Honey Lemonade with Aloe Vera and Thai Tea Ice Blended with Pearl but I felt like they were too unmemorable to mention in the list above. Would I go back? : Yes but it's mainly out of convenience. Sharetea is not my top choice when it comes to bubble tea but it's proximity to where I live, the Asian grocery store I frequent, and Ba Le make this a bubble tea place I usually find myself at. Also, certain drinks that they have like the Lime Mojito and the German Shepard and Golden Retriever give Sharetea that extra edge that results in me choosing Sharetea over Kung Fu Tea every time. read more

I was here when they first opened and thought their drinks (black milk tea and some type of ice blend drink) were way too sweet. Came here recently again and ordered a Thai tea with boba and taro with boba and it's safe to say I won't be coming back. I'm not sure if I'm just used to the fresher tasting drinks at Chicha San Chen and Mr. Wish but both drinks at Sharetea had a really off artificial aftertaste. This review is more like 3-1/2 stars. It's nice to have another bubble tea option in South Philly. In this shopping center you have the option of Sharetea, and KungFu Tea. Both places offer pretty much the similar options. The only difference is that Sharetea only offers one size, I think 16 ounce size. Soft opening on 10/1 ! There is plenty of room for seating if you want to sit in to enjoy your drinks. There is social distancing signs and stickers on the floor for people waiting in line to order. The pricing on the menu looks like it's for a standard large sized bubble tea aside from the mojito drinks. The mojito drinks are your standard medium (kind of wish they tell us what sizes they are, but its not a big deal). They allowed substitutions to toppings. I got three drinks-- Okinawa pearl milk tea, kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly, and Hawaii fruit tea with aiyu jelly. They are pretty good for the area. I asked for 80% sugar, but it was still very sweet. I'll try them next time at 50%. Remember to shake the drinks a little before drinking. The syrup of the fruit tea was at the bottom of my drink. I will definitely come back to try more drinks though. The best part about this place is that they have a parking lot in the front if you are lucky ! read more

I was blown away by (and appreciative of) just the cleanliness, interior and decorations! The service was friendly - answering all my obnoxious questions! Finally, the verdict on the bubble tea! Ordered the brown sugar bubble tea and classic taro milk tea. The brown sugar one comes only in one cute size, but is slightly more expensive than the normal drinks which come in bigger sizes. Because it is a smaller cup, you should request as little ice as possible! It is worth it though due to the taste, not too sweet yet still had flavor! This spot is located in the shopping plaza on Washington Ave (yay for places with parking, especially in South Philly!). Each tea was robust in its flavor and creamy, as far as the milk tea goes. The staff is unbelievably friendly. I love how patient they were when all my friends weren't sure what to get. They were patient to explain each drink and gave perfect recommendations. They did mess up my order on both occasions, but to be fair, I changed up my orders than the original so I can't even be mad. I got the tiger milk tea which has brown sugar and the boba is soaked in brown sugar. The boba itself was delicious and so soft. I have a sweet tooth and was craving something sweet and this satisfied the craving! I got light ice and 100% sweetness and it was perfect. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Their mojitos are SO GOOD. Their peach mojito is the best. Another great drink is the mango and passion fruit tea. I get their mojitos with 100% sugar but the mango and passion fruit is a bit sweet. I would suggest getting 0% sugar for that. So far we have not yet have any problems with our order. When we place a large order of 10+ drinks, they're actually happy to service us, unlike other tea spots in the Philly area. This has become our go-to tea spot every time we visit Philly! read more

The coffee came out strong, almost like Vietnamese coffee. I also got the Pearl Milk Tea and Mango Green Tea as a freebie. The Pearl Milk Tea was your typical milk tea you get at any other bubble tea store. The mango in the green tea was some puree that tasted really sweet and not really for me. Three friends and I were visiting Philly for the day and came to Sharetea after a delicious lunch at Sky Cafe (make sure to visit for some bomb Indonesian food)! I ordered a Hokkaido pearl milk tea (caramel toffee). Sidenote, I wish I could have tried one of the mojitos with boba but this isn't able to be done. My friends ordered a coffee milk tea, a homemade taro fresh milk tea, and an oreo milk tea. Although we were told our milk tea would be sweet (some of us ordered milk teas with less sweetness), they were a lot less sweet than I've had at other places. Apparently the milk teas are made with non-dairy creamer (at least mine was, which was what I wanted) but it had a strange, artificial sweetened aftertaste. I was told the Hokkaido milk tea's sweetness level wasn't able to be adjusted because it's already sweet, but it was super underwhelming. My friend's taro milk tea tasted like this Indian dessert called ras malai and didn't taste like taro at all, although the flavor and fresh milk did taste quite good. The oreo milk tea was probably the sweetest thing, but my friend didn't really enjoy it. The boba in some of our drinks was good. Overall, we were inconsistently satisfied and the menu was confusing. I hope one day I can return and try some other drinks! read more
