    Musette, Fairmont.

I happened upon Musette a few months back and whenever I'm in the Fairmont area, like today, I drop in for a cup of java. In looking at other reviews, I tend to agree that it's a really nice cafe, with great seating outside and in, good coffee, and always friendly service. Love it!

I stopped by during my afternoon walk to get a little something to warm up my hands. This looks like a popular work/study spot. It was nice and quiet. There was plenty of seating, and several people focused on their computers. I got a cardamom latte, which was good. After seeing all of the food photos, I wish I would have gotten a snack too! The staff were friendly. It was clean. Great experience.

Delightful experience. Super cute cafe with super nice workers! The coffee was delicious and it was the perfect atmosphere for a little Sunday date.

One of the cutest cafes in the Fairmount area. It has incredibly comfy vibes with huge windows & plants surrounding the front area. There are 2 large and 2 smaller tables in the front and a couple smaller ones in the back which has less natural lighting. I personally enjoyed sitting right by the window to soak up the sun. Overall, a smaller cafe that was packed on a Saturday afternoon. I came here to do some work on my laptop. I wouldn't necessarily say it was the best environment as there was a lot of chatter with music in the background. However, I definitely imagine it would be a good place on the weekday. Of note, I didn't see any free wifi. I got an iced vanilla latte which was delicious. The beans were fragrant and there was a nutty taste. Not super sweet or strong of vanilla which I preferred. Highly recommend this spot!

Staff was very kind and helped me decide which sandwich. The brioche bread on the sandwich is incredible. The egg was a bit bland but a good portion. The coffee is fine, a bit over priced in my opinion but I enjoyed stopping here. It's relaxed inside, lots of places to sit.

TooGoodToGo order that was all bread. Hoping for more of a variety as all bagels places give bread too but just the types are not so "exotic ". The other food looms reasonably good for the neighborhood. Great place to visit if in the area. Very friendly staff and on-point. Warm setting and decorated sufficiently to make an old rowhome a warm place you want to visit instead.

I have visited this cafe a few times now and never had a bad experience. This time around I got the avocado toast and cafe au lait. I'm not the biggest fan of their coffee (I suggest the chai instead) but my toast was delicious. The bread was thick and hearty and they were very generous with the mashed avocado, plus the drizzle of olive oil on top gave it a nice extra richness. As far as service goes, you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Never encountered any problems there. The ambiance is welcoming, with lots of plants and sunlight. All in all I'm a big fan of Musette and if I lived in Philly would come more often.

Thanks to Musette, I now know what a tartine is. I LOVE how it doesn't just taste like random breakfast fare thrown on top of toast. It's got the vibe of a brunch restaurant with the casual setup of a cafe -- like you can just order and take a seat. The smoked salmon tartine I had came with this creamy spread, fennel, and capers. It tasted like the ingredients were purposefully paired together to complement each other's flavors, and I suspect the rest of the tartines are like that too. They have mad tartine literature hanging around the shop. I didn't have any of the sweets, so I can't comment on those. I wish I lived closer!

Honestly was just alright. The place was very very crowded which is to be expected on a Sunday but the back section was just their storage instead of tables. The coffee was very mid, burnt tasting as well. I left feeling more stressed than when I came in. Pricing was comparable to others in the area. Will try again, maybe I came on an off day.

Cute little coffee shop tucked away in some local streets. Exactly what we needed walking back to the trolley. I ordered a cappuccino with extra espresso. Solid choice. Service was good. Crowded while waiting for coffee, but worth it.

Musette is the perfect cafe to spend a Saturday morning at with a good book. The cafe is small with tons of plants and natural light. It feels like a green house. The cafe has a good amount of seating but it gets packed if you don't come early enough. The coffee was really pleasant! I enjoyed it a lot. The food was good too! I ordered the shakshuka which was very chili flavor heavy. The egg served was a fried egg. I also got a salad that came with trout, green beans, and a soft boiled egg. It was a delicious salad! I wouldn't never have thought to pair those salad ingredients together but it worked well with the dressing! I was impressed by the salad. The food is pricey for what you're getting. My total bill was $50 for 2 coffees and dishes. Kinda steep for a cafe but it's fine since I was able to catch up with friends :) I wanna come back and have a slow Saturday here!

Food was good and quick. The Latte was amazing. Cute little corner cafe in a quiet neighborhood. We came for Sunday morning breakfast. Order at the counter and they will bring your food out. Very impressed with the coffee. Small menu but good choices.

Not tough but a nice, soft seeded sub roll. Seeing it arrive was a little overwhelming but I kinda thought the thing was light and was easy to finish off 1/2. The Fig and Pig - the fig jam was outstanding. Great sweetness with the saltiness from the prosciutto and then to top it off, the crunch of the cutlets. Excellent. As I was leaving, I saw a cutlet, with mutz, broccoli rabe, and roasted red peppers. I WILL be back for that. That looked amazing. Service was very friendly, prompt. I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

Turkey was tender, bread (ciabatta I think?) held together fine even though the sandwich was pretty loaded. Definitely a lean-over-the-plate kind of sandwich, got some chutney on my fingers, but that's kind of expected with a sandwich like this I guess. Also got one of the latke hash browns on the side and that thing didn't last long at all - crispy outside, soft in the middle, I finished it before I was even halfway through my sandwich. Might've been the better item honestly, don't tell the sandwich that.

If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!
