My husband and I came here on a whim when visiting Philly and OH MY GOSH! We had the short rib grilled cheese and korean chicken sandwich and they were..... AMAZING. We went on and on about how good they were for days. Philly is known for its sandwiches and this place is in those ranks. We got our sandwiches to go and walked a block up to Rittenhouse Square to eat them on a lovely day. It was great. read more

Holy Sandwich! This place was a nice little dinner break while on a work trip, fresh food, good little seating area and the staff were helpful in narrowing down what I ordered. Looking forward to my next trip to philly to try another Huda masterpiece! read more

Huda - KOREAN CHICKEN SANDWICH - Sandwiches Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The brisket sandwich was good with good flavor, but could have used more meet. It was mostly the onion straws and onions and cheese. The person who took my order was very friendly and helped me decide between which sandwiches to get. The restaurant is small but there's enough seating for its patrons. The French fries were excellent, perfect crisp and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the Huda sauce read more

The spicy chicken sandwich only had a mild kick but was delicious nevertheless! The chicken was crispy and juicy. Ordering at the kiosk was easy. The shop was small but had character. Really loved the decor - felt more like a hip coffee shop. Service was pleasant. read more

I have been craving cinnamon rolls! I searched Yelp for a location close by me to purchase some cinnamon rolls. Huda was selected as the place for me to try this time! It's super cute and small. I walked in and saw cinnamon rolls lined up on the counter and I was full of glee. I purchased a cinnamon "milk" bun. It is absolutely delicious and Huda has gained a repeat customer. read more

Huda - Korean BBq chicken with a side of pickles. - Sandwiches Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This part of Philly is rife with chain businesses that you can find just about anywhere (and definitely in Brooklyn). We were looking for more local flavor, and Huda has that in spades. This bright, welcoming, open air sandwich shop is staffed by great guys offering great service, and a tight menu with tasty treats. We opted for the shortrib grilled cheese, the Korean fried chicken sandwich, and some chicken fingers and fries for the tiny people I have to drag everywhere since my wife squeezed them out. The sandwiches have - if I'm nitpicking (and I am) - some very slight construction issues (not enough bun for the chicken, and the grilled cheese is too bready and overtoasted for my ideal), but the flavors are BANGIN'. I was not sad in the least about either choice, and we devoured every last bite. The chicken fingers are excellent as are the fries, although they did have a couple scallions which I appreciated, but made my four year old scream bloody murder and embarrassed us all thoroughly. Anyway, this is a great spot, and shout out to the sweethearts behind the counter who let us use their bathroom and served us with a smile. read more

Small shop with limited seating but delicious sandwiches! We stopped by for late lunch and ordered the spicy chicken and chicken parm. Both were really good. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and tender. The milk bread was so soft and pillowy. Although, the sandwich became very messy to eat very quickly as the soft bread lost its structural integrity. Overall I'd 100% come back for another sandwich. read more

We stopped into Huda for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and had a phenomenal meal. My toddler grabbed one of the cinnamon rolls at the register and it was excellent. I was able to sneak a few bites, but he otherwise ate the whole thing. I ordered the chicken burger which was excellent with the carmelized onions and pickles. Others in my party ordered the hot chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets and fries. We really enjoyed everything and the sandwiches were large enough to take home leftovers. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and I enjoyed dining in, though saw lots of takeout orders. Would very happily return! read more

This is now the second time in the last couple months I have had this place and both times the food has been very salty

I tried the smash burger and it was messy but delicious! The pickled green tomatoes and milk bun really took this to the next level. I wish there was a bit less special sauce because i needed a bunch of napkins, but no sweat. Next time ill order the sauce on the side. Great burger, but be warned- food coma setting in! read more

Small sandwich/burger joint in center city. Was passing by and just wanted something quick for dinner. I was feeling like chicken, so I went for their grilled chicken burger. Perhaps that was not the right choice honestly. Should have just gone for their recommendation of the spicy chicken sandwich. Anyway I got what I got and the grilled chicken patty was just a salt bomb. Flavor was okay but just way too salty. I definitely needed to hydrate after that. If I'm craving a burger and I'm passing by, I might try this place again. read more

Huda has long been on my list of newer restaurants to check out. Amongst the many burger joints around the city, there aren't many that offer an elite smash burger. Huda seeks to change that narrative. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is tucked away in a small location on 18th Street. It's quite easy to miss in the shadow of the larger Continental restaurant nearby. Despite there being only a handful of tables, I had no trouble finding a seat. Service was average at best as evidenced by the overflowing trash can which needed attention the entirety of my visit. The didn't take much away from the experience. FOOD The burger was tremendous! Juicy! Well-Seasoned! All on an incredibly soft potato bun! I enjoyed a salad as well but the burger is the main attraction at a place such as this(10/10). I didn't try the fries which is quite unusual by own standards but the smash burger trumped all of my expectations. Happy eats! read more

Great local business sandwich shop that is perfect for lunch close to market street. I did find the smash burgers a little too salty but overall it's solid. Would go back read more

Walking around Center City and urge for a good burger suddenly hit me. Friends had mentioned their smash burger before so I thought I'd try out Huda. LOVED everything about this place. Of course you walk in and they are playing some classic songs that are right up my alley. Don't think I've ever tried a burger with a milk bun before but this was a real treat. Well seasoned, cheesy, and smothered in a rich tangy sauce. Excellent. I'm trying to stay discipline with my diet (but the Eagles are going to the Super Bowl) so I tossed in one of the Apple covered Cinnabons. It was other worldly. Best of all not too sweet and bursting with goodness. Staff behind the counter were also great to chat with. Very clean establishment. Can't wait to try some of the other menu items. read more

Nestled on 18th, Huda makes for a great corporate lunch spot or site to pang that chicken sandwich craving. The house-made milk bun was delicious and I enjoyed their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Being nitpicky, I would've personally liked it a bit spicier, but it was still very flavorful. There is the Nashville Hot alternative option as well, which I may try the next time to get the extra kick. I think there's just a tad bit too much sauce, but it was still a great meal. Fries were also crispy and seasoned well, and I appreciated the varied selection of sauces. You'll get a sizeable portion for your order, particularly for the fries. The folks working were also helpful in sauce suggestions and delivering the food to our tables directly. Overall, a great casual bite spot! read more

came here a few months back... i think it was probably a holiday or something like that since a lot of places in the area were closed, with Huda being one of the few places open i really only got one thing here , which was the spicy chicken sandwich. i thought it was overall pretty good. i chose to dine in and though the space is small, you can technically sit here, though i'm guessing most people get stuff to go. nothing more of note to eat, i'd definitely come back read more

I loved the crispy maitake sandwich and the fact that there's a sink station for hand-washing! You'll need it! The sandwiches are greasy, have sauces (mostly mayo-based), and all fall apart at some point -- lean in to the mess and just scrub up afterward. A couple of knocks: it would be nice to have more than one meatless option, the sandwiches were all very salty, and the beverage selection is limited to some really gross canned "performance" tea, soda, or water. Iced or hot teas would be a great addition! read more

I was so excited to try this place because I had seen all the great reviews - I got a cheeseburger, fries and the cinnamon bun. The cheeseburger was SEVERELY over salted. Like I couldn't even finish it - that over salted (which is crazy because I love salt). For a burger that costs $13, I expect more. The fries were great, had a lovely little seasoning on it that made it really unique. But the real star, that cinnamon bun!! I could not believe the quality of this bun - it was so moist and the cream cheese frosting with the berry sauce was the perfect counter balance. If I ever come back here, it's strictly for that cinnamon bun. read more

In the mood for a good burger to enjoy via take-out, I came upon Huda here on Yelp and decided to give it a try based on the reviews I read. I ordered the oft-mentioned smashburger from their menu with a side of fries. Upon entering the establishment, which was comfortable, clean, and inviting, I was greeted by a friendly face and provided with my order immediately. The burger was delicious, but unfortunately the fries were very salty and not enjoyable in the least. Based on my experience, I'd definitely give Huda another go, only next time sans fries. read more

Chose this place because coworkers wanted to hang out and it had good reviews. I had the swordfish and the fish itself was fine and the toppings themselves were fine. I didn't feel like they fit great together. It felt like a sandwich I might make at home myself and be happy with. Was I in an odd mood yesterday? Not sure. I liked the healthy option and didn't want a salad. One of my colleagues didn't like the sweetness touch to one of the burgers. The other colleague had it and didn't mind it but didn't seem to be enjoying it either. They liked fries and I didn't have any as I am trying to hold back more. I would consider a burger here personally but not going out of my way for this. Staff is friendly. #ThankYouThursday read more

Was hungry for a burg and saw Huda nearby. Stopped in and tried the brisket burger ordered to go. Inside is pretty small just a few small tables. Perfectly tender and melt in your mouth. And the milk bun was nice and fluffy. Glad to try this spot, thanks. read more

Ordered on Uber eats and wow was I impressed. I love smash burgers, and Huda got it perfectly right. The patties were thin and flavorful. I added bacon, lettuce, bbq sauce, and ketchup. Different Cheesesteak #1166. Short Rib Grilled Cheese, $17.55. If you follow me you know $17.55 equals 3 Biggie Bags from Wendy's. This is a small sandwich. I was very sad when I saw it. But Holy Mackerel, It had a big flavor. I hate myself for how much I liked it. Nice young man working the counter. He brought my food out to me because I may have been illegally parked. The Short Rib may have gotten lost in all other flavors. It came with a wet nap. Total Class!! read more

I wanted to update my experience. Yes, still the best sandwich place in Philadelphia. A couple of weeks ago, I was waiting (not long) for an order, and I saw a few ladies looking a bit confused about whether to eat in and how the place worked. I gave them some quick tips (not hard) and told them it was hands down the best sandwich place in Philadelphia. While they ordered and ate inside, I proceeded to eat my sandwich at one of the few sidewalk-side tables (very nice on a sunny day). Afterward I asked them how they liked their meal. They agreed the sandwiches were great - so hopefully they will be back. I know I will. read more

FOOD Huda is a small and modern sandwich shop located at the heart of Rittenhouse. We came in around 11am shortly after opening and ordered the smash burger, spicy chicken sandwich, and sweet milk bun. The smash burger was seasoned simply to perfection. The cheese was melted between the patties, and the caramelized onions complemented the saltiness of the sandwich with a hint of sweetness. The spicy chicken sandwich wasn't very spicy, but it was fried to a perfect crisp. The arugula, bell peppers, and jalapeños offered a freshness and a nice crunch. Finally, the sweet milk bun was light and fluffy, not too sweet, and the berries added tartness to contrast the sweetness of the dessert. DRINKS Assorted beverages are available in a refrigerator by the front. SERVICE The staff are friendly and kind. They talked to us about how we liked our order and what they recommended. AMBIANCE You order by tablet right at the front door and pick up your items at the counter in the back. Limited seating is available both inside and outside (~2 tables for two outside, ~4 tables for two inside). PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. read more

Stopped by for one of our usual cravings recently, and ordered the BLT and the brisket, one of my favorites, and a side of fries, all of it to-go! The person who served us was friendly, and our food was out pretty quickly. It's a bonus that we're so close to Rittenhouse Square to enjoy it out in the park while it's still nice out. I haven't eaten in at HUDA yet, but I'd be down to do so! Only thing is that the space probably can't accommodate large parties. read more

I've been to Huda twice and both times I've gotten the smash burger. Overall I do think it's a really great burger but both times it has been veryyyy salty. I don't know if they just over-salt the patty or if the addition of the pickled green tomatoes makes it a bit overwhelming but it definitely requires a lot of water to accompany it lol. But overall still a very tasty sandwich, the homemade bun is great. Would definitely come back to try other sandwiches, prices are on the steeper end but understandable as a small business read more

Huda is a great stop for fun sandwiches in Philly! They're known for crafting different sandwiches on their fluffy milk buns that are similar to Hawaiian rolls. They also have limited veggie options. *FOOD* - Short Rib Grilled Cheese. This was melt-in-your-mouth good. The short rib was super tender which paired well with the grilled cheese. - Spicy Chicken. This was tasty as well. Chicken was tender, however I really enjoyed the grilled cheese better than the chicken sandwich since it felt more unique. *SERVICE* This place is more of a fast casual restaurant. It has a self-order kiosk when you walk in, except it wasn't working so we just ordered at the cashier where they then call you when your order is ready. *AMBIANCE* There are several tables indoors and when the weather's nicer, a couple tables outside. There's also a water station but I didn't see any bathrooms. The only drawback is that it's on the pricier side where sandwiches can average around $15 a piece. It doesn't come with sides or drinks, and the sandwiches are on the smaller side, so you might not feel full after one sandwich. Worth trying on occasion! read more
