The burgers here are delicious! Cooked to perfection and the buns add a touch of sweetness that compliments the meat so perfectly. I ate inside Huda and they offer a handwashing station which was genius. No greasy hands after eating here! Knocking one star off for the price as it is on the pricier side. read more

I tried Huda for the first time for lunch on a weekday. I ordered using the touchscreen by the front door but you could also order with the employee at the counter. I ordered the swordfish sandwich. My friend and I got a table by the window and ate in - it's not a huge place but it's cute, there were maybe 5 tables of 2 inside and it was packed by the time we left! My sandwich was a good size - I was full without ordering any other sides. It was pretty saucy (many napkins needed) but the flavors weee tasty. read more

Came back a second time and got the spicy chicken sandwich. I was amazed once again by the texture and freshness of the milk buns!! The best vehicle for fried chicken, in my opinion. :) If you're debating on whether or not to order the shoe string fries, order them. They complete the meal! They're crispy and perfectly salty. The addition of spring onions also adds nice flavor! I wanted to try the grilled swordfish sandwich, but they sold out by the time I ordered (around 1PM). read more

Service: I ordered delivery via a third-party app. I appreciated that my delivery came shortly after in secure packaging and containers. Food: I got the Grilled Romaine Salad, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and a side of Fries. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the order was the Salad; it was a big portion that came with a heaping serving of fresh broccoli, tomatoes, and dressing. The Chicken Sandwich came with a really fluffy bun and was delicious. Tips: If you're a salad person, order the Grilled Romaine or one of their other options! read more

For the past few days I've been eating my way around Rittenhouse Square and the Huda-style smash burger is the first thing I've put in my mouth that made me go "whoa." The balance between the beef patty, tangy sauce, onions, cheese and -drumroll please- those pickled green tomatoes was spot on. I'll admit, usually I'm usually one to turn my nose up at a thicker burger and, while I'd still maintain that this patty was more squished than smashed, the patty to rest of burger ratio was very satisfying. Did I mention those pickled green tomatoes? Prices seemed on the high side for this area but I do think that the ingredient quality mostly justifies it. Better beef would knock this thing into the stratosphere! read more

I'm a big sandwich fiend, so Huda brings a creative quality that I love. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese. Made on toasted milk bread, this sandwich was as decadent as it sounds. Soft cheese, flavorful short rib, and a particularly interesting peach mustard (right...what?!) for a savory/sweet mix. The staff was friendly, talking me through their menu favorites patiently before I ordered. I'll be back soon for the Smash Burger, Korean Chicken, and Spicy Chicken sandwiches. Outstanding for lunch! read more

The sandwiches are great. I am a broke social worker and really can't afford each sandwich -NO sides, at $19.50 after tip and tax for a pick up order, and realized there was already a 6% service fee added to that too. It's just too much for one bun size sandwich without any sides. I was still hungry and had to make extra food. Great tasting but too rich for my wallet :( read more

I'm back to work in the office 3 days a week and have discovered that many of my favorite lunch spots are now closed. Looking to add a new lunch spot to my rotation I tried Huda. It's less than a block away from the office and wasn't there pre-pandemic. My first lunch order was the short rib grilled cheese and the cinnamon bun. The sandwich was a perfectly made grilled cheese. The meat was cooked perfectly, there was the correct cheese to meat ratio, and the bread was the right thickness and had the right crunch of the grill. An awesome sandwich. The cinnamon bun has a mascarpone icing with concord grape. I was wary of the concord grape, but it goes perfectly with the icing! I devoured what was one of the best cinnamon buns I have ever had and licked my fingers clean. I was so happy with my first lunch that I went back the next day. This time I ordered the Smash burger with fries. The burger is smashed and comes on a thick milk bun. I was thinking the meat to bun ratio was way off, but once again Huda knows better than me and I was wrong! The bun is so soft that it goes perfect with the burger. The burger makes up for not being as juicy as thicker burgers by being so well seasoned and good quality meat. And the fries... wow... they are now my new favorite fries in the area since McDonald's is closed. Like everything else they are perfectly cooked and seasoned. Huda is a 5 star lunch destination. It's a bit more expensive than I would like, but for food this good I will be back many times. Service is friendly and although I ordered take out there are tables inside. I'll be a regular at Huda. read more

I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich and the cinnamon milk bun! The chicken sandwich was pretty tasty & actually had a kick to it, but overall I think it was a bit too heavy for me and it was a bit in the dryer side. The cinnamon milk bun was definitely the star of the show in my opinion though!! When I ordered it, it had Concord grape on top which I would never think would go with a cinnamon bun but it tasted amazing! The icing wasn't overly sweet either which I appreciated. Overall, I felt that everything was definitely more on the expensive side and I probably wouldn't come here regularly, but it's good to try (especially the cinnamon milk buns) and I would give another menu item another shot! read more

I got the short rib grilled cheese and thought it was really delicious, especially with the jam. I will say it's quite pricy for the size of the sandwich ($17) so don't come super hungry. I also shared fries with Huda sauce (basically thousand island sauce) and those were solid. Not great value overall ($40 for two burgers and fries) but a nice treat near Rittenhouse. read more

I ordered delivery. The burger was juicy, crisp on the bite. And the milk bun was soft, chewy, and fresh. The grilled romaine salad had lots of texture and. unique contrasting flavors. Though the leaves we slightly wilty. Hard to argue with that ordering a salad delivery. Even EMP would have trouble delivery lettuce. read more

First time here, and the food was as good as people say! Outstanding! Spicy Chicken was amazing and will fill you for the day!

Got takeout here and mostly enjoyed it. Food is definitely on the heavier side (although it is a burger joint, so no huge surprise there!). I enjoyed the brisket burger more than the fried chicken, which was a surprise. They have a great horseradish sauce, which was surprising and really refreshing! I believe the Huda sauce has horseradish as well. The fried chicken sandwich was absolutely drenched and dripping with sauce--pretty messy, and definitely contributed to the heaviness of the meal. Fries were well portioned but on the salty side. I'd say food wise a definite alternative to fast food places like shake shack (at similar price point) for more variety than a typical burger place. But there is some fine tuning to do regarding flavors. Got takeout here and service was quick and without issue. I thought it was a little strange that the place was empty at dinner time (although it was a week night). It looked like a LOT of take out and delivery options. If ordering pickup make sure to order through their own website rather than on a third party site, prices are much lower. It was extremely quiet (no other customers) when I went at 6 on a Tuesday. It may be busier at other times. It's certainly a cute interior and a very happening street. Thumbs up in general for the concept, although the menu could use some flavor adjustment. I would like to come back and try the regular smash burgers. read more

If you want a quick, affordable but delicious bite to eat while you're walking around Rittenhouse, Huda is the place to go! We got the spicy Korean chicken and fried chicken sandwich and both were truly so good! Service was fast and we were able to get our food within 10 minutes. I think my favorite part was the pickled peppers in my sandwich- they elevated the sandwich beyond your classic fried chicken sandwich. read more

What I'd call an "artisanal sandwich shop!" The menu had a few eclectic specialty sandwiches/burgers. Each sandwich will run you back $13-$15. I went for the Smash burger to settle a craving and my bf went for the Korean chicken sandwich. The smash burger patty was incredibly well-seasoned and tasted just right on the milk bun. While it wasn't the best burger I've had, it was a solid spot and intro in the neighborhood. Would definitely visit again to try their new options! read more

I came to Huda for a quick to go order and the food came out pretty fast. I was the only one in the restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon. However even though I was the only one in the restaurant the server seemed very rushed and somewhat annoyed when I ordered. There is very limited seating (around 4 two seat tables) and no public restrooms so take out is recommended. The food fell flat for us which was disappointing as the reviews on this restaurant were good. We got the maitake mushroom sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich. Both were only ok and the most prominent flavors were salt. I was also really excited for the cinnamon roll as all the pictures looked so fluffy. However ours was more dense and flat, very different than what was advertised. I want to try the cinnamon roll again the future but would pass on the sandwiches. read more

Bold but extremely well-balanced savory, spicy, sour (i.e., pickled) deliciousness on a fluffy, mildly sweet Japanese milk bun. I'm slowly developing a gluten-intolerance, but these divine sandwiches were worth it!! -- spicy Korean fried chicken -- perfect (and very traditional) use of spicy Korean gochujang paste (fermented red chili paste) with paper- thin slices of sweet vinegary pickled turnip to off-set the heat. The milk bun soaks up the juices and adds another mild sweet counter-note to the spicy chicken. -- brisket -- generous, juicy slices of brisket (not too thick or thin) with crunchy fried onion bits and what tasted like homemade butter pickles. The pickles cut through the richness of the unctuous brisket. -- short rib grilled cheese -- almost too much rich cheesy meaty goodness. This one could have used a bit more balance. The peach mustard needed a bit more of a spicy brown mustard kick, maybe even wasabi as an homage to the Japanese milk bun? Will definitely be back... the Mott cheeseburger (5 gooey cheeses, caramelized onions, pickled chilis, sweet spicy chili sauce) is calling my name!! read more

Came here because the restaurant I had initially planned was booked... but very happy to have came here! It's very small so everyone was somewhat fighting for the seats including me lol. There's two tables outside but it was raining when I went so that definitely was not an option. The interior is cute though - there's separators for different waste and there's even a sink across the trash area for you to wash your hand! I got the brisket milk bun. To be honest, I had no idea what a milk bun was but I see the hype now! The milk bun was fluffy and buttery, which went well with the brisket and the more sour pickles and items that went with it. The fries were so addicting with the sauces they had too. They don't have free water I think, so I decided to buy a soda since I'd rather pay for soda than water. Overall, it's a casual but delicious place. They also give you an estimate as to how long your order may take and they told me around 20 minutes... not bad but I believe they were able to serve me earlier. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey for fries and a sandwich basically, but the quality is really good and it got me super full so I was satisified. read more

Maybe because I had high expectations coming from NYC, but this was mediocre at best. I agree, the milk bun is fluffy and the sauce was tangier than your average, but other than that this sandwich was lacking for the price I paid. Unlike previous pictures that showed a fluffy roll, ours was pretty dense and smushed. read more

I ordered ahead via their website for a treat myself kind of work lunch. Pickup was easy (say your name when you enter, they hand the bag over and you're off) and there are technically a couple tables outside to sit but i brought this back to my desk. I did order one of the safer choices which was the spicy chicken sandwich. I'm a big fan of spicy chicken sandwiches and this was one of the better ones I've had. Yes you're probably looking at the menu and being like wow it's $13 it's kind of expensive compared to fast food restaurants, but believe me it's completely worth it. You get a huge sandwich, and plenty of chicken inside. The bun was also good although I did get a little soggy given its structural integrity. It was super soft. The chicken was still crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, admittedly tho i work very close by but still a good thing. I will definitely be returning to try the maitake sandwich next and maybe one of those cinnamon milk buns. read more

I've been wanting to try this place since it opened, and the wait was WELL worth it. This is one of the best curated menus I've ever seen for a "sandwich shop", but make no mistake- they elevate what it means to be a sandwich shop. I tried several items and I was not disappointed. I'm OBSESSED with the Huda sauce, the fries are beautifully shoestring-style with perfect crunch and a soft inside. The smash burger was a transformational experience, and the spicy chicken sandwich was unlike any other spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had, and the short rib grilled cheese was a beautiful explosion of flavors- the short rib was the most tender thing I've ever had. The homemade milk buns are like challah and Martin's potato rolls had a beautiful baby. 11/10 will be back read more

Huda? More like hubba hubba. The anticipated grand opening today did not disappoint! Huda's the new sandwich shop in Rittenhouse opened by Abe Fisher's chef. You can tell he spent a lot of time perfecting his artisan breads in quarantine by how amazing the milk bun tasted, soft and a little sweet. The swordfish was tender and flaky and paired super well with a little slaw and kimchi tartar. The shop is simple and chic, with a few tables outside to offer outdoor seating. The sandwiches were made live in the open kitchen and came out surprisingly fast given it's the first day. Definitely looking forward to trying the other items on the menu, especially the maitake mushroom milk bun. Mark this on your list to stop by for lunch! read more

WOW! What a surprise! Some great food for justifiable prices! We ordered a smash burger and spicy chicken sandwich for around $28. The smash burger was so delicious. The burger melted in your mouth along with the cheese and the caramelized onions. The patty had crisp edges, and the entire burger was so juicy, flavorful, and amazing. I really enjoyed the buns on them too as I am a big fan of milk buns. Think of biting into a Shake Shack burger but even better! The spicy chicken sandwich was also delicious too--in it's own way. The chicken was extremely juicy, and the toppings on the sandwich were unique. It was like having a tangy, acidic salad on top of your sandwich. Still delicious, but my only complaint would be that the coating of the chicken was quite thick and crunchy. I'd prefer it it were more so crispy than crunchy. Overall, I want to go back eventually to try some of their other items on the menu. A bit pricey for some, but considering the area, it was well worth it! read more

Man...I pigged out when I recently visited Huda. I have a hard time picking just one item, and their menu is jam packed with so many delicious looking sandwiches, it is nearly impossible to only select one. That said, I had their spicy chicken sandwich and their smashburger. The buns here are UNREAL! They are the perfect combination of soft & chewy. Both sandwiches had incredible flavor profiles, and were really well sized. Their menu for vegetarians is a little light, but my wife was able to try their maitake mushroom sandwich, which she said matched the energy of my beef and chicken sandwiches. It is very affordable, and if you are lucky, you can find street parking right across the shop. If not, there are a number of spots around these blocks. Oh...and we also got the cinnamon milk bun...just do me a favor, and dont leave without trying this or ordering to take home. Pretty casual vibe here; no need to get dressed up. They do have a few tables inside (2 tops) for smaller groups, and a couple of tables outdoors. A nice plus is that they have their own little makeshift library with new and classic cookbooks & stories around food. I love it here and can't wait to get back. read more

I saw this place forever ago on Yelp and was finally able to grab lunch here. When I arrived in the establishment, it was well decorated and friendly looking. There was a kiosk right at the entrance to place your order, which is great because you don't have to flip through a menu to look at what they have. I sat down at a table and waited. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. This is a good place for parties of 2 or 3, there isn't much seating inside so I don't recommend groups dining in. I ordered the smash burger and milk bun. The smash burger was amazing. The meat was tender and it had perfectly caramelizad onions on it. They were sweet and soft. The sauce was flavorful and they had these lovely pickles on the burger. I have no idea what pickles they use, but they were tangy and complemented the sweet onions and balanced the greasiness from the burger. The milk bun was delicious as well. They don't warm the bun, which I prefer, but I know some people are used to this type of dessert being warmed, so just a warning that you might want to take it to go if you would like it warmed up in the oven/microwave. The final nice touch to this establishment is that they have a sink with soap and paper towels for you to wash your hands, which is much appreciated after eating messy hand food. It is on the pricier side for a simpler meal, but I left satisfied and full, so I definitely recommend checking Huda out if you're in town! read more

Delicious! I had the maitake mushroom burger; I loved the flavors and the texture combination of the bun with the crispy mushroom - soft and crunch in one bite, yum! Like other reviewers have mentioned, the milk buns are fluffy and similar to Hawaiian rolls. I am curious to try their sweet items at some point too :) The interior is small and simple with only a few seats inside, and they close at 6pm so it makes you vie for an opportunity to eat there. Despite their somewhat limited availability in person, it's not really a problem because their food is more geared towards take out/delivery anyways. Even if you eat in person, you have to order at the cashier first rather than being served at the table. The only downside is that it's semi pricey imo, especially given that there are no sides or anything that comes with the sandwich and the place doesn't offer the full sit-in meal vibes either. I think the quality and taste makes it worthwhile though for the occasional visit! read more
