I recently had a couple of great lunches here. I found parking along Wolf Street with no problem. The inside was clean and the staff was friendly. They serve you fresh waster (Drinks to order include Hanks, Boylan's, Harney and Sons, Teas etc.) and will serve you at the table or you can walk up and order at the counter. Their menu has a great mix of deli, steak, "chicken" steak, meatball, sausage and cutlet sandwiches with interesting flavor combos. You can also get breakfast (till 11AM) or a salad. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys! read more

Nipotina is a new hot spot one block from my house, and I'm not mad about it. I've tried a bunch of their options, including the eye, hippie chick, caprese, and a few of the egg sandwiches. I super appreciate that they have gluten free chicken cutlet and gluten free bread. This is major! Every sandwich I've ever had here is absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, fresh ingredients, great portions! I really love this place, their location and the speed in which I can order and get food into my face hole. Honestly 10 stars. Ok maybe 9.5. I do have 2 small gripes and they're probably only gluten free related but I'm hoping if I mention them, I can truly have a 10 star experience. 1. The chicken cutlets are thin, (not a problem for me at all) and because of that, the corners of the cutlets are usually overcooked and pretty tough. 2. The gf bread sucks. Since I have to order gf bread, I have no choice but to pay extra. Since it hold my sandwich together, I do eat a few bites of it, but I throw out at least 75% of it. Please, please, please find a place that makes homemade bread because I'm assuming this garbage is frozen and it just tastes bad, bringing the whole sandwich down a bit. I was craving a delicious sandwich and a friend recommended Nipotina. I ordered The Nipotina and The Eye and they were both so delicious! You can really tell they use high quality, fresh ingredients! I ordered a pick up online and my order was made very quickly, which I appreciated. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and clean. I'll have to dine in the next time I'm in Philly! I stopped by because I was in the area and they came back on my gluten free app. They have traditional long gf rolls for cheesesteaks so that was a plus. I ordered one and asked for the meat to be chopped well. I also ordered fries. Both were PHENOMENAL! The bread was as soft as a gf roll can be. Yum! I am so happy I tried Nipotina because it was delicious! At first, the prices are kind of high but honestly it is very worth it and the quality is there! I got 'The Slice' with chicken cutlet, fried mozzarella, marinara, arugula. It was flavorful and delicious and I was able to save some leftovers for later due to the size of the entire sandwich. I also got a side of fries, which I could maybe have done without. Nipotina also offered breakfast items, which I am excited to try. The staff were friendly and the sandwich was made relatively quickly. There is space to dine in, which is nice, but I did choose to take mine to go and eat at home. Walked in and it was pretty roomy cozy vibes. Plenty of windows to get natural sunlight in. Walked in and put in my order, the front end cashier was friendly. I ordered the Nad and it came out within 10-15min. Delicious, you can taste everything and the bread was crusty and chewy how i like it. The cutlet portion was perfect, the cheese pull of the mozz was photo worthy. Cutlet, mozz, hot honey, arugula and prosciutto. I try a new place for cheesesteaks every year when I visit Philly and this is by far the best I've ever had. Fiancé is from Philly and a hard critic of cheesesteaks.
