    Menu small but great

Simply the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. Hand carved steam ship round. Sublime gravy. Crispy Sarcone"s Kaiser roll, Sharp provolone ,and a perfect red long hot pepper. Under $10. Small cute place run by a really nice couple dedicated to quality. Great ice coffee was just a pleasant surprise. Close to the stadium on Broad. If you are going to an afternoon game give this your most serious consideration.

Every time I bite into their sandwich it reminds me of my grandmothers roast beef growing up. No offense to Nick's but this is the best beef in the city. If you are expecting a steakhouse setting with a a bunch of tables this isn't that... this is a small cafe with a huge cut of the best roast beef piled high on a fresh Kaiser roll. The staff here makes you feel at home and I love coming here. I suggest a long hot to accompany this little piece of art ! Extremely addictive.

They had custom menus for us that said "happy anniversary"....really nice touch. They also gifted us two glasses of prosecco. The food was absolutely outstanding. We split the grilled avocado and the crab toast. And both ordered the gnocchi. And split the basque cheesecake for dessert. I am still thinking about the meal......11 months later. It was THAT good. The wood burning fireplace/cook area. The wood waiting to go in to be burned. The open kitchen. Such a cool vibe. The cocktails were also sublime. We split charcoal old fashioned and a roasted strawberry Negroni. Then I had a pickled beet martini.....very delish and unique...but nothing my husband would try. On a scale of 1 to 10....this place was at least an 11.

We came here for happy hour and were immediately impressed by how stunning the space is. The decor…read moreis beautiful, and it would make a great date-night spot. The service, food, and drinks were all good, but happy hour felt pricey for the portion sizes. We shared oysters, French fries, shrimp cocktail, and tuna crudo, along with a few glasses of wine. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna crudo. My photos may be a bit misleading--the oysters and shrimp were surprisingly small, and we actually left feeling hungry. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with great food, but not the best value for happy hour.

They serve you fresh waster (Drinks to order include Hanks, Boylan's, Harney and Sons, Teas etc.) and will serve you at the table or you can walk up and order at the counter. Their menu has a great mix of deli, steak, "chicken" steak, meatball, sausage and cutlet sandwiches with interesting flavor combos. You can also get breakfast (till 11AM) or a salad. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!

The linguine was tasteless. Even when we asked for salt & pepper (if salt and pepper shakers are not on the table food should be seasoned correctly) it did not help. The Manhattan clam chowder was thin with NO clams (if you ladle soup properly it should have broth, clams & vegetables). This James Beard award winning version was just a thin broth. Caesar salad has become ubiquitous. This version was a dressing that was a broken emulsion that was too heavy on lemon and anchovy. The croutons rock hard.Salmon was a miniscule portion accompanied by a tablespoon of leeks. The crostone with the linguine was stale and rock hard. Hard enough to pave your driveway. The desserts were sloppy in the presentation. Mediocre "American" fare at high prices. No regular menu just a poorly executed pre fixe. Service was slow. Literally. We asked for bread and they brought napkins. Not being a linen-tarian I did not eat them. Nice ambiance that must of cost a fortune with great attention to detail. Too bad I don't eat decor..or napkins.. even worse is the fact that little attention to detail was given to food or service. It's such a shame. Stephan Starr has a James Beard Award. With such a vast restaurant empire it's odd that Adrian is so awful. But hey, it's a captured audience at Wells Fargo right?
