We made reservations before the Flyers game. It almost went bad as the doorman blocked us as we didn't have the tickets that allowed access to the Adrian...even though we had reservations. There were a handful of parties in the same predicament. Rodney to the rescue! He helped clear the confusion so we could grab our table. Mark took great care of us. Cobb salad with shrimp and an old fashioned. Great meal and great service. If you're coming to Wells Fargo arena skip the hot dog, have a nice meal here at Adrian's. read more

The famous restaurateur Stephan Starr's newest creation is terrible on every level. How bad was it? Adrian gives tourist traps a bad name! The absolute worst pasta. Overcooked shrimp. The linguine was tasteless. Even when we asked for salt & pepper (if salt and pepper shakers are not on the table food should be seasoned correctly) it did not help. The Manhattan clam chowder was thin with NO clams (if you ladle soup properly it should have broth, clams & vegetables). This James Beard award winning version was just a thin broth. Caesar salad has become ubiquitous. This version was a dressing that was a broken emulsion that was too heavy on lemon and anchovy. The croutons rock hard.Salmon was a miniscule portion accompanied by a tablespoon of leeks. The crostone with the linguine was stale and rock hard. Hard enough to pave your driveway. The desserts were sloppy in the presentation. Mediocre "American" fare at high prices. No regular menu just a poorly executed pre fixe. Service was slow. Literally. We asked for bread and they brought napkins. Not being a linen-tarian I did not eat them. Nice ambiance that must of cost a fortune with great attention to detail. Too bad I don't eat decor..or napkins.. even worse is the fact that little attention to detail was given to food or service. It's such a shame. Stephan Starr has a James Beard Award. Let me just first say that I have dined in many Stephen Starr restaurants in Philly numerous times: The Continental Midtown, The Dandelion, El Vez, Parc, Pod, The Love and Buddakan. Every time the service and meals were excellent. The Adrian in the Wells Fargo Center was very disappointing. Was going to the Sebastian Maniscalco at the Wells Fargo Center this past Friday evening. BTW the show was excellent! First I want to say the service was attentive and friendly. When we were seated we were placed at a small table for 2 against a wall with a large column to my wife's back right and behind me was a glass wall and I did not have much room to move. To my left and my wife's right 5 feet away was the service staff's workstation - distracting with a lot of activity. We did not say anything at the time and did not ask to be relocated because we did not want to make a fuss. However, the quality of the subsequent meal only added to a disappointing dinner. The menu was a pre-fix menu. Two to three options in each meal category. So we sat and were given 2 rolls, no butter. The quality of the rolls tasted like prepackaged grocery store rolls. The appetizers were served. My wife had the caesar salad. Just lettuce, grated parmesan cheese and a few small croutons. Nothing special. I had the deviled eggs (4). They were good but nothing elevated in any way - mayo and a little Dijon mustard. Main courses: my wife had the salmon and I had the chicken parmesan. The salmon was not fresh. A small piece with supposedly leeks. My wife had to lift the salmon to see a spot of mushed leeks. The presentation was underwhelming. My wife took one bite of the fish and it was over cooked and not fresh. She could not eat it. I had the chicken parm. It was bland. Also unappealing was the pasta just tossed in a bland sauce - a good portion of the pasta was cold. Dessert: chocolate cake - there was no cake, more of a chantilly cream with chocolate sauce. More like a frosting with sauce. Cheesecake - over baked and dry. Overall disappointing since this was a Stephen Starr restaurant. read more

Wow, where do I even begin? This was hands down the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Save your money and skip this place. Now, let me preface this by saying I'm a big Stephen Starr fan and have frequented many of his Philly spots, which are our usual go-to's. We've introduced friends and family to his restaurants, and they're always a hit. But this? This was a complete miss. We visited The Adrian after receiving an invite for a pre-set menu before the Weezer show on September 13th. There were three of us, and we each tried one of the three available entrées. First up: the Roasted King Salmon champagne mustard sauce, leeks. It looked like a 2oz piece of fish floating in some flavored water. My wife couldn't even finish it. Then, the Shrimp Scampi linguini,lemon, Parmesan with added Filet Mignon - both flavorless and overcooked. Lastly, the "signature" Chicken Parmesan penne pasta, vodka sauce, mozzarella di buffalo, which both the manager and waitress hyped up as Stephen Starr's must-try dish... a dish he wanted on the menu. Well, it was served dry, cold, and completely tasteless. The drinks were awful and inconsistent, the appetizers and desserts missed the mark, and the only thing remotely decent were the rolls. After tip, we ended up paying close to $400 for a meal I wouldn't even pay $50 for again. Honestly, I should've known better - what did I expect from a restaurant in a venue? This place is basically a glorified cafeteria, and I can see why Stephen Starr doesn't even list it on his website. I'd distance myself from it too. And yes, we spoke to management. Let's just say they could use a bit of training. Overall, a huge disappointment. I wish I had read the reviews before booking, but honestly, I haven't needed to check reviews for a Stephen Starr restaurant in over 20 years. If I had, I would've just gone to one of his other spots. I know this feedback will probably be ignored, but seriously, do yourself a favor and DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$! read more

We had reservations for 5:45 for a 7:00 game. Our server was lovely. We ordered two appetizers and our party of four ordered steaks - medium. After about an hour, we still hadn't received our appetizers. Finally, the server went back to check, and somebody had mistakenly taken our appetizers and they had to put in a new order. After the appetizers were finished, our meal was served, but at this point the national anthem had already started. The food must've been done and sitting for a while because all of the food was cold, and the one steak was extremely overdone, almost inedible. We did not want to send the food back because we were already late to our seats. The server did discount the mea but the restaurant was not full and I expect a lot more from a $500 meal. read more

We tried to eat at Adrian but even though most of the restaurant was empty for the hour+ we ended up being at the bar there, they said they were only taking reservations, which we tried to get earlier, but were not available. When we arrived at the WFC, the Aramark workers were striking and although my dad was probably rolling over in his grave, we went in. I think that's why the restaurant was limited and the bar was in such disarray. Everyone said it was "their first day", so then we realized they were hired because of the strike. There was one woman behind the bar that clearly knew what she was doing. Before we realized it was also HER first day, we thought she was the supervisor. They couldn't find Campari, so they couldn't make a negroni, so that was disappointing. The beers and wine were just fine, tho, and the chicken sandwich wasn't bad. It was hot. Hopefully we get back when everything is back to normal and we can enjoy the experience we thought we were going to have. But thanks to the young woman that was working so hard that night. You know who you were because you were the only one that knew what they were doing (unlike the guy that when asked for a lime, grabbed the bowl of limes and just held them out for the customer to grab one with his fingers). read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would!! I agree with other reviewers Raphael S. And Ed C. Thank you for your honest reviews! I wish I would have read them ahead of time. ADRIAN restaurant is a joke!! A nightmare and a joke at the same time. We spent a good coin on a disgusting meal!! The service is almost as bad as the food. The employees were bickering with each other near the server station that was located near our table. Unbelievable. They were literally bickering and complaining about work stuff the entire time. then I went to use the bathroom in Adrian and there was an employee in there - presumably on her break. playing her phone loudly. playing some annoying game on the phone just standing there leaning against the wall. How unprofessional!!! The food was sub par, the drinks were decent but that's hard to mess up. just ordered basic paloma cocktails and margarita. Would never eat here again. Can't believe Stephen Starr's name is attached to this debacle. Funny thing is the Vetri pizza on club level used to be exclusive, but I heard there were problems there too and I think they closed the club level location and moved to the first floor. Last, I will say Wells Fargo is good for sports events, but the acoustics are terrible for concerts!! Stay away from Adrian, I would not even eat here for free. We did the Pre fix before the Madonna concert. The food and service were both great!

Went to a concert so we were excited to give it a try. Very disappointing. 3 course fixed price meal. Waited 45 minutes for a piece of cake. Missed buying merchandise and seeing all of the props for the concert that were designed for photos. Almost missed the beginning of the opening act. Was not worth $60/plate as food was good but not excellent - salad very small. read more

Went to Adrian for dinner before Aerosmith concert. It was nothing special. Service was OK. The special menu wasn't great. The options weren't well thought out. Seems like they were just easy for the kitchen to push out fast and turn over the tables. My Caesar salad was small and tasteless. Dessert was small and they forgot the ice cream on both of ours. My entree was good yet very small portion. Definitely over priced at $60/person. We won't go back and I definitely can't recommend Adrian. Next time we'll just hit one of the restaurants at Xfinity Live. And finally even though it's a Steven Starr restaurant they don't accept Steven Starr GC's! ‍ read more
