The manager has messaged me a few months ago after the review. I contacted them back but no response. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Anyway, what a letdown for an upscale establishment?![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came to steak 48 for my birthday this previous Saturday and it was such a lovely experience. Shannon was our server and she was so well versed on the menu and could give us the perfect descriptions and recommendations. I was also handed a card for my birthday which was very kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were set so nicely and they would come around and clean off excess crumbs if there were any.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We felt the service was very attentive and we were never left needing anything. We started off with something to drink. I got an espresso martini which was not too sweet and perfect and my partner had a glass of makers mark. The bread we ordered the half and half and it was so soft. The seafood tower was also so fresh and delicious. It comes with 6 sauces but our favorite was the horseradish. The steak itself I got the petite filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. We felt the asparagus and potatoes were nothing special but they were also good. For my birthday they gave us a free dessert of my choice and I got the chocolate bomb. It was like a giant ferrero rocher and I liked the mousse inside. We will definitely be returning in the future for other celebrations.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice restaurant, walkable from multiple hotels in downtown Philadelphia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Entrance was not very well marked but we figured it out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great, the server knew the menu well and was super nice. The restaurant called us the day after the reservation to make sure that the experience was good, which we've never had before and thought was nice. Food was very good, but I felt that the prices were a bit high for the taste. We did however enjoy the sizzle plates (the plates came out piping hot, I think they put them in the oven), they kept the food hot for the entire meal. Also the autogratuity was a bit pricey, the service was good and I absolutely intended on tipping, but I like to tip on my own accord. Not the biggest deal because I would have tipped similarly anyways but autogratuity is always something to be aware of.

Awesome ! Awesome ! Awesome !! Beautiful mixture and the King crab & shrimp Mac & cheese is truly delicious!!

"Look No Further !!" Steak 48 is the Super Bowl Champs when it comes to restaurants ! The service is truly second to none, and goes above and beyond on every level to show what true class looks like ( and that starts from the valet service, to the warm greetings, and ends with a team effort from the servers that left my family in awe ! ) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is upscale, with dazzling decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And once you actually get to your meal, you can only nod your head in total bliss, because the food is amazing... Fried Lobster ( scrumptious ), The King crab and Shrimp Mac & Cheese is a must have !! But don't stop there, because the menu comes with a plethora of delicious options. Steak 48 continue shining, because no question you're the brightest star in the Upscale Restaurant Galaxy.

My wife and I were blown away when we first came here and we have been back twice since. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is gorgeous, especially the private booths for 4.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is as good as it gets. The staff is so inviting and accommodating. The apps we really liked were the calamari and hanging bacon. The wedge salad is delicious. The 45-day dry aged bone-in ribeye is one of the greatest steaks in the city. It's expensive but worth it.

Steak 48 is probably my favorite steakhouse in Philly! Been a couple times and the steak is always spot on. I go with medium rare since the plates come out super hot -- medium well will overcook fast. The pork chop is also great -- tender and perfectly seasoned. Loved the crispy calamari with peppers, and the sides are SO good, they go with everything. And don't skip dessert -- the ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake is a MUST. So, so good! Service is top-notch and the vibe is dark and classy. Perfect spot for special occasions -- it's pricey, but worth it!

This Steak 48 location was very nice. The service here was top notch and the steaks were definitely delicious and well cooked and prepared. It was so much to choose from on the menu so I definitely took my time once I got to my table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside environment was very laid back and chill for a nice weekend evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I have been dying to go to this steak house FOR YEARS! Finally, I had the chance to check this place out for a drug dinner I went to. We started with this warm bread. For a table full of strangers, it felt weird to break off a piece of bread. I wish they would have made the breads less homestyle like. Next, there was fried shrimp and calamari with fried cherry peppers. This was really delicious. I liked the sauces it came with. Then, there was a salad. The salad was pretty good as well. The showstoppers were the entree and dessert. I usually hate steak but I felt like since I was at a steakhouse, I should try out their NY strip. WOW, the NY strip was delicious. They warned me when I ordered that the medium rare steak would come out in a plate that was too hot to touch. They were right! It came straight out of the heat it was cooked in. The steak didn't need anything extra. It was amazing (taste wise) the way it was. I liked how the medium rare steak wasn't bleeding as well. The sides included broccoli that tasted really mushy. I wasn't impressed by how the broccoli was steamed. I feel like steamed broccoli should have a bit of crunch. The mash potatoes were delicious, however. They were super whipped up. The show stopper of the whole fest was their dessert- Ultimate Vanilla Caramel Cake. You have to get their dessert. It was the best thing I have had in a very long time. It was this warm cake that had vanilla ice cream on top with pecans mixed in. I loved how cold and creamy the vanilla ice cream tasted. I also liked how the whip cream tasted fresh. The pecans were all mixed in the dish which was amazing. It was nice the pecans were coated with brown sugar and toasted. I think the dish also had peach in it but I can't be certain based on their ingredient list.

From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Every server and staff member was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance felt intimate and upscale, the lighting set the perfect mood and the overall vibe was immaculate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food? Incredible. From the appetizers to the main course, every dish was executed flawlessly. Steak 48 truly doesn't miss.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pricing fairly high so check out the menu before going if you think you might be on budget. The food is delicious and high end. A diverse group of options. Service was ok. Friendly enough but surprisingly not as precise and not commensurate to the quality/scale of the restaurant.

Wowsza! They have moved up my list for steakhouses in the city. We arrived at 415p they opened at 4p. We were seated allllll the way in the back by the exit and bathroom the next table that came in was also POC... the third group was not so perhaps they seat from the back of the restaurant forward. Gorgeous restaurant with the loveliest staff. Funny, friendly and attentive. Singh was amazing. Helpful, suggestive and informative. Colossal shrimp are that. $12/shrimp pricey but you can tell why. They say the horseradish was hot-- eh, if you like wasabi you can handle this. The bread-- get it half and half butter mix. YUM. The steak... the steak!! Served on a sizzling plate and the sides are served to you on it. Everything is hot and sizzling and delicious. More sides than any other steakhouse in the city. They messed up and gave us extra potatoes. .chefs kiss. Delicious drinks with a good gay pour. And here comes dessert because it was date night and wifey and I prepare for full experience when we see the $$$$ Three layer key lime pie yum!! Still not as good as mine but better than most. So! I'd return, we will return. And those who enjoy seafood will not be disappointed. The display alone makes you salivate on that looooong walk to the last table. And a great music selection!!! 80-00 grunge pop and solid. Loud in the back room so be ready to sing. Yes yes and yes again!

An amazing place to go to for steak - they have a solid menu and great service! Ask for Steven Montoya - he was awesome. He was welcoming, had great energy, and I loved that he always told us his picks from the get go bc I will always ask what the waiters recommend! Calamari & shrimps - 4/5. Can't go wrong with this one. It has a little kick to it but not overly spicy The bread - 5/5!! Complimentary with the service but it was baked fresh, so warm buttery and garlicky. I loved it Filet mignon - 5/5. Barely had to cut through it because it was so smooth and tender. Get the truffle butter with it!!! You won't regret it Shells and cheese - 4/5 Brussels sprouts with bacon - 4/5 Warm vanilla cake with ice cream - 5/5. Not a drop was left. Must order! Key like pie - 3/5. A little too tart for my liking My must haves at this place: filet mignon with truffle butter and the vanilla cake. Chefs kiss!

Calling all big spenders to the front...because this place is expensive, even for a steak house. However, the food and services were amazing...so there goes my money. The shrimp devil eggs were delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great setting for a corporate meeting, birthday or a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I ordered the Market Street Muse and I could barely taste the limoncello. The vodka and basil were the most prominent flavors. I was feeling good. I'm rating this establishment four stars because the drinks on The Philadelphia Cocktail Trail were essentially existing drinks they had on their current menu but with different names. Same ingredients. I was hoping to see something new or related to America's 250th. Overall, though, the space was very calm and clean and I enjoyed being there. All the menu items sounded great, too. I'll have to pop in here for a bite to eat next time.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to try the chicken at Bud and Marilyn's, but better late than never! They serve a LARGE 1/2 chicken. I started with the thigh. I was smitten by the first bite. I was told the chicken is soaked in a buttermilk brine for 24-48 hours - dipped in a buttermilk dredge - covered with their 'secret recipe' seasoned flour - and fried in a 'pressure fryer' that cooks the chicken in 12 minutes. It was perfectly fried - so crispy - the texture and seasoning of the exterior coating was incredible. The chicken was tender and juicy - the thigh was the juiciest - I didn't get to try the drumstick as I was too full! I had the thigh and 1/2 the breast. The breast is my favorite and I savored each large delicious piece I broke apart. It's important to pick up the chicken and eat it by hand - I did cut mine in half for a picture - but didn't use a fork to eat it - you lose the 'panache'of the meal. I didn't use the hot sauce served with the chicken - I brought my own bottle of honey and poured it over the chicken and biscuits. It was heavenly! Which brings me to the Biscuits! The dish comes with 2 large fluffy buttermilk biscuits - they were golden brown on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside! They had such a rich, buttery flavor. I took several pieces of chicken and layered them on pieces of biscuit, drizzled with honey! It was truly a 5 star fried chicken and biscuit dinner!

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've had. We had a 7 PM reservation and arrived at 7:15 PM. I acknowledge that we were late and apologized to the host. However, we arrived within the stated grace period. When we checked in, the hostess explained that because we arrived later within the grace period, our 90-minute seating window would still end based on the original reservation time. We acknowledged that and had absolutely no issue with it. What made the experience uncomfortable was how aggressively we were reminded about the time throughout the entire meal. We were reminded at least 5-6 separate times how much time we had left. Comments like "just so you know you have 25 minutes left" and "our next party is coming in 5-10 minutes" made it feel like staff was actively trying to rush us out before our reservation time had even ended. Mind you, we already understood the policy. One reminder would have been enough. Instead, it completely changed the energy of the evening and made us feel unwelcome and pressured to leave. We had originally planned to stay through our reservation and then move to the bar for the live music afterward, but after being repeatedly rushed, we decided to leave entirely and spend the rest of the night elsewhere. The most disappointing part was the interaction with the manager, Eric. Rather than listening or showing any understanding, he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He repeatedly insisted we were "15-20 minutes late," which was simply not true -- we arrived during the stated grace period. The issue was never the policy itself. It was the way we were treated throughout the night. It's unfortunate because this has genuinely been one of my favorite spots in Philly, and I've recommended it to multiple people. But this experience left a really bad impression, especially when bringing guests from out of town.

With small bite presentations such as this, I firmly believe that each bite needs to taste like a flavor bomb in my mouth. Instead, it all tasted very 2 dimensional and was severely lacking in some acidity or spice. Didn't even bother taking a picture of all the dishes.
