Visited The Dandelion during a beautiful day in Philadelphia and decided to take advantage of the outdoor seating, which was a great choice. A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.

Cool place. Has a British pub vibe from outside and inside is very cool decor. Went in for brunch. The menu is not huge but a good selection. I am pretty sure that the English muffins are made in house.

The pic of the salad is a split plate. It was tasty with a slight spice that was a "hidden" extra. The fish and chips were authentic looking and tasting. Served piping hot. They didn't serve with malt but there was a hint of it in the yummy tarter. Service was friendly but very slow. We were there at 2:00 on a Monday so I will give them slack

I'm so glad we decided to try The Dandelion! It appears to be located in an old brownstone. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere with dining rooms, hardwood floors, and fireplaces that reminds you of an old home. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we were seated right away. We started with the Billingsgate crab croquettes, which were seasoned well and served fresh with a delicious lemon and paprika sauce. My only complaint was that there were only four and they were so good I wanted more! For my entrée, I ordered the tandoori chicken, and it was amazing! The portion was generous, the chicken was very tender, the rice was fluffy, and the cucumber yogurt brought everything together. Overall, the food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was inviting. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back!

The Dandelion is such a beautiful place to slow down, enjoy good food, and appreciate the little moments in life. I really loved the cozy atmosphere and the welcoming character of the place--it has a charm that makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences in Philly. Set in a charming historic building, it has all the cozy gastropub vibes you'd hope for. I went for a work dinner, and it was the perfect mix of business-friendly and uniquely Philly. The service was excellent, and my artichoke risotto was delicious. Overall, the food was a solid 4.5/5. I'd definitely come back on my next visit!

Lovely (and surprisingly large) British themed pub and restaurant! Came the first time for a pint, two days later for Sunday brunch. So glad we did! Sat in the VERY dog-themed room upstairs -- had a superb waiter (who sweetly insisted I sit back and let him do the clearing -- saying he understands I'm a mom and feel compelled to help). Table favorites were the fish and chips, chilled tomato soup, deviled eggs and cheese board -- the suggested pairings on the latter were proudly explained by the staff. Fun decor, great staff overall. Highly recommend!!

We were visiting philly for the weekend and wanted to grab dinner at a spot in the area. We grabbed a reservation a few hours in advance and were seated right away as we entered. Service was very friendly and not too overbearing with just a few check-ins here and there. We got the fish and chips, trout, salmon, and steak. I liked everything overall but my favorite was actually the steak. Good flavors across the board and the greens that came with it was a nice touch. The fish and chips were pretty good too - among the better ones Inhave tried. Cute spot with nice decorations. Would be great for a date or small groups. If I happened to be in the area, I'd be interested in grabbing a seat at the bar next time.

This place is SO neat! The vibe is relaxed but also elegant. There is an air of an old speakeasy or club throughout the place. We were warmly greeted and seated. The waiter was funny and engaging without being too overly zealous. Our food was excellent. I had the Deviled Eggs which were AMAZING! Perfect portion and creamy filling makes it extravagant: The welsh rarebit reminded us of a beer pretzel, but if it were sourdough. My risotto was unbelievable. Super rich and creamy- felt more like artichoke dip- I would have liked some bread or something to scoop it up. A neat place in Philly to grab a bite, hang with friends!

We came here for brunch Saturday 4.18.26 prior to seeing Philadanco at the Kimmel. Excellent service was provided by Gabrielle. Food overall was good. Atmosphere is cute. We were unfortunately seated next to a table of 8-10 college age girls who made zero attempt at not being loud. I had asked for a cozy corner spot on the reservation. It would have been nice to be seated in the front of the room past the doors on the second floor where one other small party was seated. There was no one else in that separated room and we were plunked next to an obnoxiously loud party. Oh well. I tried. Food was overall good. Cocktails were great especially the Cherry-O. What we ordered- Here Comes The Sun Cocktail Cherry-O Cocktail Billingsgate Crab Croquettes Pickled Beetroot Welsh Rarebit 2 Fish & Chips I was so looking forward to the Welsh Rarebit but was terribly disappointed. It was not served warm and bubbly. The topping was coagulated. It didn't look the right color either. Very strange. I thought maybe they just do it differently here. I came here to see other pics of the Rarebit. The other pics look normal to me and unlike what we were served. Minus one star for disappointing Rarebit and obnoxious seating.

My favorite restaurant in the city! Food is always on point!!! Went last night and had oysters, scallops in a malt vinegar burre blanc with bacon lardons and smoked cod on a potato rosti with salmon roe, and always a must when at the dandelion the chicken and duck liver parfait!!! Highly recommend all of that! Bella was our sever and she was amazing, attentive and knowledgeable! We sat outside on the sidewalk and enjoyed some local music being played! Can't wait to be back!

If you love British cuisine I highly recommend this place , the food, decor, and overall vibe is totally England , the service was amazing they made suggestions and were very helpful , we went for afternoon tea which is from 3-5 and it was amazing , we were told we could dine upstairs which looked so cool only to tell us that we couldn't right after we walked upstairs idk why but anyways... the food and tea was amazing , I will be back and hopefully can dine upstairs next time instead of right by the bar.

Took my niece out for her birthday dinner, and she chose the spot -- can't argue with that kind of taste. I'd heard the fish and chips were something special here, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. A generous piece of fish, fried beautifully -- not greasy at all -- that flaked perfectly with every bite. My niece doesn't eat fish, and even she took a bite and approved. High praise. But honestly? The star of the evening were the Madras Curry deviled eggs. Outstanding. Truly. And the dip with the perfectly toasted bread was equally impressive -- everything was prepared with real care. The drinks were lovely, and the atmosphere is in a category all its own. There is so much to look at. You could spend hours in there and still not catch everything on the walls. It's the kind of place that earns a second visit just to take it all in. Highly recommend -- whether it's a birthday, a date, or any excuse to get to Philly.

We asked for the toppings on the side because, you know, kids, but WOW. The vodka sauce was delicious, and the pickled tomato concoction that came with them? I could've bathed in it. The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like family coming home for the holidays. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. What an absolute joy of a restaurant. It was still good, just not as "lobster ravioli" as Im used to. The pizza is a very thin crust but they did a wonderful job of not burning the crust despite this. There was a lao a really nice distribution of pepperoni throughout the pizza and it never really gave that "greasy" feeling that can happen.
