Ube latte & rusher's roast blend
    Trevor R.

ReAnimator Coffee is a great find! I ventured in for the first time after it got a shoutout from a host on WHYY's Studio 2. I ordered the Ube Latte, and it was fantastic! The drink was not too sweet and was simply a perfect concoction of ube and espresso. Along with my latte, I got one of ReAnimator's whole bean coffee bags. They have various selections to choose from, but I got the Rusher's Roast (go birds!) which features Saquon Barkley on the front. For this particular roast, the proceeds go directly to the School District of Philadelphia. As I was sitting inside enjoying my latte, I found the ambiance relaxing. The lo-fi music playing made me want to breakout a book or my laptop and have a productive afternoon (though I came empty handed this trip). Next time I'll plan accordingly!

Very tasty coffee and cool merch. It's a smaller cafe with a few decent pastry offerings each day, but the coffee is definitely the star. Nice mid morning light in here.

I stopped in to do a little bit of work on a Saturday afternoon and had a great experience! Since it was later in the day, I opted for the Ube Latte instead of an espresso-heavy drink. It was so delicious and warmed me up from the chilly walk over. Wi-fi was strong and my table was near a power outlet which was excellent. Excited to come back and try some other drinks!

I know I've posted this a million times but the ube Latte is just so amazing I can't get over it. And I'm not even much of a coffee person. It tastes great hot too! But I prefer the iced version

another stop on my hunt to find the best matcha in philly and am once again disappointed by this rec. the color was definitely not right and i could only taste milk and tossed it after a few sips. would consider coming back here for coffee and the cafe itself is cute!

This is a great little coffee shop in the area it's nice and bright. It's a good place to stop by for a tasty cappuccino while getting some work done.

The ube latte was really refreshing on a hot day. The ube flavor was not overwhelming and I felt it perfectly balanced the oat milk taste. Also got a pour over and the baristas were nice about my request to have ice on the side. The atmosphere was very open and great natural lighting for doing work.

This is the perfect location for a coffee shop and I really enjoy the Reanimator location in Fishtown, so I decided to give this one a try. My iced americano was great. The inside is pretty with a lot of light and windows. Unfortunately, the service is so slow. There was a crowd of people waiting for their drinks and there is one person making one drink at a time. There was no urgency here. They need to improve their service to make this coffee shop worth the visit or I'd be apt to visit all the other shops in the neighborhood.

This is a great addition to the coffee scene South of Washington Ave. It joins Rival Bros at the singing fountain, and two person at Bok. It's located about halfway between Function Coffee and Rival Bros. They opened at a bad time, literally the week before the stay at home order for the pandemic was issued. They temporarily closed, as a result, but are back and are one of the first coffee shops to start taking walkup ordering again. They feature smooth, easy drinking espressos, along with Dottie's donuts. Initially, they were also offering bagels from a local source. Hopefully those are brought back soon. The staff has been consistently friendly, as well. Recommended.

Went here on a Sunday morning. It was busy, but not overly loud. I got the cappuccino, which was pretty standard.

They charge $1 to make your drink iced..I will never return because of this. It's not about price it's about principle!

This place is the *slowest* coffee shop I have ever been to. The coffee was fine, unremarkable. But the pace was like a slow motion movie.

The flavor also felt off, tasting more like binding ingredients in chocolate candy rather than a actual chocolate. FOOD Located next to Machine Shop, most guests don't come here for pastries, but they do have a limited selection of donuts and croissants. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. It's a small storefront so the line can seem quite long, but they are efficient in filtering people through. AMBIANCE Located in the Bok Building, there's ample seating in the general seating area right by and behind the storefront. The space is shared with other guests visiting Machine Shop and the stores in Bok. I saw some people working/studying, but it can get quite busy/loud. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. Most people park in neighboring streets or take the bus. BATHROOMS Bathrooms are located throughout the building.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I thought this place was very cute. Outdoor limited seating…read moreand indoor area as well. The appeal was to get a quick read in amd have my pup with me. I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
