    Iced latte (whole milk)

Icon at the register! Super smiley and sweet service I felt super welcomed and safe. There was no music so it was certainly nice, possibly a bit awkward and quiet inside (lol). Clean and easily accessible bathroom as well as a cute wood table in the back for a nice quaint work space. My only complaint was the lack of options for add ons. I am a longtime barista so I understand the sentiment of wanting the espresso to stand out, but I love a little cinnamon powder or cocoa powder ontop just to give it some type of additional sensation and they have neither. They have honey which I requested in my latte and I was told it was not for coffee and only to be used for the teas. This I thought was odd? If it is there and you offer sugar and a few syrups, why is honey forbidden to be added?

Ox Coffee used to be one of my favorite coffee spots in Philly, but lately their cappuccino has become noticeably too acidic and lacks the aroma it used to have. I'm not sure if the beans or roasting have changed, but I had the same experience again today and little disappointed :/

    Kick it spot. 12oz brew

102 degree day. Super chill spot located on 3rd just off south. I've never been but I opened that door and the ac felt great and the person working was a sweetheart. All I got was a black fill white outline (black coffee in a white cup) but the service was great and by the time I got to the kick it spot I got to taste the coffee and it's good! A darker roast but really good. Seems like they play vinyl records so next time I'm chilling inside no doubt.

Oat latte, gluten free granola bar, almond croissant, flat white

Ox Coffee had a gluten free granola bar option which was really tasty, as well as some non-gluten free pastries. The baristas were so friendly and gave my friend and I great recommendations of things to do in the area since we told them it was our first time in Phillly. Would recommend it to anyone in the Philly area looking for fantastic coffee and great service!

I found ox Coffee from a Google search of coffee shops near me. Grateful that Ox Coffee was a short minute walk from my Airbnb. It was a cute coffee shop with a simple, clean design. Due to Covid, you could order online or walk up to the makeshift ordering window at the door. They had a standard drinks menu. I didn't see any specialty drinks, which was totally cool. Let the quality of the coffee speak for itself! Although I wasn't hungry, the pastries on display looked tasty. I ordered a nonfat latte with simple syrup. I initially asked for a vanilla latte, but they didn't carry vanilla syrup. The drink was offered in two sizes: regular or large. I got the regular size but was shocked by how tiny the cup was. It looked like it was less than a 12 oz. cup for $4.10. I didn't agree with the size to cost ratio at first, but any doubt I had of the coffee melted away after I tried my drink. It was made very well. My latte was smooth, had the perfect temperature, and had the right amount of sweetness that wasn't overpowering. Lastly, customer service was excellent. The staff member at the ordering window was friendly and helpful, and I can't help but feel that my rink was made carefully and thoughtfully.

Very cute spot! The staff was friendly and loved the atmosphere- wish they had almond milk and maybe a flavor or two. The coffee sizes are in the smaller side and the ice coffee was a bit bland. We got an iced latte with oat milk and an ice coffee with oat milk. Both were good but a bit average and pricey (over $10 for two small coffees). Not sure I will be back.

We stopped by for an afternoon cappuccino. It was delicious. The person working was very friendly and helpful. It was fairly busy, but still got my drink with in 5 minutes.

Cute coffee house just off of South Street. Very friendly staff. Cappuccino was excellent

Stopped by on a rainy day for some fuel. Staff was friendly and didn't have to wait long. Tried an americano and Gibraltar which were full body and packed a punch for the day. My only regret is not ordering the large americano.

Cute little coffee shop. The Barnstable was very nice and explained the different options. We got an iced latte and had great flavor.

The flavor also felt off, tasting more like binding ingredients in chocolate candy rather than a actual chocolate. FOOD Located next to Machine Shop, most guests don't come here for pastries, but they do have a limited selection of donuts and croissants. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. It's a small storefront so the line can seem quite long, but they are efficient in filtering people through. AMBIANCE Located in the Bok Building, there's ample seating in the general seating area right by and behind the storefront. The space is shared with other guests visiting Machine Shop and the stores in Bok. I saw some people working/studying, but it can get quite busy/loud. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. Most people park in neighboring streets or take the bus. BATHROOMS Bathrooms are located throughout the building.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
