    Bbq pork bang mi

Came here for lunch as I was working nearby. If was not too busy when I went. The food is delicious. Each Bahn mi is honestly enough for two meals but I ate it all as it was so yummy. There are a few tables and plenty of barstools if you wanted to eat there.

Honestly, I eat here with my boyfriend every week. Truly a hidden gem! My favorite is the bánh mì xui mai. The owner makes the meatball perfectly. Oh! They tend to spread a generous amount of butter in the bread. If you don't like too much, be sure to tell them.

We took a drive from Jersey City to meet friends and try another Vietnamese foodie spot. Was not disappointed! Had tried the banh mi at another well known Philly place and the banh mi here were 10 stars!! We had the H1 Special with added pork floss, the H7 pork BBQ. Veggies were perfectly pickled and fresh. The pork cold cuts, pate and floss were flavorful and plenty. The BBQ was rich and the lemongrass was flagrant. The D1 Viet iced coffee was not too sweet and had cocoa and coconut notes. The peach lemongrass tea was delightful. All served with a smile by a nice Asian server. We will make the 90+ min drive again to come back for more!

Didn't get a chance to try many of their food items, but got to try a few different drinks and one of their desserts. The pennyworth and the sugar cane ones were so delicious and beyond fresh. Light, not too sweet, and so refreshing. Passionfruit - a bit too tangy for me, but passionfruit was never really my thing. My son LOVED it. It had fresh pulp and the seeds in it. The coconut bean dessert was delicious. Had a bit too much cream, but I just scraped some off the top. I'm glad they gave more though as I know some that love extra. Service - so nice! They were so welcoming and greeted us right when we walked through the door. Asked if we had any questions and walked us through any questions we had. I will surely be back!

This is neighborhood joint done right! They are small but powerful. So friendly, traditional beverages and some unique twists, and fresh, fast Bahn Mi. so cute inside, minimal seating bc it's small but I'd sit here to enjoy an iced bev and cool off!! I had a BBQ pork Bahn mi and peach iced tea with lemongrass and orange - so refreshing. Love these guys, go check 'em out.

Quick service and great food, they provide lots of filling and don't skimp on the pate. The rolls have sesame seeds, which, while not authentic, do add a nice flavor to the sandwiches. You can ask for veggies on the side if you're getting it to go and not eating right away. My favorites are the banh mi dac biet (#1) and the banh mi cha ca (#8).

Delicious tofu Banh mi! Portion size was really big - I probably should have saved half for later but it was so good! If you're vegan just be aware the roll is buttered pretty heavily. The Vietnamese iced coffee was very tasty, but super sweet. Which is great if you like dessert iced coffee but I think next time I'll just try the black iced coffee! Overall very good!

This restaurant has 2 tables and 2 separate rolls.of seating. Really reminds you of a small vietnamese Cafe. This place was on my husband's list of food places to check-out. We were greeted and seated right away. They also have off menu specials. Ofcourse, I tried the Banh Canh cau which is a seafood tapioca noodle soup dish. This was pretty good. All of the ingredients were fresh and even the quail eggs. I really enjoyed the chewy noodles and soup broth. My husband got the bo kho with bread. He said that was good. I added goi cuon which is a summer roll (rice roll with shrimp, pork, lettuce and vermicelli noodles), I was in for a surprise with these rolls. They were huge. The sauce was phenomenal. Homemade sauce that tasted better then any other I have ever had. So you know I had to order one to go. We also got a Vietnamese hoagie to go (dac biet). Have not tried it yet but will report back. Parking is a plenty and metered outside. They close earlier then most restaurants. The plus is they also do catering. The staff were very nice and spoke English very well.

Great banh mis, smoothies, freshly squeezed sugar cane, and iced coffees. Feels like being in a family member's house and Jojo is super friendly and takes pride in her restaurant.

New local Vietnamese bistro style restaurant! Good size menu for takeaway items including banh mi, iced coffee and ready made off the menu items like goi cuon and specials like bun bo hue and pha lau. Food was delicious! Banh mi dac biet (special) was very crispy. I enjoyed the sesame seeds. The pate and meats were very good too. We also got canh bun. Very good, complex broth. Rieu was very very juicy with both snails and shrimp. Fresh blood cubes too. Really really good. Some seats available for individuals and couples - very clean inside and street parking is easy. Highly recommend this place. We will be back!

Delicious banh mi and so many varieties of yummy Vietnamese snacks and drinks to choose from.

    Hu Tieu My Tho!
    Veng H.

Cute little Vietnamese shop with banh mi's, other Vietnamese imported foods, and a cozy selection of home-cooked noodle soups. There's only enough seating for 10 people tops, but the set-up is cafe-style with 2 small tables and a wall bar with stools. Jojo, the owner & chef, suggested Hu Tieu My Tho, which came out huge, hot, and delicious. There were so many interesting ingredients, including thai style fish cakes, fish balls with some lemongrass blend of herbs, pork, celery, and a few other things. I never had this dish before and fell in love with it! I also ordered Rau Ma, which is a sweetened pennywort drink. Refreshing! The menu changes often, depending on what Jojo wants to cook the next day. I'm excited to come back and try some more of her specialties!

Great food and drinks. I got the large Vietnamese latte - very good and strong. I also tried the lemongrass pork banh mi and it has become one of my favorites. It has a toasted seeded baguette with a decent portion of meat. They also have traditional Vietnamese desserts in the fridge and a rotating menu of hot Vietnamese food. The dining area is small with a couple of tables and long bar seating on the wall. I wouldn't say it's really a place to chill or study if you're looking for that, but good for takeout. The service was great and the owner/workers are very friendly.

Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is on the smaller side with limited seating, but it feels modern and thoughtfully designed. I especially enjoyed the artwork throughout the space. Service - We had the chance to chat with one of the owners and learned they have only been open for a couple of years. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and I truly hope they continue to see the success they deserve. What We Ordered - -Chicken satay (Very good, with a peanut sauce that isn't overly heavy or overpowering like at some places) -Beef rendang (An incredible dish. We were both impressed by how rich and flavorful it was) Final Thoughts - I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you are ever in the area.

Some standout menu items: the kwetiau goreng tastes just like home, especially with the lapchong--yuuummmm so good! The kwetiau siram was equally delicious. The sayur asam is perfectly balanced, and the ayam goreng kuning is also delicious. What I really appreciate about Djakarta Cafe is the consistency--the flavors have been great for years and that's what keeps me coming back. And the service is always wonderful too. Shoutout to Lena, who always greets us so warmly!
