Without that, the food was just not as tasty and fun. The Xiao Long Bao skin was too thick and chewy, although the pork infused hot soup within was decent. Similarly, the sui mai and shrimp dumplings had better texture outside, but tiny shrimp within. The glutinous rice rolls had a pleasant light soy sauce and right textured wrap, but small shrimp in both size and number. The best we had was the potato croquette (crunchy outside, hot and grated tato within). The room was all blond wood and large traditional Chinese kitchen mural on the wall. Service was efficient. Prices were about right given the recent restaurant inflation. For my three stars I would rather return to the enrapture of the old ladies and their carts.

The chicken lo mein was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and flavor. The diced dry spicy chicken came with a side of rice, which balanced the bold seasoning nicely. The chicken was crispy on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside, and the spice level was around a 5/10, which is enough to give it a satisfying kick without being overwhelming.
