Came to visit this location to try their soup dumplings (forgot to take a picture!) From what I understood, this location is new opening so everything is clean and open. Service was quick and efficient - our order came out fairly fast. With all of the dumplings that we tried - our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! After this visit, I've ordered Door Dash from here and the quality has been very consistent - so I'm very happy to order and/or dine in again very soon!

Went in for dinner on a hot day to try the new dim sum kingdom. Wanted to cool down a bit so ordered a taro smoothie. It was pretty standard flavor but more of a slushee instead of a smoothie. Pan fried dumplings were just okay, lacking a bit of that good fried flavor so maybe not fried long enough. Shrimp dumplings were also pretty standard. The spicy pork soup dumplings had a very tasty broth though wasn't necessarily spicy. I'll have to try their other soup dumplings or something with that tasty broth next time. Staff are quick to help order and bring food out, and refill drinks. Overall an average, straightforward spot to get a meal, thanks.

We stopped by for a quick Monday lunch, and the place was quiet. Since we only wanted to try the Beijing duck, we ordered a half portion. The wait was longer than expected-over 20 minutes-but the duck itself was pretty good. They also serve dim sum, but the prices seemed high compared to other spots nearby. If you're just craving duck, it's decent, but there are more budget-friendly options in the area.

This place has only been open for a few months. They got an extended food menu, including Cantonese dishes, Taiwanese dishes, and more. Went there for dim sum and wasn't disappointed. The highlight of the day was definitely the chive dumplings (fried), very juicy and flavorful. The chicken skewers were a surprise too (I just wish they came with their own sauce instead of using the dumpling sauce for everything, as it can get a little dry). Attentive staff, and I would come again. Oh! Did I mention you can get a discount by paying with cash?

We initially wanted something else in the area, with similar food but that place looked too chaotic. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. I believe the owner was there and he was very accommodating, as well as the staff. We ordered a variety of items and everything was flavorful, hot, juicy, and filling. Prices were very reasonable and I even received a discount for paying with cash! Highly recommend the chive dumplings, available steamed or fried. We opted for steamed and they were delicious!

We had a good time at the New Dim Sum Kingdom. We just got an order of the spicy pork soup dumplings. They were fantastic, had a ton of flavor and good amount of pork. I liked them even a little better when adding some of the chili sauce that was on the table to them. Our only complaints were they advertised them as bogo outside on a board and that didn't happen and advertised a % off your bill if paying in cash that they didn't do either. Both we didn't ask more about just enjoyed the experience and moved on but something to ask about if that's the reason why you're there. Service was friendly and the space was clean. Would get the dumplings again.

my friend and i checked out this new dim sum place in chinatown when my usual go-to spot was closed, but we were underwhelmed. we walked in at 130-2pm on a wednesday, and the place was completely dead. the restaurant is quite large, but there was only one other customer in the entire place. the staff were friendly, but the person taking our order was clearly undertrained. he didn't know how to use the ipad and got our order wrong several times. another staff member, presumably the manager, came out to assist him. the food itself was mediocre. i was very disappointed by the pan-fried pork buns. they looked like ugly underfilled dough balls, nothing like the picture on the menu. the filling was sparse and the outer dough was too thick. the soup dumplings were decent, but the dough was also on the thicker side and several of the dumplings did not have soup. we also ordered the shrimp and pork shao mai and the chicken feet which were both decent. overall, this place was pretty mediocre and not worth the visit. plenty of better dim sum places in chinatown.

    3. Spicy Pork Soup Dumplings

Super good some of the best dumplings I've every eaten. I had the normal and spicy pork soup dumplings and they were so good. The host was incredibly kind and informed me that I should eat them before the cool. The service was amazing and the food was super good. Btw the spicy ones come with 6 not 5 but I already ate one.

    Crispy Pumpkin Dumplings.

This was a great place to take the family. We ordered the chicken, pork, and spicy pork dumplings. They were all excellent. The scallion pancake was not as impressive, though--it was pretty greasy. I should have asked for more napkins to soak up the oil, but still, the flavor wasn't all that either. We asked the waiter if the wontons had shrimp in them and he replied, "No, it's only pork." Lies. As soon as my son bit into it, there was a hunk of shrimp in it--which was potentially dangerous as we asked in order to avoid FOOD ALLERGIES. So, that got tossed immediately. Other than that, I'd just stick to the soup dumplings. The beef noodle soup was tasty as well. The staff was very apologetic about the incident, we speak and understand Fukien, Cantonese, and Mandarin so we knew there was an innocent mix up in the kitchen by just listening to what they were discussing in the back. I would go again. No hard feelings. Just won't order the wontons if you have a shellfish allergy. Oh, and the crispy pumpkin dumplings were just the right about of custard sweetness after the savoriness of the main dishes!

Same ambiance as the prior tenant here, Dim Sum Garden, had. They've moved over to 1024 Race. Meanwhile the new occupant has a similar menu. I had fried pork and vegetable dumplings, lotus leaf sticky rice, and shrimp Shu Mai. The service was friendly and helpful. Haven't sampled the soup dumplings yet - for many those were The reason to hit DSG. But so far so good.

This place is a straight-up dim sum and dumpling situation, and it delivers hard. We ordered way too much food, which I maintain was the correct decision. The spread: house special roast pork bun (pillowy, porky, perfect), pan-fried dumplings (crispy bottoms, juicy inside -- the way it should be), soup dumplings (golden, delicate, dangerous if you're impatient), scallion pancakes (flaky, savory, we did not share these equally), spring rolls (classic, crispy, no notes), and honestly some other stuff I've already forgotten because by that point we were deep in a dim sum fugue state. We finished almost all of it. Almost. We tried. And the price? An absolute steal. The kind of meal where you check the bill twice because you're sure something's missing. If you're in Philly and you want dumplings done right in a no-fuss spot that punches way above its weight, Nom Wah is the answer.

I managed to get in a visit to Ocean Harbor before I moved from Philly and I'm so glad I did…read more Everyone I've talked to about cart dim sum said that this was the place to go and it was very true. I haven't had proper dim sum since I was about 10 years old at the Imperial Inn (RIP) so I was really excited, and Ocean Harbor did not disappoint. We came at about 11 AM on a Sunday and were seated immediately even with a large party. The food started immediately, and it would probably be easier to say what we didn't eat than what we did! Some highlights for me (and I apologize for not knowing the proper Chinese names): -A steamed pork and shrimp dumpling sealed horizontally on the top. Definitely different than siu mai, and soooo deliciously tender and juicy. Really good portion size too. -Chow fun. It had that amazing wok-fried taste, and was perfectly chewy. -Egg tarts, just barely set, collapsing into your mouth when you bite them. -Others have mentioned it, but the fried shrimp green rice roll. I'm really not a huge fan of shellfish, but this was so flavorful. -I'm always going to love the chance to have some sesame balls, and these were no exception. Audibly crispy on the outside with red bean paste and wonderfully soft glutinous rice flour on the inside. -Honorable mention to the coconut jelly, which I was too full to eat but my friends crowned with the ultimate compliment of "not too sweet." Ultimately, Ocean Harbor blew past my expectations especially after reading these reviews. You aren't going for the service; there aren't waiters here. Nevertheless, I definitely wouldn't describe anyone as rude, and the pricing was very reasonable, coming out to about $20 per person for a table of seven (not including tip). I can't wait to go back.

Food is ok, has certainly decreased in quality after COVID and is more expensive. There are other dim sum places within a few blocks that are much better quality. As others have said, the situation with their staff demanding 15-20% tip has made it so I will not come here again. A tip is not legally required. It is only legally required to cover the cost of your food as stated on the bill. I think the BBB needs to be contacted to investigate their practices surrounding tips and almost harassing customers into paying more than they wish. In addition, they have loud trucks every day disrupting the quiet street behind. Many elderly live there and are woken up by the loud beeping from the truck alarms, as well as trash truck coming VERY early and waking up residents. No consideration for those who live right there. I will be contacting the city about this issue as there was a similar problem in Fishtown and now that restaurant is no longer allowed to have trucks outside of reasonable hours disturbing residents. The trucks are also TOO large to safely turn into their loading station and people park their SUVs making the space even smaller. They constantly case a problem with traffic blockages because of the trucks unable to turn into the loading dock.

This place immediately came to mind after I read the reviews, and I ordered takeout tonight. I am very pleased to say that this was an amazing experience! I opted to do fairly simple dim sum, mainly because a restaurant that has "dim sum" in its name should shine in this category. I was able to place my order online, and had the scallion pancake, the pork, soup, dumplings, the chicken and shiitake dumplings, and the shrimp shu mai. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. The staff were very friendly, and made the pick up experience a positive one. So, if you're in the area and really want to have some dim sum, I would definitely recommend this place.
