The good, the bad and the UGLY... The good We had great service at Lone Star Attitude Burger, both while waiting at the bar and at our table. Plus, we ordered a lettuce wedge that was perfectly prepared with loads of blue cheese, extra dressing on request and a pile of crispy chopped bacon with several halved cherry tomatoes. It was so large that three of us shared it. The bad I visit a lot of burger places and the burger here is unfortunately just a three. The patty is like a preformed patty from Costco. I wouldn't order it again. And, the fries were not even warm enough to melt the cheese on our garlic cheese fries. The ugly It was so cold in there tonight that all of us were totally uncomfortable the entire time. It was 39 degrees outside and it was maybe 40 degrees inside...brrrrrrr read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch, we had psychedelic burger; burger , lettuce tomato, mushrooms on a bun, fries do not come with it. We ordered a side of fries. Everything was hot and cooked to order. Forgot to take a picture. read more

It gets packed on Friday's. We came with a large group and waited a good hour, maybe more. It was too cold and windy to sit outside, but they do have heaters. The upstairs areas might be better for big groups, but the first floor was pretty tight on space. The upper floor also has a stage with live music. The ambiance is pretty laid back and casual. We got hummus for appetizer. The pita bread was soft and fresh and the hummus tasted like hummus. We got the "turkey bob" (turkey burger) and "Double trouble" for dinner. The turkey bob was decent, but the meet was a bit on the gamey side. I really enjoyed the double trouble burger. It was full of flavor. I'm still not a sure what the "copperhead lode" is, I forgot to ask. Surprisingly, I liked the crunchy texture that the Fritos added to the burger. If I came back I would get this again. While this place was good, it was nothing extraordinary. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but it's nothing at the very top of my list. read more

Really hip ambiance and quick wait time. We came as a party of four people Started with Drinks and brisket nachos The cheese and brisket were so good and have a little kick. Really great serving size for a group Very big Big burgers ( not well done the way I like it cooked longer ( I don't like pink meat) but was still tasty and if you order fries a small is enough for two people and a large enough for four people All in all still good food and drinks read more

Only thing enjoyable was our waiter, Jarrod. Again, patty was well, well done and small. Bun was stale. Unfortunately, fries were cold-and it is super hot outside! Anyway, first time back in a very long time after a bad experience that time. With all the great burger places now, can't say that I would return. read more

The upper deck had live music and great ambience. The food and service need improvement. Waitress was not attentive. Saw her a few times and had others bring our apps, drinks, and meals. Had to ask three different people for boxes. One of us had a drink that was too spicy. When the waitress and manager were both informed of this they both replied "the next time you order it make sure you tell them you don't want it too spicy." None of the meals come with sides. We were approached by staff trying to get us to go to their other establishment and to buy shots. They seemed very attentive to selling us things, but need a lot of work on hospitality! Food was adequate. read more

Great burgers and those parm fries were addictive. Had a pleasant experience chilling and watching the Olympics

My first time visiting LSA after all these years and unfortunately it was a disappointment. The place was very lively and enjoyable. The service was friendly and on-the-spot. The sides and appetizer were really good. However, the actual burger was very disappointing. The burger was a 1/4 pound beef patty. The server said I could specify any temp and they would cook it as requested, which surprised me because I've read Yelp comments to the contrary. I ordered medium rare and it was completely well done. I could see the kitchen from my booth and they were just cranking through patties like an assembly line so there was no way they intended to cook anything to a custom-ordered temp. Furthermore, the patty itself was thin, dry, and very bland. Honestly, I put this burger on level with standard fast-food burgers and not even close to the local specialty burger shops. The turkey burger was really good and supposedly the chicken tenders are great. I'm would probably rate LSA 4 or 5 stars if I ordered the turkey burger or chicken tenders with some apps but I had to go quintessential on my first visit so I have to rate them based on their signature offering. read more

Came with some friends and sat outside on the rooftop. It was comfortable without being too hot since it's covered. The chips and queso are good, but it's a thinner queso so the flavor depends on the bite you get. Pair it with a margarita and it'll be even better - I tried the pineapple margarita and it was great, and not overly sweet like some are! I got the Ready Freddie and really enjoyed it. It's a good sized burger and the toppings give it the perfect flavor. We did get fries for the table and the large fry is HUGE. We split it between all of us and still had leftovers. Our server was great. She was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu to give recommendations. read more

LSA Burger Co is the heart of Denton Texas!! This sweet little burger joint has earned it's five-star reputation for a reason. We had never been here before and knew the minute we walked up it was great with a line that long. We ordered the brisket queso for 6 bucks and the SPIRIT OF A HERO burger (double patty, double American, special sauce, lettuce, pickles) for 13 bucks. Did you know that they donate $2.00 to the Wounded War Heroes when you order this burger? I love it!!! As you can see from the reviews this is as good as it gets. We will be back again and again since we are now Mean Green Family :) read more

One of my daughters wanted to go, because she loves the brisket queso. We went and found that they were pretty busy. They wanted to seat us upstairs but I recall from last time how hot it is upstairs during August in Denton and asked for a downstairs table. It was LOUD. Lots of noise from the kitchen, and the music is turned up, which means everyone has to shout. It was very warm. A breezeway at the front door sure would help. The brisket queso was pretty good, if a little short on smoke. Our only complaint was that the chunks of brisket were too big for dipping, and we had no utensils. Oh, and the white corn tortilla chips were entirely too delicate for dipping queso dip with. The chips broke in the dip every time as it began to cool. I ordered a draft beer, but learned that their tap system was down, so took a bottle poured in a glass. The waiter was friendly and pretty good, but we couldn't hear each other very well. Poor guy. We got burgers and learned that the burgers are á la carte; they don't come with fries. I stupidly ordered garlic parmesan fries, which I was to learn were regular fries with garlic seasoning and dry pizza parlor-style pre-grated parmesan powder dumped dry (though admittedly liberally) over the fries, without being broiled or toasted thereafter. Served with fry sauce, these were mediocre. Our burgers were fine. Nothing special. We learned that adding avocado adds $2, and a cheese or gluton-free bun is an extra $2. Three people, three burgers, two sides and two drinks: $83 before tip. Add a $20% tip and that's a hundred dollars. I wished that we'd gone to Denton Independent. The staff were pleasant. Going to the bathroom to wash my hands, I had to contend with kitchen pass-bar traffic server traffic while an expediter hollered "Order Up!" to runners. The paper towel dispenser didn't work, and I had to pull the door open into the bathroom with my wet hands. Unsanitary. read more

Yes, yes, yes. Everything about LSA is a wonderful experience. We definitely would be back again. I love the casual atmosphere, and the food is always great. The wait staff is attentive, and they always take care of us. The atmosphere is very casual and laid-back. You can sit at tables, booths, or sit outside if you want. Great casual food, great fries, and a good mix of mixed drinks and beer. If you're looking for something casual downtown with good food and a great staff, LSA is your answer. What a great place to eat! I was already a little beer buzzed and hungry by the time we got here. Service was great as was the food. I was able to sample some new beer, unfortunately, the samples aren't 16 oz! My kids know how to spend money. Nice thing is mama knows when to pick up the tab. They switched off servers on us mid stream. Gotta say it went off without a hitch and those girls were team players for the customers and the business. To me that says they enjoy working here and that they have been taught customer service. Nice! They had a live band which was great! The music was good and varied. As a group we ordered the chips & guacamole at 5$. The chips were greasy and the guacamole was delicious! It came out as our waitress was taking our orders. Computers and communication was not slow here tonight. Great network! I had the Waylon burger which is a basic burger with LTPO at $6.75. DIL had the Bohemian veggie burger $7.00. Son had the Los Lonely burger with green Chile's and pepper jack cheese $9.00. Both kids added on the Copperhead lode on their burgers which is kick ass spicy. $2 bucks per burger. We had wonderful hand-cut fries at $2.75 per order. There is a lot of fries! One order is sufficient per table. Trust me. Enjoyed my entire visit. We took the stairs going up and again going down. If you're not good with stairs they do offer elevators. 6/2019 read more

Kevin deserves everything, he was so sweet in taking care of our table with having a friend in town. I normally get the chicken tenders with attitude with the house dressing and a side salad with balsamic dressing. This place screams Lone Star Attitude to honor our state's musical legends and trailblazers! The music and decor is all about the Texas music scene. You may even get a kick out of the names on the menu. The brisket queso is a must and is my favorite menu item. Burgers are okay. The burger I'm pretty fond of is the Chili Willie. The house made chili is delicious and definitely get without serranos if you don't do spicy! I tried to recreate my original favorite, Our Buddy, which is no longer on the menu. I ordered the Ready Freddy, no BBQ sauce, on Texas Toast. I should've ordered double patty because it was mostly toast. To share (or keep for yourself), I always get the garlic parm fries. I personally don't care too much for the fries unless I have the house dipping sauce. The Margarita flight is a great start to try a number of flavors! Be sure to stir them well to get flavor! I've also tried the Waterloo Blues which is a refreshing pomegranate gin cocktail! read more

Wow, wow, wow! Grandson's birthday. Per his suggestion/request we went here from south Irving, Euless and Keller. It was absolutely worth the drive. Huge platter of fries with some sort of shredded beef (I think) and a creamy chess. Yummy I enjoy a waiter who is interactive. The young man we had was so much fun to interact with. Pickles indeed. Burgers we some of the best I've ever had and the wife and I go places to specifically eat burgers. If it were closer, we'd eat here at least once per week. We'll be trying the one in The Colony. Of special mention is the murial/muriel/merial - huge wall painting - of famous Texas born singers. read more

Awesome spot. From the view, to the food, to the service, LSA is a gem in the Square. We started off with the famous Brisket Queso, which lives up to the hype. What I liked in particular about this appetizer was that the cheese was light, and the brisket wasn't greasy. Normally after chips and queso I feel like a blob and don't want to eat anymore (maybe it's just me) but their brisket queso was great I had gotten their "Attitude" burger, which has brisket, BBQ sauce, and a house mayo. Great burger all around, but one thing worth noting again- it's not a burger that sidelines you for the rest of the night. It has a ton of flavor but not at all greasy. In short- whether you are visiting Denton and need a place to eat, or want a good burger place LSA is the place to be. Parking in the area is hit or miss, and if you come at night you may need to park in the surrounding area rather than the square, but LSA is worth it! read more

I had been by LSA Burger many times, and decided to stop in on a whim. I was very happy I did, Tina was quite possibly the best waitress I've ever had. What a place! This was my first time coming to a place on the Denton square. The vibe of the place was great for a night out. We sat outside up stairs. First the bar. Which was okay. Then we sat with a great view of what I believe to be the courthouse. Great service from our waitress. I'd say it was reasonably priced and the burger was great. I wouldn't get the flight again because I didn't like all of the flavors, maybe half of them. So I'd just get a regular mixed drink. Would definitely go back. read more
