LSA Burger - Gramma & Ha-Goo - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Denton, Texas

It takes a lot to impress me of a restaurant known as a burger joint but this place is great! They have seating both downstairs and upstairs where there's a bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. I'm not sure what days they have live music, we went on a Monday evening and they had a band. My wife has difficulty walking stairs and they have quite a few of steps. I asked if they have an elevator and they gladly showed us in the back and a server was waiting for us as soon as we got out of the elevator. We settled this time to sit indoors, there's open windows so you get a little breeze. We started out with the brisket queso, it sounded fairly unique and so Texan. This must have been the best queso I've had! I'm not sure what kind of cheese but it thick and so flavorful. It had a little heat but not much and the brisket meat made it into a perfect combination. They have quite a few of different burgers and also non-red meat options. I settled for the Norah which is a lamb burger. All restaurants I've been to in DFW that have lamb typically mix lamb with some other meat but this burger had a solid lamb flavor and was so good. It was also moist and cooked perfectly. I tried just one of my wife's chicken strips and they were also amazing. Moist and lot's of great flavor. I tried a few fries and they were also good. I was trying to save room for dessert somewhere else afterwards otherwise I would have finished those leftovers too for sure. I can't wait to go back here! read more

The blue cheese burger is nasty the burgers my kids and their friends didn't like the burgers we didn't even eat all the burgers we took them home and gave them to the dogs read more

The food and atmosphere in this place were both amazing. We sat on the roof patio for dinner and saw a gorgeous sunset over downtown and a lovely view of the courthouse lit for the holidays. I had a burger in a lettuce wrap and it was SO much lettuce that it never got soggy (thank you!). The burger with chili and the Mac and cheese were also big hits at our table. Would definitely return and recommend. read more

LSA Burger are gourmet burgers done right the Texas way. When they say go big or go home LSA Burger took it seriously! My friends were surprised that we didn't have to wait and were immediately sat when we got there. The vibe inside was so fun. There's loads of chatter from other tables but there are also music videos playing that actually is louder than the chatter but isn't obnoxious. The music videos vary all different genres. Now the important stuff the food!!! My friend ordered a large order of Garlic Parmesan fries for the table to share. They come with a house dipping sauce. I wasn't in love with the sauce at first but it quickly grew on me. I decided to try the Spirit of a Hero Burger. It has a fried onion ring and fried Mac and cheese on top. This burger also come with house made chips (none of the other burgers come with a side). I was a little annoyed by the fact that the burger came with some things not mentioned on the menu description like loads of Serrano pepper slices, mustard and mayo. I was able to pick off the peppers and wiped off the mustard mayo mixture. Over all the burger is amazing. I was only able to eat half of the burger. The chips are kinda stale but if you dip them in their house made ranch dipping sauce they are delish. My friend got the Janis Crab Cake Burger. The crab cake was very tasty and moist but held it's shape. The Georgie Boy Burger was also ordered. Kinda a standard type burger but there were no complaints. We also got 2 of the Specialty Texas Cocktails. We tried the Queen B and Boys of Summer. Both drinks were very refreshing. The Boys of summer has a strong kick to it due to the Serrano peppers. I think next time I will try one of their margaritas. So glad I went to LSA Burger. I loved the experience. LSA Burger 113 W Hickory St Denton, TX 76201 Sunday July 8, 2018 6pm read more

The waiting room is quite large. While waiting able to grab a cold beverage. The staff are very friendly. Burgers are large and very good. Most of my party enjoyed the cut and shoot burger. Our server suggested the large fries for our table. It was a large enough serving for 4 adults. Worth a visit. read more

Amazing! Great little place in the heart of downtown Denton. We went on a non-gameday and it was packed. The burgers are all names after Texas Singers like the Georgie Boy (George Straight) which is what I had. Delicious. The hand make their fries, chips and sauces. They are amazing. Highly recommend but be prepared to wait. It's that good. read more

When my cousin from out-of-state came to visit me, I wanted to find a place where he could get some good Texas flavor and atmosphere, so I chose LSA Burger. We were not disappointed! It was great and made even more so by JR's excellent service! He started our meal with a great smile and an excellent overview of the menu since my mom and cousin had not eaten at the restaurant before, and he was attentive throughout our meal. The burgers were excellent, and the garlic parmesan fries were so good (the large size fed all 3 of us with some leftovers)! And my cousin LOVED the art and Texas decor. We will be back, and I hope to have JR again! read more

LSA is a must stop whenever we visit Denton. The food is fresh, satisfying and oh-so-delicious. I relied on my sweet waitress to recommend a few things I might not have tried before, and it really paid off! This time around I ordered chicken fingers, so honestly wasn't expecting anything fancy. I'm not exaggerating when I say they exceeded anything that's ever been referred to as "chicken fingers!" Moist chicken, super light and delicious crust and yummy dipping sauces. We also started with a special appetizer of brisket and quest French fries...oh my goodness, so yummy (but we definitely could have ordered it for dinner because it was so filling). I had a cocktail named Barry Nice (named after Galveston's own Barry White), and it was just the refreshing drink I was hoping it would be with Vodka, lemon and fresh strawberries. We sat on the shaded, open-air upper deck and were treated to a gorgeous view of the historic courthouse and square. Ethan was the absolute sweetest, most personable, and greatest server that truly enhanced my dinner at LSA! The food and drinks were delicious as always, but I wanna highlight how his presence and service made what started off as a terrible week for me end on a high note. All around the restaurant, he was giving this same level of personality and service to everyone, definitely made for a wonderful experience at a restaurant I have frequented for years read more

We came to Denton for a baseball tournament and saw this really cool rooftop restaurant LSA Burger. My son and I split the Georgie Burger and got the small side of garlic fries. My son also ordered the Mac n cheese and he can't stop talking about how good the Mac n cheese was. He also loved the burger and said he wants to come back for sure! Also the server Chandler was awesome, very friendly and told us about the hot spots to visit while we were here! Thanks Chandler!! read more

We came here for the first time on a Friday evening. They said the wait would be around 1 hour. We waited 29 minutes before we received a text that our table was ready. The service was excellent!!! The Chili Willie burger was really good, I added bacon. The fries were good too but I think a small would have been enough for the two of us. The strawberry margarita was good. Overall really enjoyed the food and drinks from LSA Burger, great burgers spot to add to your list if you like burgers. read more

We came here as a party of 4 and chose to sit outside on the patio. Social distancing and mask were in effect and while the weather was a bit chilly the heaters were on which made the friendly get together that much more intimate and enjoyable. A+ on the view. We started with chips and Brisket Queso. Which is a must try. Even with 4 adults 1 order held us long enough to get to the main course. 3 of us went with some modification of the Ready Freddie but took it a step further and added mac and cheese to the burger. Our other part member went with a salad a side of mac and cheese with chicken tenders. (There was also a plate of parmesan fries that we all split and ended up boxing up to take home for later). The food was good the service was good and the scenery was good all around everyone came hungry left happy and plan to return. read more

This place was amazing! The burgers were delicious, definitely a new top burger place for us. But on top of tasty food, the drinks were yummy too! The service was amazing; we had John, who was the type of waiter you can describe your preferences to and he'll surprise you with something perfect! Overall 5/5, though it's worth mentioning that we came in on a rainy Monday and it was pretty slow. I've seen this place with lines out the door on the weekends, so that's a factor to consider. I heard so many amazing things about this so perhaps my expectations were too high. The environment is great, our waiter is nice and attentive, but the food to me was just average. We like the parm fries, a large is definitely big enough to share among the 5 of us. I got a Georgia Boy (?) on lettuce 'bun' and my guy got the turkey burger. Mine is less than tasty, and the lettuce wasn't as fresh as I had hope. His turkey burger was moist but doesn't have much taste either. We ended up dunking each bite into ketchup. read more

I like this business because the food is very good. No real healthy options. Cool funky place. Great wait staff. Parking is a bit of a challenge if you need to be close. No combo meals. If you want French fries or other sides, one must order them separately. It gets expensive doing it that way. read more

Good food! Good vibes! Can be a little on the pricier side, but they have a great location and the burgers are big

Visited Denton on a Saturday and decided to try LSA Burger since I has heard rave reviews. After a brief wait, which we spent enjoying the quirky little shops nearby, we gain entrance to this unusual place. We were escorted upstairs where we had a Birdseye view of the bar. Chase greeted us like we were VIPs! He made suggestions on menu items as well. Brisket Queso is a must! The brisket was smoky and delicious. The top was garnished with brisket so I was pleasantly surprised to find brisket hidden in the queso too! I shared a Ready Freddie burger which a HUGE. It was delicious! We also ordered a large order of handcut fries for the table. I was so happy that the fries were cooked to perfection. No limp fries here! Chase checked in frequently to make sure all was well. He really did a fabulous job of making us fans. Experience and Food score is a 10/10. read more

Went here on a Sunday around noon and it was bustling busy but we were able to be seated in no time and the service was so friendly and amazing! Ordered a brisket queso to start off and it was sooo delicious! It came out within 5 minutes of ordering too! And to top that off, it was in the shape of a Christmas tree! For the Christmas season and spirit! There was plenty of chips and queso to fill 2 people alone! A definite must try if you come here to eat! I ordered a Los Lonely burger with a small side of garlic parm fries. While my friend ordered the Spirit of a Hero burger with everything on it and the chips. The food came out in perfect time, just as we finished our chips and queso. The Los Lonely burger was a little on the plain side but paired with the garlic parm fries, it was perfect! The garlic parm fries are a thing of their own and literally tasted so amazing! If you come here, you haaaave to try the garlic parm fries! A small size is only $3.75 and more than enough of a portion to fill! The fries come with a type of sauce that's similar to a creamy, flavorful ranch, in my opinion. I personally loved the sauce! My friend ordered the Spirit of a Hero burger with everything on it and it costs $12 but it was definitely worth the price! And from what I heard, it tasted amazing! We were actually already so full from eating the queso and fries alone, we both just ate half our burgers and saved the rest to go. So we had plenty of leftovers for later too! I definitely recommend this place! Will definitely be coming back! I would come back for the brisket queso and garlic parm fries alone, hands down! read more

Their prices indicate they're pretty proud of their burgers, but the meat was flavorful and the environment comfortable. We sat on the roof and was disappointed it was nearly impossible in that poor light to read my menu -- I really struggled. I can't wait til they bring live music back. read more

Great service and a beautiful atmosphere! Excited to try to fried oreos! Our server is so kind and helpful.

The food here was exceptional, and the service quite attentive. I had a friend in town from out of state and we wanted a quick bite to eat and a place to sit and chat. Our server made sure we had a full understanding of everything on the menu. My friend wanted a simple burger and they accommodated. I went for psychedelic with mushrooms and cheese, and it was outstanding. If you're in Denton on the square, LSA dominates for a reason. High quality food with great service.
