Not sure why this Lowe's has such a low rating (I admit I didn't read any other reviews). It's clean, the employees are always friendly, there is curbside pickup, and we've reliably been able to find everything we've need. We've been shopping at this location since 2019 with no inventory, pricing, or other issues. My kids frequent the bathrooms which are well maintained. There is a good selection of whatever you are looking for. Plus you can always check online or in the app ahead of time and count on what it says, for this location. Don't forget to sign up for the military discount if that applies to you! read more

My husband and I had to stop by this Lowe's today to grab some supplies for my mom. She's an electrician. The staff was super helpful and helped us find everything we needed! This particular location gets 2 stars based solely on its closeness to our home, and a single employee. Sad. Let's start with an order I had placed here that was supposed to be delivered in 2 days. It wasn't, and the store never bothered to contact me about a delay. I waited an additional 2 days, and still nothing. It was only a birthday gift to my husband, what do they care? I called the store and asked to speak to someone in charge. Hoping that if I went high enough, I may get answers. Instead, I got a very self- important manager named Paul. He couldn't be bothered to take my call. I know this, as the associate who tried to transfer me, didn't quite have the phone system down, and I heard their (one sided) conversation. Paul wished for me to leave him alone. Naturally, when someone spends 1,000 plus dollars in a store, they expect the item to arrive in an agreed upon timeframe. How bothersome of me. So, I drove to the store. I went to the customer service desk, where I spoke with a young lady named Katrina. She was very eager to help, and tried to call Paul for me 4 times! He eventually just ignored her calls, altogether. Paul never did come down from his high horse to address this store's faults. It was Katrina who handled my problem, and she came up with the best solution she could. I could disassemble an already put together grill, on their sidewalk, and load it piece by piece into my little Honda. Not exactly what I had in mind, but it's what I did. My husband wasn't going to have a late gift, when it wasn't my neglect that caused this. I did everything in my power to ensure he'd have it on time. I brought the pieces home, I used a wheelbarrow to walk each piece to the back side of the property, and I reassembled it by memory and common sense. It only took me 4 hours to do all of this. To sum up: Paul is a terrible manager. Lowe's should seriously consider putting someone with drive into that position. Home Depot will now receive ALL of my home improvement money, and my husband got the gift he wanted for his birthday, because I didn't allow some little man on a power trip to ruin an otherwise wonderful occasion. read more

I feel bad leaving a 2 star review because I am in the middle of a remodel and am at Lowe's almost every week to pick something up. The first time I came to deal with customer service was for an online pickup and although it was a seeming painless experience the employee asked for help and the other employee that came to assist was extremely rude and condescending. It made me feel bad for her. Then today, I was in line behind 2 customers with one behind me. There were 3 employees in the customer service area and only one was working. The other two employees were standing and talking loudly. Loudly enough for another customer to turn around to me and roll his eyes. In addition to that, both of these employees were not wearing their masks. Meanwhile Jasmin was the only employee actually working and was running 2 registers to try to keep up. Since it had already been measured, she said she would not give me a price until the measurement comes in. I asked if she could just calculate 723 which is the square footage x the cost of the carpet! She said that she would not do it!!! She couldn't get a calculator and multiply 723 x cost of carpet! Crap store when it comes to help. Only place to checkout was at the self checkout. Electrical box would not scan. Pushed the "help" button, light flashes red, person at the checkout ignores it. 4 other customers coming straight to her after I had pushed the buttom she checked out. Walked out and left what I had on the counter. Wish I had gotten her name. 1830 on Oct 04, 2022. Last time I ordered a dishwasher online. Was told it was ready. An hour waiting once I arrived for them to find it. Lowes will no longer get a dime from me, and I was in there every week for something for a whole house remodel. Sad place. Lowe's overall as a company has really dropped off. The online ordering doesn't communicate with the local store. The local stores do not communicate with each other. And finally the delivery group does not communicate with the store? Ordered 2 appliances for delivery, they literally delivered the wrong appliances, would not install completely and did not seem too concerned over the constant mistakes? After spending 3 months working with a rep at this store designing a new kitchen, ordering new cabinets and new granite, I was excited about my new kitchen. After having to reschedule the contractors because Lowes could not get the cabinet order complete I realized every one of the new cabinets were broken and damaged. Every single cabinet!!! Having already sent out invitations for my sons birthday party I had no choice but to pay my contractor to fix, glue, cover and rearrange the damaged cabinets to hide the damaged sides and move forward just so we can have cabinets under the granite that may or may not be installed in time for the party. After pleading with the department manager he offered me a discount to help offset the cost to my contractor. For over a week I couldn't figure out why the cabinets didn't seem like the right highlight. It wasn't till the granite guy came to measure for the template that I realized they ordered and charged me for the wrong cabinets. It took Lowes over 4 days to finally acknowledge the problem. I never got even an apology. In speaking to the store manager before I could even ask for a solution I was told "you're not getting the cabinets for free!" Remember I had to pay the contractor to fix EVERY ONE of the cabinets because we had no time to reorder and wait for new cabinets. The only way I could get the cabinets the right hight to be able to comfortably function in my kitchen is if I paid the contractor to uninstall them, cut them down to the right hight and reinstall them. After another 2 days passed corporate customer service rep finally put the store manager and the rep on the phone with me so they can explain to me that I would have to pay an additional 300+ for the granite to be remeasured. Again, no apology, no we are willing to take care of you, no we're sorry for the inconvenience. They only called me to tell me it would cost me more if I moved the island since its already been measured. They didn't have a solution of their own, only the bad news that it was going to cost me more. The corporate rep offered me an additional amount off my cabinets, I agreed, stated I don't wish to move forward with the granite because I had no faith that it would be installed correctly since every other step has been an absolute disaster. They confirmed I would be refunded and she would email me confirmation of the credit. I then received an email that since I decided not to move forward with the granite that they won't be refunding the agreed amount. The refund would be less and I need to sign off in order to be refunded. I have never been treated as badly as I have been treated by the management at this location. I will never step foot into this store again. Buyer beware!! Highly recommend you go elsewhere if you have a remodeling project because once you agree to the project they will not even admit to their mistakes much less be sympathetic to you as a consumer. read more

After not having a great experience at Home Depot, we became "Lowe's people." We have visited here numerous times and purchased big-ticket items like washer/dryer, dishwasher, and riding lawn more, to smaller things for projects around the house. Overall, a good experience and can usually find help relatively quickly when needed. Our only qualms were with the delivery of the bigger ticket items. I think each time there were issues with communication. Not sure if this is the fault of Lowes, or if they contract out their deliveries ... but that experience was definitely painful. read more

Not Veteran Friendly!! I went in the evening of 5/24/13 to purchase a self propelled lawnmower. I needed one due to an injury in the military and not being able to push a regular mower easily anymore. Anyway when I showed my Virginia issued proof of veterans ID the manager refused to accept it and would not give me the 10 percent discount. She said it was only from the Virginia DMV and not good enough for her to accept. Even though to get the card you have to show proof of veterans status to the DMV. This is the only store that has refused to accept this!! I went to Home Depot after this and had no problem purchasing a new mower with the discount.. read more

Despite how close they are to my house, I will go out of my way to go to Home Depot for anything else I need from here on out. I bought a washer/dryer in December...the delivery guys scraped my walls all the way up to the 3rd floor. Instead of using the proper equipment, they used the walls to brace themselves, scraping it and scuffing it up both flights of stairs. I've now been attempting for the last month to get a claim regarding this processed unsuccessfully. They've supposedly filed a claim with the delivery service, but I have no recourse at this point to get anything resolved. While Lowes is using a third party delivery service, this has left me not wanting to use Lowes for anything, ESPECIALLY for anything involving professional services. read more

No joke. Eye rolls, sighs, huffs and puffs, nasty tone- all of it. Got angry when we asked for help at the check out station. OK yelp readers this is going to be a long one.....on April 8 I called the Lowe's on Market Street in Winchester. I talked to a man who identified himself as the store manager and asked him about our parents PTO group setting up a table to sell discount merchant cards outside of their store. He said I needed to email him so I thanked him for his time, got off the phone and sent him an email. A week later I sent a second email because I hadn't heard from him yet. After several more days I happen to be in the area so I stopped into the store and ask to see him.... the man who identified himself as a store manager on the phone actually turned out to be Jamie, the assistant store manager and I spoke to him about my request. He claims not to have received the emails OK I get it maybe something happened ....but then he told me the request could not be honored because they only let Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts set up in front of their store. Now I knew that wasn't true because two weeks prior to that the 4-H of been in front of the store but that's another story ... he told me and I quote "it is a new company policy to only allow scouts to set up in front of the store" so I thanked him and left the store. I got to my car in the parking lot and I called Lowe's customer service to complain about this new "company policy". It was then I learned that this is not the Lowe's company policy it is not a new rule .... Jamie had out and out lied to me. The customer service lady asked if I was still at the store I said yes and we went back in while she was still on the phone so she could talk to Jamie. They had some conversation she told me that he told her "the manager made up that rule ... that was his manager's rule and that he didn't want to be in the middle of it." She then asked to speak to the manager he was going to take my phone into a private office to speak to the manager and I asked to go with him and I was told I was not allowed to go in that room OK so I asked him to have the manager come out. He did. He was visibly annoyed when he arrived. The manager, Scott Hines then spoke to the woman from customer service and they argued I could hear him arguing and telling him her telling her basically he didn't have time to deal with every group that wanted to set up in front of his store and things like that. When he got off the phone with her he gave me a business card and asked me to email him again. He said he had never seen the previous emails but like I said they have been addressed to assistant manager Jamie not to him. So I sent him an email the next morning and got a response that day asking for more information. I sent more information including a photo of the item we are selling and identified that they were all local merchants, there are 60 on this discount card, somewhere right in the same shopping center with him. He told me he would look at it and get back to me on Monday I believe this was Thursday, Because he said he was going to be off on Friday. On Monday he denied our request based on one of the merchants out of the 60 who chose to participate in the discount merchant part. He claimed that a local nursery Webers, was a direct competitor of Lowe's. (If you understand how a small family nursery is competition for a huge multi national corporation please let me know!). Ok... I can vaguely understand if they feel it's competition ... so be it. What I'm really angry about is that the manager and the assistant manager absolutely lied to me and were highly disrespectful. The PTO organization making the request is a local school! In the past my business and my family have spent A lot of money in this particular store. I put all new appliances in my kitchen and laundry in the past four years, according to my tax accountant I spent almost $13,000 on supplies and tools for my business last year all at this Lowe's. When you're talking about a multi national corporation it's not a huge amount of money but it is an important issue to me and I will not stop shop at this Lowe's anymore. I will go outside of my immediate area to shop at another Lowes or Home Depot or something else or maybe even Webbers their competition! I went to Lowes on Sunday, September 10, 2017. My checkout time was 10:50. I had three grandchildren with me and a list from Sacred Heart Catholic Church to purchase cleaning supplies for the Hurricane Harvey people who were dealing with flooding. Our priest advised us to purchase 5 gallon buckets with lids and he provided a list of supplies to fill the bucket. It included many cleaning supplies and I had no idea where all of these supplies were located. A store employee named Lisa became our personal shopper and directed us all over the store to locate all the items. I could not have done this without her! Thank you, Lisa! read more

I had an amazing experience finishing my basement through Lowes. Their paint, and their flooring and installation. Their customer service in the store was wonderful!! Setting up an appointment to install my carpet was a breeze. They were booked for a few weeks, but told set up an appointment for us to assure us we were getting it installed soon, and even told us if an installation was cancelled they would let us know and come earlier. The installers did a wonderful job installing the carpeting on my stairs leading to the basement, and in the basement. I would highly recommend this company. I made the mistake of going through floors and more for the granite counter top on the bar in my basement; to say the least, we pretty much paid for it all in the deposit 3 weeks ago and STILL do not have an appointment to have it installed. Lowes is a little more expensive, but I say they are totally worth it for the customer service and quality provided. I will most DEFINITELY be going to Lowes for the rest of my home remodeling. I ordered three appliances from Lowes recently. The dishwasher and microwave were in stock in Martinsburg, WV however the stove was not. They told me it was available in Winchester, VA but they cannot order from another store (strange) so I had to place a separate order. The stove arrived on time however was missing the cleaner. I called the store and they said that was the manufacturers doing and to contact them directly however I feel the store has a responsibility to deliver all items affiliated with the stove, operation manuals, etc. They pretty much told me I could buy a bottle from them or order it from the manufacturer. Then the next day the Martinsburg, WV store delivered my dishwasher but forgot the microwave. They are suppose to bring it tomorrow. They don't appear to be very organized to say the least. read more

Insane! Lowes "Professional Services" sold me on a deck construction job beginning of September, charged over $26k to my credit card on the same day, then postponed the material delivery and start of service 4 times, and now, after having waited 1.5 months on them getting started on a project that should have been completed by now, called me to inform me that they would just "refund" me and not follow through on delivering the ordered and paid service. I got completely screwed by Lowes: out of $26k, out of 1.5 months lost, dozens of hours in trouble-shooting their sub-contractor LKN Custom Homes, 1.5 months of a lot of money tied up with Lowes. You have to be aware that Lowes only has one single sub-contractor and if they get to busy and try to find ways to drop projects again, Lowe's has no replacement for them. Months after having planned and designed the deck project, after having had a structural engineer sign off on it, after having collected the customer's money, after having worked with the customer's money, Lowe's will simply drop the project for not having a sub-contractor available and refund you the money without interest! I have experienced first hand that, trying to use Lowe's "Professional Services" for a construction project, can make you lose money (interest for funds withheld by Lowe's), your own man hours (to try to get Lowe's and their sub-contractors to deliver the service you paid for), the opportunity to build something within the timeframe you need it, and pretty much all your nerves. Highly advice not to use Lowe's or LKN Custom Homes. Unfortunately, I have experienced that they are dishonest, bully customers around and manipulate each other (between Lowe's personell and sub-contractors). As a customer you're stuck in the middle between them. Worst experience with a construction vendor I have ever made! read more

Bought a refrigerator and had it delivered. Sales guy copped an attitude when writing up the sale. I noticed he didn't include the $15 fee for hauling away my old refrigerator. I told him about it. He said "oh don't worry, it's all taken care of. It wasn't. Delivery people showed up with no order to take old refrigerator. My wife spent two hours on the phone prior to their arrival making sure they had the correct instructions. The store department management assured her that the $15 was charged to her credit card and said she would send an email confirming. Email never sent. Store people are terrible and just don't care. Delivery guys were great and took the old refrigerator, even though it was not on their work order. The delivery guys were a third-party co., not Lowe's employees,...thank goodness. The Lowe's employees we interacted with were all displaying bad attitudes and were completely incompetent. read more
