Pro: big parking lot, key making machine, self check out. Con: none. This place is ok and the only reason I went here was to make a copy of my keys for the house. The machine is fairly simple with screen prompt on what to do. The have this continuous promotion that if you make two keys then the 3rd key is free so that cool. All in all, an ok place to come and make copies of key if needed. read more

I did a small plumbing order of 20 pcs of 3/4" PVC pipe and some connectors. I and checked out before my materials are retrieved. My order was a complete mess. They can't tell the difference between 1/2" and 3/4 in pipe they tried to give me 11- 3/4 pcs and 9- 1/2" pcs. There were connection pieces in the mix that had nothing to do with what I ordered. After purchasing less than what I originally planned on (I cancelled the original order and pulled the parts my self) the cost was more!. Customer service with anyone younger than 40 was a joke. They just do not care and expect to tell professional tradesmen what will and will not work. One kid was sent to help me and did not have a clue of what was even on the order he had in his hand! An older gentleman lowes employee was in the isle, helped me find one piece (that also wouldn't work) then walked away.Hire some REAL construction people. No wonder no one is in your stores anymore. I will NEVER trust Lowes again nor will I shop there unless I absolutly have no other option. read more

This store has turned into absolute garbage. The customer service is horrible, the employees are rude and they act like they could care less to help you. I ordered a wall oven. Sounds fairly straightforward right? Wrong. They managed to screw it up royally. First, the unit was delayed for over 2 weeks. After I received notification the unit arrived at the store, I went it to pick it up noticing the box was completely hammered. The oven was horribly bent up and the stainless surface has scratches all over the place. I called the store to have them pick the unit up. They refused and stated I needed to come in to process the return within 48 hours. I brought the damaged unit back in my truck and went inside to process the return. The lady rudely said "We can't process the return if the unit it not here." I told her it was here but in my truck. She then stated "You will need to bring it in." I then told her I could not because the thing was HEAVY. I finally got someone to help me unload it and my return was processed. I will NEVER buy anything in the way of appliances from this place. The service sucks, the shipping is atrocious and these people just don't care about customers. I ended up buying my oven from Spichers Appliance. They were professional, communicated well and had the stock I wanted. read more

I went to Lowes to buy a hammer drill, found one on display and looked up the number available, there were 3. Looked in all the cabinets and did not see one. I asked the guy that works the tool section, he did all the things I had just done (looked up # available, looked in the cabinets, looked at the overhead section etc.), he didn't see it. So, rather than maybe check the back, ask another employee, check with...I don't know, anyone, he simply said "I don't see it", and that was the end of the potential sale. You're missing not one, or two, but THREE 200 dollar hammer drills, don't you think this might be an issue? Maybe do a little due diligence? Nope, just headed back to the window I found him licking initially. Generally, this place does an ok job, customer service can seem like they are doing you a favor but they get the job done. Terrible customer service! We ordered carpet there and were repeatedly lied to regarding the date it would be ready for installation, AND our card was overcharged by $150. Spent more than 12 hours on the phone trying to get someone to straighten out the order and the overcharge. When it was finally installed LATER than promised ( because it was cut incorrectly), the installers broke a valuable case and left a mess. I will never deal with them again. read more

This Lowe's has the worst customer service of any location I've ever been to. I'm not basing this on one visit in particular, but 3 visits over the past several months alone. We have another Lowe's right here in town, however if I'm going to Winchester to shop or visit my daughter who lives in Winchester, I will go to this location. My first negative interaction occurred in May when I needed to purchase a gate lock. I was in the correct aisle, yet unable to find the item I was looking for. I saw a male employee, around 40-50 years old, wearing a gold chain, very tan/leathery skin with a shag haircut. I asked him if he knew where I could find the gate latch. After huffing and puffing and rolling his eyes in front of me, he walks over to the aisle I just came from, while I am walking behind him. He then proceeds to move the big metal stairs (to be used by employees only) and points to the door latches and says "there they are!" Then proceeds to walk off... I was dumbfounded. My most recent negative interaction was just yesterday, when I went to the store to look for outdoor patio furniture cushions that were shown as "available" at the Winchester location. I entered through the outdoor/plants entrance and walked up to 3 employees chatting away at the check out. After waiting to be acknowledged, I said excuse me, do you know where I can find the outdoor patio furniture cushions? The girl then responded "If we have any, they'd be inside".. I then asked her WHERE inside?? She said aisle 25 or 26. I went inside and perused aisles 25,26 and the surrounding aisles. When I didn't see any cushions, I approached a woman working at a computer station. I then asked her if she knew where the outdoor cushions would be that I saw available online. She responded that they had already been "put away" for the season. This location has the rudest employees as well as the laziest employees. If you're looking to trim the fat Lowe's, start at the top (management) then work your way down. You're paying too many employees for the amount of work that's been done. read more

We had Dennis out for a deck and fence estimate to our home. I showed up on time and upon his arrival we noticed that we did business with him before 4 years ago. At the time there were some mixups and delays , but as it turned out lowes did a very nice job.My new fence was of better materials and very straight. So we were pleased to see him. We got the fence quote and he managed to get a price that we thought reasonable.So we wrote him a check for 1/2 and charged the rest. Several days prior to materials being delivered we realized that we needed these funds for something else that was very important. We called Dennis to cancel the install for now and he said ok. However he said there would be a restock fee of $1200 and his manager was insistent on getting it. Some time has passed and no refunds ? We called Dennis and asked him what's going on? He just got back to us today and gave us the great news that his manager had waved the restocking fee. Kudos to Dennis and his manager for having the smart sense to do the right thing. We have just purchased a new property and my loyalty to lowes as the place to go is now sealed. This was a good move on their part because all lumber, tools, supplies, garden/ lawn care products and other products will be from them in the future. P.S. we had already purchased Dish washer. And laundry pair from them. read more

I'm renovating my house and have had made quite a few trips to Lowe's in the last year and a half. I will say that this location is understaffed however the staff they do have is excellent. Specifically, I want to praise Karen Miller in cabinets/kitchen and Brad. These two have both gone above and beyond to help me with my projects. I hope that Lowes appreciates them as much as their customers do. read more

So after The Home Depot shenanigans with canceling and no show deliveries I decided to see what Lowe's could offer. I will say they had several customers in the appliance section and I saw a few familiar faces from the other store (I had to get my refund and I noticed people that were at the other store). Maybe they had the same issues? ! Anyhow I was greeted, I selected the chrome LG washer and dryer and to my surprise they had them in stock. Nice! And if I placed the order before 4pm they could have done next day delivery. So they are set to come out Saturday. I hope things arrive. I'm confident since I was told they have been using the same delivery company with no recent onset of issues. 5 stars so far as customer service was great, they had the product in stock, pretty fast turnaround in delivery was available. I also needed some cool rope lights for a trey ceiling and they had this on hand. All in all a beautiful trip to Lowes to cure the massive headache the last few weeks with the other store. Thank you Lowe's! Oh and they offered the 10 percent discount for military active and vets. Very nice. read more

I bought my first home last year. So needless to say Lowe's has profited a lot from me over the last 12 months. I go here for everything I need for home improvement. Lowe's is way better than Home Depot; hands down. I bought all new appliances here. As well as a just about everything else under the sun. Most of the time the customer service is good. Sometimes they have no clue what they are doing. But more often than not its helpful. My biggest complaint was with the washer/dryer that I bought. It was a stackable set. I told them I need a stackable set, due to the space constraints of the room they were going into. When the folks showed up to install them, they wouldn't stack them cause the work order didn't say to. Plus there was some special bracket needed to do so that they didn't have. So I ended up running back and forth to Lowe's several times getting everything I needed (Lowe's sold me the wrong bracket twice in the same night, the second time they had packaged a returned brake in a different box!). Anyways, eventually I got it working, but it made for a bad New Year's Eve, as I was having a lot of guests over while trying to get my washer/dryer sorted. I go to Lowes always, but today was not a good experience. I could not find an item I was looking for, so I found a sales associate (in another area) and asked for help. He told me that he would get someone for me. 8 minutes later, a sales associate walks by and made sure she didn't make contact with me, I guess for fear I would ask her for help. I waited another 5 minutes (now 13 minutes total) with still no help. I finally just left. I am a Lowes fan (I hate going into Big Orange), but from how on I will always try to go to the North Winchester store. read more

Been here a number of times. Purchased many items for finishing off our new-home-construction. Also, been back for other weekend project items. Folks here are very helpful. They will take you to the item you need, not send you on a journey. Yesterday I wanted a stud finder that locates the stud WOOD, not just a magnet one to find the nail/screw because those are much harder to locate, and they had exactly what I wanted. Lowes won't allow me to review a refrigerator I bought at one of their stores on their website so I will do it here..tem # 623784 Model # WRT311FZDW Whirlpool 20.5-cu ft Top-Freezer Refrigerator (White) DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!! It is less than 2 yrs old and has stopped cooling and making ice. I have tried replacement parts but that did not help. My bad for not purchasing the extended warranty, didn't think I would need one since I have only ever owned 2 fridges in my life because they last long. Not this one! A hunk of junk. I am about to buy another one but not from Lowes. If I did they would take this one that doesn't work, refurbish it and sell it to someone else I'm sure. Horrible product. read more

Terrible customer service experience. Went in to purchase play sand and some gardening tools. We passed several associates while looking for the sand, all except one of whom neglected to make eye contact (thank you to the associate who was cleaning up a spill but was still attentive enough to point us in the right direction after overhearing our conversation about the sand location). We made our way toward the lumber section and passed the lumber desk, where 2 associates were engrossed in conversation. My husband asked whether anyone would be able to help us load the sand, and one of the associates said, "yeah, someone should be over there," then returned to his conversation with the other associate. We did not see any associates near the sand, but there was a flatbed cart, and my husband and I loaded it with 10 bags of sand. We made our way to checkout, and realized we still needed a tarp. I asked a checkout associate whether I could leave the sand near the checkout area so we could find the tarp and was told "it will be in the way." I asked where I could leave it and was told that I should have left it over in lumber where someone could help us load it (thank you for imparting that gem, sir. I'll be sure to remember it next time I purchase 500 lbs of sand to fill a sand box but now I'm half a store away). No offer to call anyone to help and no solutions were offered. At that point, we left the store and went next door to Home Depot, where we found the same items at a comparable price with a reasonable customer service experience. Attempted to reach a manager after we left, but after the call was transferred, no one answered. We have shopped primarily at Lowe's for years for home improvement purchases. This place has nothing but amateurs working here. If you need to ask a technical question, good luck. You will most likely get a blank stare instead of an answer to your question. However the first thing you will have to do is actually find someone in whatever department you are in to talk to, staffing is a big problem. All this said Lowes is miles better than the Winchester Home Depot, thats why I give it 2 stars instead of the 1 star I want to give it. read more

This may be my favorite Lowe's of all time. It's well-stocked, the employees are helpful, everything is priced clearly, and they frequently (late spring until early November) have fantastic plant clearance: $1-5 perennials, and last visit I found $.50 mums! I bought a new Bosch dishwasher in late August at Lowe's Winchester store. It has now broken down twice and the outsourced repair company has failed to fix it permanently twice and is due to return again to replace a circuit board. Lowe's has not offered to step in and replace our unit. Poor customer service there. I do not recommend them. read more

Bad experience today although the other Lowe's on the north side of town has been great. I came to buy mulch that was on sale, and they said the sale was over. There was no expiration date on the sale ad that I got by email. I showed them the ad on my cell phone and asked them to show me where the expiration date was. They said that didn't matter. I feel they should have emailed corrections to ads that failed to include an expiration date to save customers the inconvenience and the expectation that the sale price was still good. I'll still shop at the Lowe's on the north end of town but I'll go to Home Depot instead if I'm near this one. read more

most horrible customer service I have ever had, well that is the problem I didn't get any! My other half and I were shopping in the garden section for some things we needed to finish our yard at our new place. We were the only people in the garden section and as we were just about to check out... they closed the garden center check while we had to flat bed carts of plants and other needs for our outdoor projects. No one came to ask or let us know that they were closing down or ask if we needed help or close to check out. even though a manager of the store ( I think her name was mary) was helping close down and did not bother to ask if we needed any assistance. I brushed it off. so we go inside to use the only lines open... the dreaded self check out. which is wonderful if you have a couple items, but not when you have a lot of random stuff, esp. from the garden department near the end of summer. so we proceeded to use self check out until the 3rd item we scanned was not scanning as it should. so I asked the self check out attendant for help and was told " I am too busy with another customer". I laughed. proceeded to the customer service counter where I did encounter one nice person who I asked " I have items not scanning at the correct price can I finish and come here for a price adjusted?" she said well just have the person attending self check out help you, and I said well she told me she was too busy. her jaw dropped much as mine did. mean while during this conversation the same manager personal that help the garden department person close his register and saw us out there with carts of stuff overheard the convo I had with the customer service person and without saying anything to me rushed over to help my other half with our purchase, although she did not stay to help with the rest of the transaction which we needed further assistance not because we don't know how to work self check out. she and the self check out attendant ultimately had to come help once again, very rudely as if we were a bother. After this experience I will never shop at this lowes again! this is the worse customer service I have ever received! I have never even been so annoyed to the point I wanted to right a review. needless to say I went to home depot 2 days later and wow how amazing they were.! Lowes off pleasant valley sucks. and I will be contacting the corporate office soonly! read more

Went to Lowe's this morning because they have self checkout and I was in a hurry. All of the self checkout were inop and only one cashier was open. I stood there forever without moving. Apparently the customer at thr counter needed a price match. Took forever for a manager to come and a long time to get resolved. No apologies or explanations. One cashier on a Sunday morning a 9:45 is ridiculous. Home depot is a stones throw away. read more

I was unsure when I walked in with paint color I had chosen but after his input and changing the color I left happy with my purchase. Over the years I have purchased many DIY and household items from Lowes. So, I purchased a Kobalt 80V mower three months ago expecting good service. The manager promised that Lowes stands behind the Kobalt electric products for 5 years. I even bought the extended warranty. It was a big surprise that when my son hit a rock and the blade bent. This jammed the motor and also shorted it out. When I tried to take the mower back for an exchange, the evening Customer Service supervisor started picking at me for the bent blade. After discussing the issue, she told me that I would need to go back to the manufacturer's warranty. She stated that Lowes would not stand behind the product after all. So much for a five year, worry free, product warranty. I did not expect to pay $ 500 (plus the extended warranty) for barely three months of it working. After holding me up for about a half hour, I requested the manager to get past the difficult "customer service" supervisor. I finally had a different manager/supervisor show and start up all over. She took my Lowes card again to verify my purchase again. Then, she told me that she may consider sending the mower off for repair - instead of working out an exchange. After being insulted by her, I told her that the lack of service would be reported to the BBB and Yelp. She told me that she considered that a threat to her. Finally, I was so disgusted with my treatment and lack of service, I just took my card back and left the $ 500 broken piece of junk.
