I also use them exclusively for my mulch which is priced so much better than even the 5 bag for $10 that you see often if you have your own trailer/pickup to haul off without a delivery fee. And of course, they have a great selection of healthy plants.

On install day they planted the wrong size trees. My order was supposed to be two 30-gallon trees and instead I got 15gallon trees. When I pointed out the mistake, there was no apology. In fact, they gave me a hard time and were reluctant to replace them. They eventually did come back, removed the wrong trees, and replanted. The replanted trees are now thin and stressed going into winter from double transplant shock. I hope these trees will bounce back strong in the spring. If they do not, I hope Meadows Farm Nursery in Winchester will comply with the warranty and replace them with healthy trees. If I had to do it all over again, I would not choose Meadows Farm and go with another local Tree/Plant nursery where I will get all around better service, Quality trees, and better pricing!

Want to know about flea prevention on dogs? Ask. The best feed for baby chicks? Same. Anything garden, livestock, equine, bovine, feline, poultry, or... Well, pretty much just ask them about anything. They've got the best seeds, the best feeds, the best fertilizer. Just go. They'll help you even if you're the most sophisticated city slicker around.

BUT not only is Southern States cheaper than Lowe's, Home Depot, or Tractor Supply - but their incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff will go out of their way to help you, instruct you, give the best advice they can, order anything you need and point out the best deals/buys for whatever you are looking for. We have an account with them and they are so familiar with our farm needs that they are quick to pull up our account before we can even provide them with the number - they just have us memorized. They've never tried to make sale on something more expensive if the "off-brand" is just as good of quality. They are just terrific! They are always my first pick for feed, fencing, vaccinations, or even just some quick and helpful advice. Their business card board inside the store is also a great place to find local produce, animal sitters, livestock vets, etc. Definitely a great store and great staff!

I also had no choice in using them since Home Depot set up the delivery.
