He also cleaned all the pet hair from the system, so it came home looking new. The process took nearly 10 days, but only because ordering the power button took a week. Jesse had explained my options and let me decide if I wanted to replace my disk or hope the current one would last another year or more. When I decided to go ahead with the solid state disk, he migrated the old drive's contents to the new drive and returned the old drive with the system so that I bury it properly! ;-) My computer works great now -- all my apps, documents and settings are intact, but it runs faster and is, once again, easy to boot!

I tried all the usual "fixes" including tech support inquiries with the HighPoint RocketRaid PCIe card manufacturer and Sans Disc, the RAID enclosure manufacturer. Nothing worked. I happened by Custom Computers while driving to Winchester on Route 11. From entering the shop I could tell these guys were REAL geeks without the big-store squad. When I asked where I could find a stand to hold paper beside my computer so I could copy the information, an employee walked me over and helped me find exactly what I needed. My only complaint would be that there is often no one at the cash register. Then I notice that the light is not on and I have to walk over to the copy desk to get checked out.
