I ordered a few days ago with Mark at the pro desk. We both put in the order together to be delivered 4/2/25. On delivery day I only received 2 out of 22 items, and they didn't bother to notify me that they changed the pickup warehouse, delayed the delivery shipment by a full week, and weren't going to deliver the full order on the day. It wasn't until the delivery driver came that I found out. When I asked him, he said there might be another delivery that day, but he didn't trust Lowe's to come through and that I should call them. I called the north Seattle store where I ordered the shipment from, and Mark said he would call the delivery department to see what they can do then would call me back. He never called me back. The next day, I called Lowe's customer service, and got routed to delivery. Curtis from delivery put me on hold, telling me that he was going to try to find an earlier delivery date. Without communication, he transferred me over to the supplier department, I assume because he didn't have a good solution. The poor lady in supplies couldn't help me because the shipment is en route and their backend systems wouldn't let her give me a full refund until they are delivered. I asked to speak to someone she reports to, and she said they wouldn't be able to help, so she wasn't going to do this. This company places all liability on the customer and does nothing to rectify their mistakes. Beware purchasing anything through them. I'm stuck with a store credit that I can't do anything with because they're a terrible fraud of a company. read more

Really crappy service. Barely reachable on the phone- automated machine keeps sending you to a survey instead of a human and after you complete the survey it sends you to a survey again in an infinite loop. When you finally reach someone, they are unhelpfulness. Cannot give you any information before you make a purchase (including important things like delivery schedule that would impact your decision). And no empathy and poor customer service by just saying that's the way they've been doing it for years. That explains a lot given their ratings. If your product is available for purchase anywhere else, highly recommend you get it elsewhere. read more

Long Post Alert...Sorry but hopefully this saves you the time. I would give them 0 stars if I could. On Wednesday 12/4/2024 I went into the Lowe's in Seattle, WA on Rainier and went into the appliance selection. I literally spent $2,000 and bought a LG Thin Q washer and dryer set. On Saturday they sent 2 people to install. The installer refused first to install my washer saying the piping is too old, no it's not. He didn't know what he was doing. Then he took the anti back flow cap off the dryer and took it with him. Not only is is needed BUT you can't just find that and replace it. His customer service and mannerisms was so horrible I asked for his supervisor number, he refused. Then proceeded to speak Spanish. Walked out my home and came back with someone on the phone. If I asked to speak with a supervisor and he refused to give me a number, why should I believe that it was someone from installation on the phone? Like he continues to talk shit in Spanish. Who does that?! So I went to Lowe's on Rainier to complain they didn't care. In fact they gave me a number to the installation department who were not helpful. I woke up to a refund of $32 for the delivery HOWEVER what about the missing part off my dryer? I went to 3 Lowe's yesterday to try find the dryer or something and they don't carry it in store now. And all 3 I went to Tukwila store especially (MyMy was her name) have the worst customer service I have ever received. I don't know if I was being disrespected because I am a black woman who went in without a male with me to make sure it went smooth, or what but I do feel like race played a lot into how I treated. I said I wanted money back because this entire situation is insane and they sent me $32 for delivery. Not a word for Oscar's disrespect in my house, or his boldness to take the piece off my dryer. I've shopped at this particular Lowe's off and on for over 18 years. I've made the switch to them from Home Depot years ago. And yes, there are no convenient indie hardware stores in Shoreline and North Seattle. This Yelp post is specific to a return just made this morning. Last Friday 6/25/21, I bought 3 fans worth over $216 prior to Heat Dome 2021. One I kept, but the two box fans, one unopened and another used only on Fri, Sat, and by Tues went kaput. I was in an AC hotel and didn't even use it during the worst days Sun/Mon. So a week later mid-morning (7/2/21), I brought the two box fans and my receipt. I also reviewed Lowe's return and exchange policies online prior to ny visit. I went to the return counter, explained my situation. The Lowe's associate didn't second question it or torment me. She just did the procedural scans and made the return in cash. Normally, it would have reversed back onto my debit card. But a fradulent charge over the weekend rendered that card terminated by the bank. So a cash refund was provided instead. Considering what cumulative stupid things I've put up with the past few weeks, this Lowe's visit was very positive. Got to celebrate small victories whenever possible. I hope the rest of the day gets better for that dour Lowe's associate though. She did her job, however, despite being masked I could tell she was not in a great mood. We purchased an electric range (GE) from Lowe's and paid to have it delivered and installed, and the old gas range removed. The ordering process was fine but the delivery process wasn't. The company that Lowe's used to deliver the range did a sub-par job: they didn't install the range properly -- the bottom drawer was left on the floor and scratched our wood kitchen floor when we pulled the drawer out. One of the plastic pins to hold the drawer in place was missing so we had to go to the hardware store to purchase some other plastic pin that we used to Jerry rig a solution so the drawer wouldn't hit and scratch our kitchen floor whenever we pulled it out. Lowe's sent a survey which expired within 3 days, before I could fill it out (I was traveling out of the country) so I couldn't even give them proper feedback! Better to buy from Costco! read more

Lowe's used to be "the good" hardware store. That time has passed. I'll start off with the positive: the store is clean and well lit. Everything else is just bad. Products are not placed in the correct spot, huge gaps where product has not been restocked... and the biggest issue: absolute lack of staff. Seriously. I don't think this store has more than three employees. One to watch the self-checkout line, one to process returns, and the final employee to run the pain mixer. Good luck if you don't know EXACTLY what you want and EXACTLY where it is. They even have a security robot that looks like a Dalek from "Dr Who". Sunday afternoon we needed to return a malfunctioning Wagner paint sprayer after the 48 hour deadline imposed by store policy. We had purchased an extended warranty and Jose said we needed to call them to get an RA number and then he could override the system and issue a refund. We were getting frustrated but he remained helpful and calm. The call went nowhere, they said they couldn't issue an RA, the manufacturer had to do it and then transferred us to Wagner and we heard a recording that they were closed. By this time Jose had to take his break and Joey was now helping us. Joey was also professional and friendly. He offered to call the manager, whose name i didn't get, who listened to the whole story and our experience with the extended warranty customer service and overrode the denial and Joey was able to issue our refund. Even though the experience could've gone sideways several times, the professionalism of Jose, Joey and the Manager made our experience end well. Thanks to all of you!! read more

To deal with Seattle's rampant crime they have installed locked metal fences in front of shelves. You want a utility knife? You have to get someone to unlock the fence. Good luck with that. Looooong story. Ordered 2 doors back in MAY. Took months for them to install my screen door and was told my "custom" basement door, which they came to measure THREE times and then told me it couldn' be installed. They told me I could return the door and there would be a re-stocking fee. Rediculous!!!! Have been dealing with customer service for MONTHS and even went over to the store. Wrote to corporate and went back and forth with "executive customer relations". 7 months later I had someone else install the basement door and got no help from Lowes. Got a measly gift card for my troubles . It was a nightmare. Get your home improvement items at a local small company. They would provide better customer service. I visited the tools department this evening with lofty goals of getting a canister of propane. For those that are wondering, these are located on the tippy top shelves in the tool aisle. When I walked in, I was confident that I could be in and out. No nonsense. I saw that there were several individuals on duty, all looking bored. Unfortunately, no one offered to help me, then when I requested assistance, I didn't get helped. I waited for 25 minutes to be acknowledged. Mind you, the employees were chatting with each other and there were very few customers. The lack of customer service is surprising. The worst customer service of any store I have ever shopped on line. Super confusing website (showed me picking up in Silverdale even though it was being shipped). I order a number of items - that they show in stock and avoided a shipping charge. One item cancelled (NOW out of stock?) and shipping charge added to order. I went to store to purchase item (needed!) but Customer Service said they could not reverse charge. I left and called corporate customer disservice. CSR checked with manager but "because order was (NOW) less than $45 the shipping charge remains". This has never happened to me at any other on-line site when THEY have lowered the amount and then apologize for the lack of product. I went to Fred Meyer and purchased all items on my list. Never going back to Lowe's - even for paint where employees give great customer service. They make it super hard to reach them - no corporate emai listed. Only phone numbers and a 30 minute wait. They WILL call you back. But 30 + minutes later I was LONG GONE. read more

I am very disappointed with their service because I always thought Lowe's cared about customer service. I learned today that this store either doesn't care or is not adequately staffed. I came to get some window blinds and couldn't get anyone for almost 30 minutes. Then when they paged them, seems like nobody was available to help me. The manager who apparently knew how to cut blinds, the only one from the store left at 6pm. Not only they don't have the right resources but they are not properly trained. Good thing there's a Home Depot a couple of blocks away, this will be my last time at this store. Call before you go to this store before you end up like me. Truly horrendous customer service - if I could give 0 stars, I would. I bought a gas range to get delivered and installed back in July. When they came the first time, I was told there were corrosion issues with the gas spout (whatever that means) and therefore they were not able to install right then. Fair enough - I call a plumber who came by and literally said he saw no issues, but went ahead and replaced the spout anyway for a total of $597, which SHOOK ME TO MY CORE. But wanting to get the problem fixed quick, I bit the bullet and paid the bill. Fast forward, I call Lowe's to schedule a delivery date once again, and was told they would come by on a Friday -- they said they would call and let me know when, but no calls over the entire weekend. Come Monday, I call in again asking for assistance -- took about 4 tries to get ahold of a person. Finally said they would be able to come out the following day. The installation crew came (as nice as they were) without proper tools to do the job and even used stuff from our toolbox because they didn't have the right wrenches or tape. (I do want to clarify, this is not on them - they're just trying to do their jobs as best they could and I totally get that.) That being said, when they finally get through the installation, we arrive at the first kicker: THERE WAS A MISSING LEG PART So now we have to use a pan to level it enough to cook... And had we had all the pieces to finish the installation, we would learn THE GAS RANGE DOESN'T ACTUALLY FIT IN MY KITCHEN It is literally 2 centimeters too wide to fit which is no way their fault - just saying we would've figured it out before they had left if we had been able to install the thing in its entirety. **DEEP BREATHS**... After realizing I'm going to have to actually return this range and opt for a smaller one that will fit, I go into the store for help (either to do an exchange or return). I walk up to customer service to tell the situation and was given much less empathy than I would hope for, but whatever. I originally wanted to do an exchange so they can just bring a new one and pick up the old, but it took another 45 minutes at the appliance desk to get someone to even acknowledge I was there waiting. At this point, I was beyond furious and opted to no longer do business with Lowe's. I asked them to schedule a pickup for return and was told to just basically wait for them to get back to me (no confirmation, no time window) which brings us to the present. We'll see if they reach out tomorrow... I usually don't post reviews like this, but this experience was truly abysmal and I NEEDED to let it out. FIVE STARS FOR JIM! My mom and I stopped in late Sunday afternoon 11/5./2017 looking for a new fridge. Jim came to our assistance and helped us pick out the perfect refrigerator. We wanted to keep our costs lower and I really wanted a non-basic refrigerator and Jim gave my mother the full specs on the Samsung I wanted, and her pick. She went with the Samsung! He went upstairs and verified it was in stock and set up a delivery date of only 9 days. We were in and out of Lowes in less then 25 minutes! Flash forward 9 days. Delivered guys came as I expected after a confirmation call the Saturday before. They were at the front of the two hour window and although it took them some time to put together the doors on my new fridge ( and get out my old wedged in dying fridge ( $15 cost to remove the old appliance ) everything was perfect! Love my new Samsung fridge, and love our experience at Lowes- Highly recommended!! read more

Wow, I don't know if it's just this store, but it's probably not so I'll definitely be going to Home Depot for stuff like this in the future. My story: I finally bought a portable air conditioner today and was all excited to bring it home and set it up. Only when I open the box and start setting it up do I realize it's completely missing the attachment to the window, rendering it useless. Thank God I realized that before I did anything with the window. I call and think well that sucks but I'll come by tomorrow and get the missing piece from other box. NOPE. I'm told I have to wrap this 150 pound monster back into its box that was only held together by zip ties in the first place (the bottom isn't attached to the rest of the box so you lift the rest of the box up from it). I can't believe I have to haul this heavy thing back to my car by myself while trying to keep it from falling out of the box hoping the postal tape I have to keep it together works. I'm so pissed. Lowe's should be picking up this crap if it needs the whole thing back. So I guess I'm gonna go back there tomorrow after carrying this thing that's heavier than most people are from my apartment to my car. I would recommend checking that the things you buy there have all their parts before you even leave the parking lot! Because apparently if they don't you have to be the one to put the whole thing back together in the box and haul it back. Btw, I tried to vent on the Lowe's website but of course they don't even have a place you can send any complaints. So I'm pretty sure Lowe's is a trash company as a whole. The workers themselves looked like they hated their jobs too. When I asked an attendant to unlock the air conditioner for me at the first place, he looked at me so begrudgingly I actually said "Um, or it doesn't have to be you ... I can ask someone else." And then he just didn't say anything except "I have to carry it to checkout." But, like, why does he have to carry it? Why don't they have carts for that? They didn't have an easy cart to carry it out of the store either when I checked out. So I'm definitely remembering all this and never going back except to exchange this stupid air conditioner that better work well after all this. Big and full, the space has nearly everything one could want or need for home improvement work. Two things we would recommend, based on this visit: 1. Put up signage! We had no idea where to start and which way to go to find the two items we needed. And we had to find people to ask, which leads to the second suggestion, 2. Have staff greet or at least ask people if there is anything they need help with. It took us about five minutes to find someone who didn't rush past us, looking beyond us before we could stop an employee to ask any questions. read more

Then, just now, a Lowe's repair man called me and asked me why I haven't turned on the hose behind the washing machine myself--please keep in mind that their employees neglected to turn it back on when they were here two days ago--and I explained for what's now the seventh time to a Lowe's employee: I'm both legally disabled and have cancer. He then became angry w/ me and said I'd "save us a trip if you could just do it yourself." Near tears, I asked, "Is there some part of my being both legally disabled and having cancer that you don't understand?" He then snorted and said they wouldn't be out tonight as scheduled "because we've been helping a lot of other customers". I just got off the phone w/ the Specialty Manager who is similarly unaware of even basic legal precepts and is almost perversely inept. Look. You've got a massive shoplifting issue. I get that. And the flashing-talking-recording towers in the parking lot may be a good move. I get that too. But who the heck are you hiring inside the store?? I walked in tonight at 8:45 and was followed allll the way back to the lighting section by the sloppiest looking security guard with an equally sloppy looking vehicle parked out front. I could hear him panting before I saw him. His uniform was filthy (visible dirt all the way down the front, like he was literally rolling in dirt) and his pants were sagging, struggling to stay up like pants do. Anyway, I think he missed the crackhead identification class at security guard school. Because he surveilled me (in my gym clothes, no backpack, carrying a $10 can of paint) for most of the last 10min prior to closing. I'm no shoplifting expert, but in my thrice-weekly trips to Lowe's, it's PRIME TIME. On my way to the front, I was passed by the perfect stereotypical drug addicts, with full backpacks, and a single bottle of paint thinner (which they buy, because their so clever) shuffling up to the front of the store. I turned to the equally clever mouth-breathing security guard and pointed to them, said "really?", but he was already back in incognito mode hiding behind a one of the pallets everyone squeezes through in the isles. So I paid and walked out behind the crowd of junkies, and was thanked (true to Lowe's form) only by the dystopian flashing tower on my way out. read more

Oh man am I behind on my reviews! Between work and COVID-19, 2020 has really thrown a huge curveball. Anyways, so let's catch up. So we recently moved into the Seattle/Shoreline neighborhood and started to explore some of the hardware stores around us. We had just moved into a new house and something required assembling. Lowe's was super close so they were naturally the first place we stop in to look around. It's hard to make a judgement during the pandemic time since many supply chains have been disrupted due to COVID-19. That being said, though, Home Depot is just down the road and doesn't seem to have as many issues. I have found the plant section here to be lacking. They are constantly running out of supplies especially popular items like plastic buckets. They carry Kobalt supplies but never seem to be able to stock their batteries that are needed for their tools. It just makes the experience shopping here frustrating. That being said, the folks here are helpful, kind and professional. For the things they DO carry, this location is convenient. I will say, though, that although they have some great prices for wood, their wood quality is poor. Better to go to a lumbar yard. If you're getting big and bulky items, park along the side so you don't have to haul all your stuff across the busy parking lot. Come early in the morning or during the weekday. The weekends are crazy here! read more

If there is a decent Lowe's on Planet Earth, I would sure like to know about it. I placed an online order for switch plates, because Lowe's has the kind that matches the ones in my new house - I'm guessing a house brand? Anyway, I needed some to match, and Lowe's stocked them. Problem 1, which I admit may be my own fault - I thought I was ordering them to be shipped to me, and somehow ended up with a store pickup order in Seattle. I live in Woodinville, so this is really not convenient, which I explained when a staff member called to say they didn't have the full number I had ordered - there was no mechanism to transfer the order to another location or to ship them out. Well done Lowe's - either your systems are badly in need of updating or your staff is badly in need of training. We finally got a chance to go pick them up, and after waiting a good ten minutes for someone to appear at the order pickup desk - no, there's no call button, bell, or staff member willing to locate someone - someone finally shows up and ... can't find our order. Can't find anyone to help him, can't find it, can't quite figure out what to do. Eventually he locates the order, which has to be rung up in store because ... I don't know, I give up trying to figure this mess out. I was glad to be out of there, and I hope never to go back. read more

This is about the delivery service for a new stove. We purchased the installation service as we have a gas hookup. Delivery drivers were not qualified to perform the installation. They had on record that we paid for installation. They left the stove in the living room and said to call customer service then left. Customer service didn't like my complaining so they hung up on me. Haha. What a way to be? So we have a stove in the living room for a few days as installation can't come out for a while. Gee. Thanks. What a fiasco. You'd think after 102 years in business they could deliver and install an appliance. So incompetent. read more

The low ratings you read about this store are correct. They tried to deliver the SAME defective stove to my house TWICE. Almost impossible to reach appropriate staff over the phone. On visiting the store in person to get a refund on my credit card, it took 5 different employees of increasing levels of authority to correctly process my refund. This took an hour. Shop as small and as local as you can even if you have to pay a little more. Time is money too. Paul G. Note: the comment about sex workers soliciting is also correct. The Lowe's parking lot is full of them. While at customer service attempting to get the refund a sex worker approached Customer Service in tears reporting that someone was trying to kidnap her. Don't buy or have any appliances delivered or installed. Had two guys come out and I guess because I'm a woman, they didn't believe the water was off. They left without taking the old refrigerator (which was a service I paid for) and I had to drag the refrigerator over and install it myself after taking a day off of work. I think the workers are doing the best they can but the curbside pickup is terrible. I ordered on Monday, didn't get notification it was ready until Friday. The confirmation email didn't indicate how long it will take so I called on Tuesday and found out they were a week behind. That's not their fault, but their confirmation email needs to notify people of the estimated time. Even better, the website should say that before you order. When I went to pickup, there was almost no signage noting where to go (and the email didn't say anything either). I found a spot labeled Pickup Only, parked, and called. The Curbside Pickup option on the phone transferred me to a line that rang for five full minutes before I gave up, called back, and after lots of menu options finally got to speak to a customer service person. She was very helpful except she wanted me to tell her the number of my parking spot. I'm looking everywhere and don't see a number anywhere. Finally she comes out, loads my order, and points out to me that there is a separate numbered row of spaces for curbside pickup which is apparently different from Pickup Only spots! I parked near the actual curb and these spots were just another row in the parking lot. Very confusing. Again, not her fault at all, but a terrible system by the store. Lots of employees on Friday when went to get some lumber. All carts insight had bits of lumber on them with no one around! When started to remove from one cart an employee finally appears to ask what they can help with and we said help clear a cart so we can buy some lumber! He helped, and went to counter with and stood with cart while we got car. Several employees standing around in front talking no visiting no customers around! Don't people actually work any more? Maybe they don't pay enough or going out of business? Where are any supervisors?! Covid just means fewer customers also. read more

I bought a 10x12 shed from Lowe's in Feb, 2022. I paid extra for installation and permit submission. It is almost June, and the shed is not even delivered. The bottleneck is with their subcontractor, Backyard Products. After months of waiting, I discovered that no permit was even submitted. After many phone calls and emails, someone finally submitted a permit with the city of Mountlake Terrace. But the permit wasn't fully complete. So I have to do more phone calls and emails to get Backyard Products to submit missing documentation (shed plans). This whole mess has been very frustrating. I'd ask for my $5,000+ back, but Lowes requires a restocking fee of $2,000. At this point, I don't know when the shed will be delivered and installed. My advice: When it comes to buying installation services from Lowes and Backyard Products, don't do it. In hindsight, I should have gone with Tuff-Shed. read more

At the beginning from the covid19 opening of Lowes Seattle was very difficult to shop in. However, today was the last of my patience. I have a gallon of paint i purchased a year ago that needed shaken, the store I purchased it from is still not open from the shutdown, Lowes denied my request even thought they had 2 empty shakers. I was shocked at the degree of their VERY uncustomer service behaver like attitude. They paint manger did not want to help a customer. I did not go in only needing the paint shaken. I had several other items. read more
