I decided to go with 1st Ave because they were very responsive on the phone and email, and they were able to do the work faster than GS. I also really liked that the people at 1st Ave weren't pushy like at they were at some of the other companies. They came though with all they promised to do - called me when they were on the way to the job site, installed everything so all cabinets and drawers lined up and worked flawlessly, cut the quartz offsite and came back to install countertops, and cleaned up after themselves. I have been recommending them to friends and neighbours, and I would most definitely use them again.

They assured that we are getting a fantastic set of fixtures for our bathroom remodel. We swallowed hard because the cost was 50% more than the metal fixtures we had looked at by Koehler, but they convinced us. What a mistake. All of the control handles and Blu fixtures are stamped from plastic with cheap metallic coating. We've had two completely delaminate, and all of the wall covers have come loose. Our general contractor has been trying to get Pedini to replace those which the yellow plastic is showing through the cheap veneer, but three months later, the only thing we hear is the chip of crickets. Please think long and hard about a high-end distributor who pawns cheap plastic fixtures off, then seems to avoid standing behind them when they fail.

The project came together, but not with a lot of back and forth that wasn't necessary. I had to do a phase 2 effort, that I wanted to match the cabinets, but I can't even get them to respond to a design request. I don't know about their past, but 2024 through the beginning of 2025 makes them a non-viable vendor. Consider others that will be responsive and prioritize your project.

There was something about Terence when I first met him that I really liked. I kept his business card. I ended cancelling my order with my cabinet maker and set up an appointment with Terence. I really liked the style of cabinets he was offering and really connected with him. I found Terence to be very hard working and honest. He really wanted to help me achieve the modern look I was aiming for. We connected and developed a great working relationship! I had quite a job for him, a kitchen, walk in pantry and 3 bathrooms that all needed cabinets. He was attentive to details and very responsive with communications in his emails and texts. Terence has so many years of experience behind him. He is so good in trouble shooting areas that might need a little help. He is also very hands on and did some of the install himself. He inspected every single cabinet and adjusted them where it was needed. Terence has a great attitude, happy and so easy to get along with. I really enjoyed working with Terence. I trusted his insight and judgement. I even would ask him for his opinion on decorating my home and he was so helpful with his design tips. For our kitchen remodeling project, we asked design proposals and quotes from three companies…read more Although ABS did not offer the lowest price, Vinson's proposal met all of our requirements and was very reasonably priced. We chose ABS primarily because of two key solutions Vinson proposed: one was to reuse two hardwood pantry pullouts from our original cabinets, and the other was to remove the soffit above the existing cabinets, extend the new cabinets all the way to the ceiling, and hide the exhaust duct inside the cabinetry, which resulted in a very clean and attractive look. Construction started after Thanksgiving. Despite the cold, windy, and rainy weather, Vinson's team was always punctual and highly professional. They paid great attention to detail, including excellent dust control during the demolition of the old cabinets. Our house is relatively old and was renovated in the 1970s, so the floors and walls are not very level. The team handled these challenges very well. Vinson also provided helpful and professional advice regarding replacing the aluminum wiring connected to the electric oven with copper wiring, which gave us greater peace of mind regarding safety.

I came in with a design and Mica's attention to detail caught a couple of dimension errors that would have caused me problems at the install. I was so thankful she found them before we got too far along to fix it. Unfortunately, I was already signed up with a different contractor to install the cabinets as part of a larger project so, I was not able to have ABS install the cabinets. I regret this. My contractors were not as skilled as Vinson. Thankfully, he was kind enough to make himself available, on a number of occasions, to give input to ensure that the cabinets could be installed correctly and look their best. I really appreciate his professional attitude. The cabinets are well made and beautiful. ABS's quartz fabricator, Kenny, was very skilled. I was concerned about the placement of the faucet centering on my kitchen window and he was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. Also, the countertops were installed so well you can barely see the seam in the quartz. It would have to be pointed out to you. I can't say enough good things about this place. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I'm pretty OCD about things so needless to say - I was VERY involved. When it came to selecting the details: sink, handles, appliances, bar stools, lighting, cabinet inserts, under counter LED strip lighting, (even in the liquor cabinet - gorgeous!) we would pow-wow for the right specs then I would jump online and order exactly what I loved. They delivered even more than promised. Erv is a stickler for the details! I was living there during the remodel which can be dicey. They respected my privacy and accommodated my security needs for my dogs every day while I was at work. They're like my kids, so them getting out was a huge fear. Needless to say, my dogs totally loved the crew. AND the two little doggie beds they built in for them. . And even plug ins for their heating pads. Yes. They're spoiled. I had a change for them (cringe). I thought I wanted to get rid of the small window above the stove because when people approach the house they can see all the way through. Well, when the window was gone I realized that I really missed the light and view. Erv was so good about removing the already replaced and individually cut hardy plank shingles on the exterior. He returned the window without making me feel like it was a huge hassle and made it even bigger. I LOVE IT! Can't speak highly enough about the quality of work and the ease of working with the entire crew. They even worked holidays and weekends to get my project done more quickly so I could have my house back. Who does that?! I now have a kitchen that a million dollar mansion would be envious of. Price was less than half of the marble counter quotes I was getting and I was super happy with the result. They communicated with me frequently and made the process super easy. They were in and out in half a day! Very happy with our experience and definitely recommend them.
