We went to the Lowe's in New Braunfels, Texas to buy a 4-piece appliance bundle (cooktop, oven, vent hood, and built-in microwave) specifically because they were advertising 25% off appliance bundles. At the register, the system showed 25% off the oven and the microwave. Then we were told the microwave was out of stock in the warehouse and had to be ordered from the manufacturer. As soon as they changed it to that order, the SKU changed and the discount disappeared, even though it was the exact same microwave model. We pointed out that: * We were still buying the full bundle. * The only reason the SKU changed was Lowe's own process, not our choice. Instead of trying to honor the promotion or find a reasonable workaround, the manager was dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly rude. There was zero effort to make it right. Because of this: * The advertised 25% bundle discount was not honored due to a technicality on Lowe's side. * The manager's attitude made the whole experience much worse. We left without buying the appliances and will seriously reconsider using this Lowe's for any future purchases. read more

I ordered a Blink camera on the Lowe's website and went to the New Braunfels Lowe's to return it because it was defective. A manager named Mike refused to return my shipping cost. He was rude, spoke over me, and would not let me get in a word edgewise. He swung the computer screen around and said "this is all I can refund to you" (the purchase price). He said "you were provided a service". I advised that if I met the shipping minimum I would have been provided the same "service" at no cost. He told me I need to call customer service. Have ordered curbside several times. They will not answer phones after being on hold Over 10 minutes and checking in online twice. Waited outside over 20 minutes. Thankfully when I went in a gentleman in self check assisted me very kindly. No point in offering curbside if you can't deliver it to car. C) Lowes will refuse to deliver the complete order. They will not tell you this until the order shows up. They refused to deliver the complete order after they told me they will. Until I threaten not pay my bill at all. Then the other part of the order will be delivered. Then they double billed me for this order. Now Lowes is refusing to take the other charge off. Katie. Old, White Racist People Are The Worst. I was shopping at Lowe's and got what I needed. While walking around, I noticed an older lady wandering the aisles for about 10 minutes. She caught my attention, and I wondered if she might be lost. I approached her and asked if she was okay. She replied, "Yes, I've been walking around looking for help and advice about my A/C filter, but I can't find anyone to assist me." I looked around myself but couldn't find anyone available either. There was a worker in the appliance section who had been talking to the same customers for over 20 minutes. I approached him politely and let him know that a lady needed help in the A/C filter section. She appeared to be in her late 80s and was clearly in need of assistance. The employee responded by speaking to me in Spanish, which I didn't understand. Thinking he might not speak English, I even tried speaking German, but that didn't help either. I then went to find a manager and explained the situation. It's frustrating to see elderly employees at Lowe's who are either unwilling or unable to help customers. This kind of customer service makes the company lose business. I think corporate should go undercover to see how staff are actually treating customers, especially when sales are declining. Some of these older workers might be better off enjoying retirement or pursuing other hobbies instead of being rude and getting paid to ignore or mistreat customers. read more

Went to Lowe's in New Braunfels TX. to take advantage of the promotion for 40% off on Valspar stains and clear brushes. I had a 5 gallon stain mixed with the color we chose and at checkout was not given the 40% off. Since the manager, Mike Clark was unable to fix the issue. He said, there was nobody else above him to help. We ended up, leaving and not buying our stain which was already mixed along with the rest of the $300 + merchandise we were set to purchase. So unfortunate, poor service! Such a waste of product and my time. He offered me a 10% discount which did not come close to the 40% advertised sign. The cashier in pigtails braids (I didn't get her name) was so rude and the lady at the paint counter kept saying she doesn't work for Lowe's. Overall horrible experience. As a customer, I don't appreciate the attitude for their poorly placed sign which clearly reads Valspar Stains and Clear Brushes 40% off. Placed with the Valspar Stains. No other details or exclusions are written. I've posted images. I asked for the number to the corporate office, Mike googled it on his phone no business card for a corporate contact or his supervisor. Apparently Mike doesn't have a supervisor, no one above him but his card reads ASM. Hmmm... I tried to call the customer service number and it was closed... during their operation hours. Ultimately, they are responsible for the misleading and poorly placed sign. It is not the consumers fault. I literally went there to give them my business. It's truly not the money at this point it's the principle. I'm disappointed and disgusted by the way I was treated even though I was nice, I was met with rude attitude by the associates. Mike was nice at first but ultimately unhelpful. I find it hard to believe Mike doesn't have someone he reports to. We all have a boss unless it's his private business. I will say the garden center employee is always there. The lady who works there is so helpful and knew exactly what aisle the dirt was. The cheap top soil was all over the place and a big mess. If Don is not interested in working in the plumbing department, he should seek employment elsewhere. Typically, I love the store they give me my military discount and it was actually full of helpful people for the longest time. Now I can't find help at all especially when I wanna buy something that is locked behind padlocks due to the insane amount of theft, that must be going on in new Braunfels last I heard we weren't San Francisco. Bought a washer...salesman implied it was free delivery and installation with purchase of $36 hose set and I paid $50 for pickup of my old washer. Delivery was not within their 4 hour window, they didn't have room to take my washer with them, and there was a $29 charge for delivery. Yes... I should have paid more attention on the delivery and hoses piece...but the salesman was also misleading. I was able to return the hoses for a refund (just a short drive and a hassle I didn't need). Still waiting on response for WHEN they are going to pickup the washer in my garage. Yup... Home Depot for sure next time. read more

The people at this store have mistreated me, the manager did not bother to speak to me when I initially called, so no, I will not speak to anyone at the store.*** Long time customer but reconsidering my loyalty based on this terrible experience at self checkout. I was profiled by the person at the self checkout terminals. This is the second time that this has happened in the last three months and this will be the last. This time the checkout person was brazen enough to rifle through my bag as I was paying for the items. Then she proceeded to pick up my bag with the pretext of passing it through the sensor detector at the cash register. I was livid! Her excuse, "Just want to make sure that there are no active sensors". WTF?!? She did not do that to any of the Anglo customers that checked out before me. Why would she do that specifically with me??? Is racial profiling Lowe's store policy??? Is this how loyal, long time customers are treated??? To make matters worse, I called the store to let the manager in charge know about my experience. The customer service rep asked why I was needing to speak to the manager. I let her know I needed to register some feedback and she transferred me. That line rung about 40-50 times before I decided the manager was not in the mood to speak with an irate customer to bother to pick up the line. I hung up and here we are. I will be heard. I will tell everyone I can about the racial profiling I personally experienced at Lowe's. I will tell them that this is the second time it has happened. I will tell them I am of the opinion that minorities are not welcome to shop at Lowe's without the presumption of intent to shoplift. I will tell them this unless someone, with enough influence to effect change, from Lowe's corporate office (and I mean corporate only) contacts me and explains to me a reasonable and probable cause as to why that person felt justified in rifling through my bag, as if I was a petty thief, in front of other customers. Y'all. Last week I went into this store with the intention of getting some Duraplex glass and having them cut it for me. (Last Lowes I went to they took forever and huffed and puffed like I was taking away from their precious time; like they were annoyed). But when I asked for help in this store I was met with an AMAZING attitude by this gentleman; I think his name was Dan? He helped me pick the proper size for what I needed and cut it for me quickly and happily! I had my 2yr old son with me and he was SO sweet to him! At checkout we were greeted by I think his name was Troy? He used to work in South America that's what i remember lol! Sorry I forget the names, but he was amazing as well! You need to pay to print at least 20 pages along with the price of the ink. They don't consider what we are going through these days. Horrible customer service. Went to garden center to pick up a few things and saw some concrete bird baths on a pallet clearly marked with the price ($46) After I checked out all my things I noticed I was charged almost ten dollars more than price shown. I showed the person that had just finished the transaction. She told me I would have to go to customer service. So I take my flat push cart with this heavy concrete bird bath all the way from the garden center through the front doors to customer service. Wait in line with two or three people in front of me. Worker was only one working and as I approached she answered the ringing phone and was talking and motioned me to hand her my receipt. I pointed at the bird bath she nodded her head as she knew what I was trying to convey to her. The then proceeded to return all the things on my receipt back to my account hangs up the phone and says just leave cart there. I then tell her I just needed to be charged the correct price for the bird bath ($46) She scans it and says I was charged what the barcode says ($56) it should be. I tell her of the pallet and the clearly marked sign. She then tells me to go back to the garden center and take a picture of it. So I walk back out take a picture and return. Now another person being helped wait my time in line then show her the picture. She says I need to ask a manager and calls a manager who tells her she is on a forklift and will be there in a few minutes. I then move out of way for more customers Manager shows up and looks at picture and says it should ring up at a higher price ($59) that was on another pallet and a young man "helper" corrects her and says I looked them up on line and they show the price ($56) I was charged not the higher price ($59) the Manager stated. So then she turns to me and said you were charged the correct price don't know why the sign stated they were cheaper and walks off. read more

This location feels entitled to just ignore a corporations employee policy protocol. Paying for a phone line to help the customers they're blatantly ignoring. Wasting a businesses money to provide horrible customer experiences can't be good to the bottom line profits. Maybe look into why this location doesn't adhere to policy in regards to phone inquiries. Definitely horrible customer service at this location. I can just imagine what curbside or online order customers are experiencing. Pathetic to even know management allows this blatant lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Lowes customer service rep this day just felt that they earned a in store vacation away from responsibility. Got to love the people that are hired to stand around and figure out how to avoid on the job duties. Talk about giving pay raises. Give the customer service here a bonus and pay bump. We were shopping for a full size battery powered Mower and compared it via the store app prior to going to the store. The sales guy we finally got to help us was extremely polite and kind. The only problem was that he said we could order a mower that was sold out, pay for it at customer service, and it could be delivered to this store for pickup in a few days. We went to 'customer service' and the lady there said, uh, "no- we don't do that here". She then paged for him by name on the intercom and we waited for a few minute. After some confusion amongst ourselves, we just decided to go to the Schertz location to purchase the model that was sold out at this store. Personally, I don't blame the sales guy. I just think that communication on store policies between associates should have matched. We don't know which associate was incorrect. - overall store kudos to Lowe's for acknowledging their veterans with a discount and designated parking areas. My father is a veteran who served before I was born. He hardly ever used his past service for a discount until a long -time family member recently told us of the many benefits he was missing -out on by obtaining his old papers and taking them to the DMV... (this rightfully designates my father as a veteran on his license). fast forward to current day- now that my father is elderly and has health issues, the front parking areas next to the handicap parking, always ensures we have convenient parking options. The veteran store "discount" only applies to non -sale items but it helps. Every little bit helps. We are grateful to any establishment that offers veteran perks. Side note: this particular store is much busier than the Schertz location. (The difference was night and day. I'll review that location later... But it was so quiet and less busy than this store. Hello, I was shopping at your Lowe's store in New Braunfels, Tx 78130 earlier this evening. I went there to purchase multiple items because of an EMAIL ad I received directly from Lowe's at 8:15am this morning. I was at the store for over an hour with my wife to purchase plants, mulch, potting soil, pots/ planters; flowers, rock, etc that totaled over $200. All high margin items for your bottom line. However, when I got to the register to pay, the cashier would NOT honor the advertised AD price of 4 bags for $10 on the Mulch (see ad I received in Pic attached). I asked to speak to the MANAGER and he also REFUSED to honor the advertised price for the mulch. Needless to say I was very upset that Lowe's would send me an email ad DIRECTLY to get me into your store 16 miles away for me and then FAIL to honor the AD. I told the manager he is in the wrong role as he LOST the TOTAL sale and a CUSTOMER due to being clueless in making a small decision related to FALSE ADVERTISING and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's called an ID10T error in my line of work. Needless to say I left your idiot managed store and drove straight to HOME DEPOT to purchase my items. This is specifically about the internet ordering. The store is usually much better and my go to location. I went online and ordered. Why would you do that? The convenience of the checkout. What is the one thing that you worry about? Lumber is like produce - there's an art to picking good products. Most people don't trust grocery stores to pick their fruit and veggies. For lumber yards/big box retailers - it's the concern re: the condition of the wood & lumber. Well - guess what? I guess they are trying to get rid of their garbage wood thru the internet pickup. That was TERRIBLE. I bought eight 1x4x8's and three of them would be anything a reasonable person would pick out. Two of them were so bad I'm going to just have to add them to my fire pile. The count was accurate, the other items were accurate. One of the four plywood sheets was that scuffed up warped top one that you usually slide to the side. For real?? I am really disappointed. If you don't pay any attention to my advice (skip this location), then you are on your own. Note that the internet pickup is NOT near the Pro/Construction door. It's in it's own kiosk near customer service on the other side of the store. Good news is that they have their own convenient parking spaces which you can see if you push all your lumber back across the other side of the parking lot because you didn't pay attention to this review. read more

This Lowes has a long wait time in the cashiers lines. You can no longer use the self check out if you are military which is faster if you only have a few things. Since I am military and I get a discount every time I shop with Lowe's in store and online at this Lowe's I have to go to a regular cashiers lane which can take quite some time. At Home Depot you just show your military ID and they give you the discount at any register. Also I usually park closer to the garden center because everything I shop for is near the Garden Center. On this day after entering the store through the Garden Center the cashier had to lock the gate and leave the area so I couldn't leave through the garden center. It was a much longer walk back to my car with my knee replacement. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience today. I had a very nice associate helping me out but she had issues with the computer. She called over a team lead who told her she was wrong in a very unkind voice. Then proceeded to give me attitude because I didn't know the "discount rules". I asked head cashier Maria for a manager and she said she was the manager after I clearly seen the "head cashier" nametag. Once we were done my husband mentioned that he had asked her for help earlier and she ignored him because she was on her phone and then proceeded to seem annoyed that he was able to get her attention. On each occasion, we were assisted by awesome customer service reps: in particular, Tom, Cody, and Nekova. This Lowe's is, without a doubt, the worst Lowe's I have ever dealt with. Their customer service horrible. First experience: I visited Lowe's of New Braunfels on November 4, 2020. I was looking to purchase a refrigerator. I was told by the employee who worked in the appliance section that she could not give me my military discount because it did not apply to large appliances. After speaking with the 1800 customer service line, I found that to be a bold face lie. I made the employee physically go to the back of the store and ensure they physically had the model refrigerator I wanted in stock. The employee assured me they physically had it in stock. I spoke with a manager who assured me they would set the refrigerator to the side for delivery after I ordered and paid for the refrigerator online. I then, ordered and paid for the refrigerator online in order to get my military discount they refused to give me in the store. I waited around for a phone call to set up delivery (which never came by the way). After two weeks of waiting, I finally called the delivery customer service phone number and they informed me that my order was pawned off on the San Antonio store. I had to call the San Antonio store to set up my delivery. I went back to the New Braunfels store to complain about them pawning my order off on another store, and to pick up my refrigerator they assured me was set to the side and reserved for me. Low and behold...yep, you guessed it, they no longer had it in stock because they sold it out from under me. Luckily, I had already set up a delivery with the San Antonio store for December 9, 2020. December 2, 2020 I was informed by my home builder that they had push my closing date back to December 11, 2020. I went back to the New Braunfels Lowe's store to reschedule my delivery date to December 11, 2020. I was then informed that my refrigerator was on back order until January 28, 2021. I almost lost my mind. So, now I have went from them physically having it in stock to having to live for almost two months without a refrigerator due to back order. I told them they could have a manager meet me back in the appliance department if they wanted to, but they only had about 10 minutes because I was going back there to take the most expensive refrigerator I could find out the front door and load it in my truck because I was tired of being jerked around. Wouldn't you know it...a manager met me back there. Luckily his name tag said "veteran." I walked out of there with the floor model of the exact refrigerator I ordered for $1,000 less than I originally paid for it. If it wasn't for that "veteran" manager, I might be in jail right now. Second experience, I revisited Lowe's New Braunfels on December 26, 2020 to buy a drill bit. I went to the self check out line to pay. The employee working the self checkout line was pointing at different registers and yelling at everyone, "Cash only," or "Cash or Credit Card." When she yelled at me I told her I have a military discount. She repeated herself, yelling even louder, "CASH OR CREDIT CARD!!!" So, I yelled back, "I HAVE A MILITARY DISCOUNT." I don't know, maybe she was hard of hearing. Anyway, she told me that she wasn't allowed to do military discounts in the self checkout line. Well, needless to say, I called customer service back and they informed me that, you guessed it, that was a bold face lie also; however, customer service did not offer to compensate me in any way. They only said, "we're sorry and we'll document this complaint." Lowe's of New Braunfels has the worst customer service of any store I have ever visited.
