I just left Pronto Pawn in New Braunfels and was hoping to make a purchase of a firearm. I did my research on this particular pistol and for a used model the prices ranged from 325.00 - 357.00. I researched this particular model in new condition form and the pricing ranged from 399.00 - 499.00 of course this includes new firearm warranty and also including 3×21 round magazines. So in short, their USED model with NO WARRANTY AND ONLY ONE 17 round magazine asking price was 449.00. Of course if I could not negotiate a fair price I would buy the NEW MODEL for 399.00 w/NEW FIREARM WARRANTY AND 3×21 round magazines. Comparing apples to apples just the 21 round magazines alone are 29.99 each with the new firearm. I started my offer at 300.00 dollars hoping to negotiate a fair price for this used firearm. So in short be very careful of pricing and do your diligent research and not pay an unfair price for an item that they sell. read more

I love popping into local pawn shops to see what kind of guitars, jewelry, firearms, and electronics they have. This place has it all and for great prices! The prices at Pronto are half what they are at any other shop in town. Any the service is honest and super friendly. We sat and talked to the two men working there, one may have been the owner, for probably 20 minutes. They were so kind and easy to chat with. Highly recommend stopping in to Pronto Pawn and giving them your business. Also, there's a Guild and Taylor on the wall for such great prices. Someone needs to go snag them if only to keep me from spending all my money!! read more

Walk-in received no greeting. The manager and employee working not once but twice I witnessed them both act as if they don't know how to unpair an Apple Watch when customers needed help. Literally they had zero customer service skills. I've been to this shop a hand full of times and always had a great experience. Employees weren't the same I think. read more

I love coming into this shop!! For a pawn shop, they have some of the nicest things!! Lydia is so cool- she always has the nicest nails and friendliest tone- she takes the time to chat which is always welcome with me and makes me feel like more than just a $ sign! And Branden is so sweet, kind and MORE THAN WILLING to help me find what I'm looking for. He is probably the most patient person I've ever encountered working at a pawn shop!! I will make the drive and come here any time to see what's new!!! Seems (unlike a lot of pawn shops) they rotate and put new things out all the time!! I do not recommend this store he has an employee named Lydia who is one of the most rudest human beings I've ever come into contact with. When I walked in the store I was greeted with " what do you need" I explained I was looking for a handgun I saw a purple one in the counter and I told her I would like to look at that one. she asked me if the handgun was for me and I said yes then she asked me how I knew that gun was there did I send somebody in here to look for that gun for me. I said no I just got off of work and I've been looking for a purple 9mmm but academy doesn't have any so I decided to take a look at a few pawn shops. then she said how she thought it was weird that I would just walk in and immediately know that I wanted that specific gun. she took my ID and allowed me to look at the gun I kind of chuckled and explained that I wouldn't know what to look for in a good or a bad guy especially since it's used. I handed the gun back to her and she handed it back to me and asked if I would take the clip out I did so even though I thought that was odd. She went to the back for a few minutes by this time there was quite a few customers in the store and she comes back out and handsome ID and makes a scene saying that she would not allow me to purchase this gun in the store today because she didn't think it was normal for someone to walk in and know exactly what product they wanted to purchase. So I do not recommend the store to anybody until they fire Lydia. read more
